Years ago the old adage all publicity is good publicity doesn’t hold water anymore, the landscape has completely changed, if success was based on publicity alone then Harry and Meghan should be as rich as Bezos and if not as rich at least well loved and immensely popular worldwide but they aren’t, I remember when they first left how the press were saying they are going to be billionaires with all companies clamouring for them but in reality what has happened is their trajectory has nosed dived dramatically and their value is falling by the day, once the titles have gone and any bank of Pa funding stops it’s going to be tough times for the pair of them both personally and financially.

I al not a fan of the woman but you cannot deny she is trying her best to earn some cash and support her family. Yes her attempts are sometimes a bit cack handed and cringe, but she is out there hustling and trying. Unlike her useless DH.

Seems they are marketing Meg as a new celeb superstar and they're not even pretending anymore that she’s a dutiful duchess. She could make a lot of money this way. Harry would just be a hanger on.

How about famous people with royal titles need money and will do anything to get it. I think we've been shown a great example of what happens when we just look the other way, don't you?

edit to add: I have zero interest or care if MM goes back to acting. Good luck to her. But not trading off her royal titles, which should be removed.

And we are all allowed to comment and roll our eyes at this, one of their many hypocrisies - because Harry used the RF's suggestion Meghan carry on working as an actor as demonstrative of their, in his eyes, outrageous behaviour towards her.

Time to withdraw the titles. Long overdue. They shouldn't be allowed to merch on them.

It wasn't meant to be "a valid criticism of Markle".
It was a comment on a dress which reminded me of shapewear I'd just been looking at in readiness for an unforgiving dress I'm planning on wearing.
Not everything here is a criticism of or in support of "Markle".

She has started selling her wears at Godmother's bookstore. Now there could be a tonne of stock OIt back, but I’m guessing for this soft launch- that the products on the display table was all the stock. I counted 28 candles. From the inventory, there are 25 candles available. So she sold 3 candles?!?

Nobody has done that. PR people and fans on the payroll have a right to post.
