Oh I’d say from looking at quite a few of the pictures inside the event ( now apparently deleted) that Harry was evidently enjoying himself and happy to be there! ( perhaps the glum face was only for the photographers on the way in?!)

Meghan’s outfit was an odd choice, completely covered neck to toe in black (bar a glimpse of a ‘well sculptured leg’ 🙄).

There is always media coverage and SM commentary on these type of celebrity parties, award ceremonies etc and it’s always best or worst dressed person etc. It’s what happens when you put yourself out there, not everyone is going to think you look the dogs wotsits even if you think you do

I wasn’t going to join this thread just have a read on the latest gossip, but seeing the usual suspects and many new name posters have rushed in with their personal insults to try to goad and derail (dementia is a new one) I’ve changed my mind!

I think the photos were a very bad look for Harry and Meghan when compared to what was happening here and their PR knew it and asked them to be removed from their feed. The optics in the tabloids was really bad for H&M they can’t control that so they have gone into damage limitation, though why they didn’t realise this would be the result is baffling, either the pair of them are desperate to be with the Kardashians at any cost or they are too stupid to realise bad publicity would be the result, probably both come to think of it. Harry clearly learnt nothing from the Lion King premiere.

I mean, Andrew was never convicted either, he settled out of court, yet everyone still rightly lined up to pile on him. And let’s be real, Caroline Flack was in a position of power: socially, as a household name, and literally, when she attacked her boyfriend with a lamp while he slept.

There’s no moral high ground here. Caroline, Ant, and Andrew are all dicks, and I owe them no kindness. They’re equally awful and equally unable to take responsibility for their actions.

I think they do care hence the nowhere to buy a poppy push back, they just want fawning headlines, unfortunately for them their stupidity and desperation always blows up in their faces.

I get what you’re saying, that public figures aren’t automatically owed sympathy, and everyone should be accountable for their actions. But I think the key difference is that Caroline never had her day in court, so we’ll never really know what actually happened, especially since the exact object involved was never confirmed. Andrew’s case was completely different, it involved a civil settlement and serious allegations that were never denied under oath. And with Ant, yes, he made huge mistakes too, but he faced the consequences, got help, and the press handled him very differently. Caroline’s situation spiralled into a brutal media storm and online hate that clearly broke her down. You don’t have to like her, but it’s just not fair to lump everyone together. You can’t, for example, compare Caroline’s suicide to Jeffrey Epstein's suicide, whose case involved criminal exploitation and power abuse. There's a new documentary on Disney about Caroline's life and struggles, and gives a really thoughtful look at her story. The way she was treated, and how public pile-ons contributed to her death, really should make us stop and think about how we treat people in crisis.
