Meghan is in Harpers Bazaar magazine, talking the usual tosh. This stood out for me, when asked about Harry, she said, 'No one in the world loves me more than him.'

Which is an interesting comment from a mother of two primary school age children (i.e. children who have not yet entered the 'my parents are so embarrassing' teenaged phase). I'm increasingly finding the whole mess to be rather sad and desperate. Comments like the one above make me very uneasy...what if one partner is unhappy, but the other responds, 'No one in the world loves me more than you', thus manipulating the unhappy partner into staying/doing what the other partner wants. She never says, 'I love him' (or maybe I just never come across that sort of thing), the comments I see as a fairly casual observer are all about how much Harry loves her. It all seems weirdly 'off'.

The cover for Harpers is awful! Her hair and make up aren’t good. Or maybe it’s the lighting. It almost doesn’t look like her.

Meghan in Harpers cover US the link takes me to a page that says ‘oops we don’t have the page you are looking for’ but I clicked on the ‘check out our latest stories’ , & the image of Meghan came up, I clicked on that and was able to read the story and see all the photos.

• Has friends talk to the writer about how amazing and authentic she is

Although this article is very much about brand Meghan, They barely any mention As ever/WLM. Which is another indicator that Megs has lost interest. The NF trailer went out the same day. She’s checked out.

It must be quite a moment for Meghan to be on the Harpers cover though, but she’ll never acknowledge it’s because of who she married, rather than her own achievements.

Yip it is. The writer also makes the point at the end that Meg doesn’t see her to the door. Meg stays in the kitchen.

Meg will explode when her titles are taken off her. She is acting so grandiose.

She even mentions Harry being the one who protects her because he reads her press but she doesn’t. Like he’s part of her comms staff or something.

It’s seriously all gone to her head.

This is the bit I don’t get:

How long is she going to spin this idea out for - they left the RF six years ago, how come it’s taken so long? Was she not finally authoring her own chapter the last time she said she was, or the time before that? Whose narrative was subsuming her when she wrote the book / did the podcasts / the shopify / the investing / ARO / Archewell / tagged along at Invictus / bought the house, the trips to Colombia and Nigeria / Paris / the many interviews / when she bought the awards, made the NF doc and WLM? And how will the next bit - the chapter authored by her instead of someone else - be any different? Sooo many questions…

I can't think of anyone else who has had so many opportunities to talk about herself and show the world who she really is. Every single time she comes across as vapid and inauthentic.
Reminds me of a Nancy Mitford who said something like 'Oh one is so lucky to be wonderful one!'

Also, not sure about overnight but as of now, This story is not ranking high on the DM. She’s seventh down in the sidebar of shame. Catherine hugging Jessie J is top entertainment story.

Not long ago, Megs getting her first big cover would have been top billing on the DM. But no more.

I thought we had collectively heard their “truth” for the last 6 years?!
I mean “when the stakes were this high, doesn’t it make sense to hear their story “ , what does this actually mean if she has been subsumed by other peoples narratives ?
is she now trying to say everything they ( or just her) said previously for 6 years was in fact not true?!

Then she is given the opportunity to say something…..and it’s meaningless sound bites, word salad, carefully curated stories/anecdotes designed to make her look good…….she says nothing of value….ever

You would think that the etiquette would be for the very wealthy client to insist on paying as a mark of appreciation for the designer’s work and to recognise that this is their living.
