He was really enjoying this 😂 as opposed to what he's seen previously .. but what's the story about the Sussex photos being deleted ?

The photos of Meghan at the Kardashian party all show her as looking relaxed l, happy and a genuine smile on her face unlike the fake rictus grimace she often sports.

She is amongst her kind of people, low life trash, porn stars, grifters and talentless people.

I actually really enjoy the discussions on here when they focus on the PR and brand management side of things, there are some genuinely knowledgeable people who understand how it all works behind the scenes. But the nasty comments about how H and M look just aren’t needed. Whatever anyone thinks of them, they’re still human. Let’s all remember Caroline Flack.

OP posted this therefore inviting comments from mumsnet members - that’s way more interaction than I’ve ever head with Meghan Markle. So that argument doesn’t quite work.

I’d still genuinely love to know the thought process behind seeing these photos, saving them, uploading them and starting a thread just to bitch about a woman you’ve never met (because although the title is Harry, as ever the pile on if about the woman). Just seems like a bizarre way to spend your free time.

I guess it shows the power of royal/press propaganda!

It’s a message board and OP posted about a public figure. You didn’t even try to debate or offer an opinion on the topic, just personally attacked them because they posted something you didn’t like but doesn’t break MN guidelines. Depending on where you read , the reasons are

1. H and M weren’t actually invited but tagged along with another guest ( Serena?)
2. Kris Jenner wanted the focus on her and her family ( doesn’t make a lot of sense given some of the guests!)
3. One or more of the sisters don’t like M so the photos were deleted ( a bit more likely)
4. The Sussexes/ their PR realised that photos of an ex serviceman pictured partying while his father, brother etc were honouring the dead was not a good look . Especially as his wife wasn’t wearing a poppy .
5. Something else !

On this thread she’s had her dress sense ridiculed, been called a gold digger and that she’s ‘found her tribe’ with ‘trash’.

I think the low bar was set on mumsnet when lost of posters were speculating on the Princess of Wales Health. I don’t think this thread comes anywhere near.

But I did feel for her as she clearly misunderstood the dress code. She’s a gorgeous slender woman, but the outfit managed to make her look dumpy and the skirt looked ill matched to the top. This has happened to her a few times, so her PA’s aren’t checking things out properly for her.

I’m not a fan of the Kardasian / Jenners. I’d avoid that bunch myself 😀

I do remember the few threads that were really bad about her. they were awful, but thank goodness they stopped. I couldn't even begin to count the amount of threads like this about Meghan and Harry. Meghan is being ripped apart on here.

So you think this is OK? I don't, my standards are higher and FWIW I have made no unpleasant comments on Kate and the wig thread or the Where's Kate thread. This is hardly discussion ... it's mocking a picture where she had her arm extended and it means they are getting divorced and she's looking for the nearest billionaire.

Yup.

Meghan and Harry are public figures - that comes with the territory (much like some think it’s fair game to speculate about the Wales’ marriage or make ghoulish comments about whether Catherine’s wearing a wig or looks too thin/gaunt and let’s not forget the shitshow that was “Where’s Kate”). They thrive on attention. If people stop talking about them, they fade into obscurity. All they really want is to control the narrative (and the Sussex Squad do their best to shut down anything that isn’t fawning 🙋🏼‍♀️).

The OP, by contrast, is a private person posting about a public figure on an open message board in a way that doesn’t break any of MN’s rules or guidelines. Yet you chose to attack them personally instead of engaging reasonably, debating, or just scrolling past. You can ignore them you know. Threads that don’t get traction tend to disappear off the first page pretty quickly.

The POW threads only stopped when her cancer diagnosis was revealed . At the time several posters disappeared ( hopefully to have a good think to themselves) although some have returned under different names.
I don’t see Meghan being ripped apart . I see her dress sense being discussed ; like many I think she often looks a mess but I think she sometimes looks great in jeans and white shirt combo for example.
In my opinion what jars with so many people is the fact that she was warmly welcomed by the majority of British people, accepted a £30million+ wedding , a title, unlimited clothes budget , staff, luxury housing, security , free travel, jewels etc etc then turned her nose up at it , criticised the RF ( especially Catherine) but now shamelessly uses her title to make money .
