The royal family
HadlowDown · 27/10/2025 20:55

Hardly anything.
One person shouted out, who got told to shut up by the crowd.
Personally I wish the whole crowd had all started shouting out the same questions.
Bit disappointed only 1 person did TBH.

soupyspoon · 27/10/2025 20:56

He isnt responsible for his brother.

Tiredofbullsit · 27/10/2025 21:00

I think the rude see you next Tuesday had no business doing that.

I am glad the crowd shut him down!

Shameful that you’re “disappointed” @HadlowDown. Speaks volumes.

HalloweenCrow · 27/10/2025 21:06

I think the significant thing here is not what happened so much as the prominence given given to it by certain newspapers like the Mail and other popular media, which indicates where they are likely to want to drive the story and try to assert influence.

suburberphobe · 27/10/2025 21:49

People are furious

Its normal.

You're paying taxes to keep this family in riches

Eyesopenwideawake · 27/10/2025 21:52

Charles knew, that's the bottom line. He didn't know specifically that Andrew assaulted Virgina but from the time the story broke all the seniors royals would have been briefed on all available details, as would all senior ministers.

Inconceivable that they didn't.

My2cents1975 · 27/10/2025 22:02

Heckling? The guy just shouted a valid question. He did not threaten anyone or do anything untoward such as throwing objects.

Charles accepted the job of King on live TV with millions witnessing his oaths so the proverbial buck stops at his desk. He can't put out PR whinging that his mum didn't deal with it a full three years after her passing, especially since it was KC3 who recklessly allowed Andrew and Sarah to slither back into family events.

Live and direct feedback from those who live in his Realm may finally provide KC3 a sense of urgency to deal with his awful brother Andrew.

Screamingabdabz · 27/10/2025 22:28

King Charles needs to be made to feel uncomfortable about this. I normally don’t have any time for protesters at royal visits but on this occasion it’s absolute valid. He needs to roundly boot Andrew out and soon.

Imaginethatifyoucan · 27/10/2025 22:43

The RF need to be seen to be acting strongly and they aren’t. Andrew doesn’t seem even remotely ashamed of his disgusting behaviour .He won’t admit culpability, apologise or move out of his huge pile. He’s absolutely abhorrent, as is his entitled ex wife.

Mistyglade · 27/10/2025 22:50

This post doesnt make any sense. He knew from the time the story broke. What like the rest of us then?

If you say he didnt know he was with VA, what is there that he 'knew'?

noblegiraffe · 27/10/2025 22:55

He's our head of state not our God.

As our head of state we should be able to question him yet there is no forum where this is possible, People saying that it is inappropriate to do this during a handshake and baby kiss event - when is it appropriate to do this?

Nopersbro · 27/10/2025 23:13

Yeah, I don't think that's heckling; it's milder than the opposition at PMQ. But now I want to know if His Maj actually hugged the person that asked for a hug. He can't, can he? Although I suppose Diana would have.

Flomingho · 28/10/2025 00:23

Although I am fond of King Charles he is a weak man. He should have banished Andrew from public life completely when the allegations were first made. He allowed him to feature at his Coronation, still got invited to various RF occasions such as attending church at Xmas. When William is King there won't be any of this dithering. He will be a strong leader.

God yes! Where else is the bloke supposed to ask his questions when our elected representatives don't even have an interest in doing so.

Shame on those kowtowing to the RF who told him to shut up.

The whole family would have known about all the concerns about Andrew and Fergie and their shady grifting for decades, as well as their spending and behaviour with staff. However, I dont blame Charles. Apparently he was against Andrew having the trade envoy role for example. His mother ignored him and has landed him in this 💩. A mothers love only applied to Andrew it seemed (until she needed him to do her job for her because she was too infirm)

He's an elderly man with cancer -he doesn't 'need to be made uncomfortable'. He deserves compassion and kindness.

Maybe if our elected representatives did it for us there would be no need. Instead they are kowtowing to the Palace demands to 'concentrate on other things'

If it's all getting too much for him, he has the option of standing down and letting his son take over.

I think it’s time this dysfunctional family faded into obscurity. People harp on about ‘well they bring in a lot of tourists’ Er no, not if they harbour paedofiles! Andrew is a nasty sick entitled fuck that needs to be in court, not living it up in a Dubai palace. His ginger clinker also needs to be questioned and then told to pay her own way.

Really?

The king is not responsible for the behavior of the other members of his family, really?

Are you responsible for the actions of your siblings?

Surely the only person accountable here is Andrew.

Harbour pedophiles?

What do you mean? As far as I’m aware Andrew isn’t accused of sleeping with anyone underage.

Are you referring to someone else?

thankgoditssaturday · 28/10/2025 06:20

@winter8090so you think it’s fine for 60 year old Prince Andrew to sleep with 17 year old trafficked girls do you? Would you be happy if that was your daughter? I certainly wouldn’t. In my eyes that’s nonce behaviour!
