Why is there more online vitriol towards Megan Markle than Andrew?

I find it ridiculous how there is consistent hate towards Megan markle when she does pretty low key things like launching jam that no one is being forced to buy. People were delighted that she is no longer using HRH titles and even said she shouldn’t call herself the Duchess of Sussex (even though that is distinct from royal titles).

On the flip side - NO ONE has called for an actual investigation into Prince Andrew on the days that he claimed to be at Pizza Express in Woking, when his movements are logged by the royal gamily and his security detail so they eill
know exactly where he was!

He slept with an underage victim of sex trafficking who
conveniently died by suicide shortly before her memoir naming and shaming many individuals came out.

Limited criticism of the late Queen who used £12million
pg her personal money to pay off an underage sec trafficking victim & shielded him from any investigation.

Disgusted by it all and was amused to see the vitriol on an article about Megan breathing, whereas limited calls for Andrew to be investigated by any U.S or UK authorities!

WHY?

Plus, Meghan and Harry are a busted flush now. They have dropped a long way down the food chain and struggle for publicity. They haven’t done anything interesting (to anyone but their fans) for ages so naturally they’ve fallen out of the headlines.

I would have crossed the street to avoid Ms Markle even after watching the engagement interview. It was some time before I learned she was mixed race so my revulsion most certainly can’t be blamed on that.

She’s welcome to dim whinger Harry. I have no beef with them now as long as they stay on the US and stop claiming to be either royal or philanthropists. They’re both fading from view now and that’s fine by me.

Why? Are you like this in real life? I've met people at social functions, through work, all over the place and thought to myself gosh they seem a bit abrupt, strange, unfriendly whatever. I have parked that view and found out they have turned out to be the nicest people and I am glad I gave them a chance.

Obviously if you feel so strongly about someone just from a short interview on the telly, you were never going to give her a chance were you, especially with all the names you have just called her

Lots of people find her annoying which is fair enough.
Other people are just racist.
Lots of people dislike her because she's from the wrong background to be a Royal in their opinion, and wasn't a young virgin bride like Catherine and Diana. A lot of people (including some other women) don't like independent women with opinions.
Her refusal to play along with like of Piers Morgan and his like or bow down to the Royals (who let's face it are hugely dysfunctional) sealed her fate and made the Daily Mail readers seethe with rage.

There are plenty of alleged 'mean girls' in film, TV, public life. Do you have such a strong reaction to them?

You have more in common with Meghan than you think. Random strangers that don’t know you calling you names you don’t agree with. Now just times it by about a million and no one to report it to. Seems a bit unfair you’re right.

But she isn't just posting on IG.

She's done NF series, a podcast of her own plus guested on several others. She's done People magazine interviews, TV interviews, Disney publicity, attended award ceremony's and given speeches, asked to be invited to a show at Paris Fashion Week and called photographers to take her pictures.

She's employed a PR team to publicise her activities. If she didn't want the public to comment about any of that - then she wouldn't do it.

Meghan is a celeb in the California celeb circuit. She's not a private person.

I don’t think most people hate Meghan, it’s a small minority of very vocal posters on here and other places online that can make you think that. I rarely here anyone mention her in real life but when I have heard people talk about her in, most people don’t seem to have much of an opinion on her or feel any hatred is a bit much. On the other hand, when I’ve heard people talk about Andrew, the vast majority think he is scum.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion of course, but I think lots of the negativity around Meghan is just a deliberate construct of the British media. They left the Royal family, therefore are perceived as a threat and have to be cut down to size.

Personally I find her a fascinating, bright and very capable woman. She's building her profile and business alongside Harry's charitable endeavours. What choice do they have? She has to make money (their expenses must be huge when you include security) and is trying various ways to achieve that.

They look genuinely happy together (in my opinion) and I say well done Meghan for not being browbeaten and crushed by the British Establishment. I bet if the Royals could turn back the clock they would have handled things differently. My opinion is that they never thought Harry would leave and put his wife's well-being before the needs of the Royal family. Nice to see them happy and thriving in their gorgeous home - owned and paid for by them, unlike other members of the Royal family!

@crinkletits- nonsense! You’re clearly baiting me here! In essence I’ll spell it out, I have a career based off of my education, I’ve worked really hard to get to where I am. MM has literally done nothing, yet puts herself in front of the world to big-up herself off of the back of other people’s hard work/sad experiences/qualificarions etc. All of what she does though is off the back of the very institution she’s crapped all over. She’s a nasty bully, I am not, but I don’t find it difficult standing up to such people and their behaviours.
