Why is there more online vitriol towards Megan Markle than Andrew?

I find it ridiculous how there is consistent hate towards Megan markle when she does pretty low key things like launching jam that no one is being forced to buy. People were delighted that she is no longer using HRH titles and even said she shouldn’t call herself the Duchess of Sussex (even though that is distinct from royal titles).

On the flip side - NO ONE has called for an actual investigation into Prince Andrew on the days that he claimed to be at Pizza Express in Woking, when his movements are logged by the royal gamily and his security detail so they eill
know exactly where he was!

He slept with an underage victim of sex trafficking who
conveniently died by suicide shortly before her memoir naming and shaming many individuals came out.

Limited criticism of the late Queen who used £12million
pg her personal money to pay off an underage sec trafficking victim & shielded him from any investigation.

Disgusted by it all and was amused to see the vitriol on an article about Megan breathing, whereas limited calls for Andrew to be investigated by any U.S or UK authorities!

Well , just to get back to the Op's question. I don't think there is more vitriol to wards Meghan than Andrew . Taking the piss , criticism , yes. But I think even a blind man on a galloping horse could see (IMHO) PA and SF have come in for worse since the Lownie book, and indeed before but more sporadically.

Absolutely no-one on here’s ignoring it. I’m as agog for the next bit of scandal about AMW as anyone.

But if you want to believe that, you do you!

I don't think Meghan Markle gets more actual hate than AMW but she gets much more social media traffic and gossip aimed at her.

To many people AMW was just an ageing, pompous man, part of a stuffy family who only seem to be important because of tradition. He won't have been on many people's radar until the Maitliss interview, the RF of his generation haven't traditonally interacted individually with the media and public - Diana was perhaps the first.

MM and Harry, on the other hand, a generation younger, were engaging the media and publicising themselves like celebrities from the start - her background was very much self-promotion and social media. That alone ensures far more people active on social media voicing opinions of them. Social media and the tabloids are very polarising so plenty of people want to pile on negatively, especially on her because women are always the biggest gossip targets. H&M do have their defenders, though. I don't see people leaping to defend AMW.

There's been more for people to say / speculate about MM / H&M because they put so much personal content out into the media for years, but with AMW it's concentrated on his nonce-adjacency and his and SF's grifting, only now really impacting. If you took a poll of Brits to see whose actions they were most disgusted by, though, I think it would definitely be AMW.

That doesn't mean H&M haven't offended many Brits with their actions: "the British head-of-state family are shit, the whole place is shit, we have to get out of there but we intend to retain our privileged position in the head-of-state family, we want to be supported financially by them / the British as we produce whiny media content about how shit they are".

All the vaguely-royalist-by-default people whose Nans loved the old Queen are now having a think about the whole royal circus and both AMW / SF and H&M will, in their different ways, be tipping people into asking: "Do we want these rude, entitled people to represent us and pay them for the privilege?"

And perhaps posters demanding engagement about the Piss-Artist Formerly Known As Prince might think about how the post-RF trajectories of Sarah Ferguson and Meghan Markle are remarkably similar. From Oprah, to children's books to QVC style sales, all using their Duchess titles for USP. When we can see how Sarah abused her position, left unchecked for many years, why can't they see how stupid it would be to ignore Meghan's similar behaviour?

I find it strange how Sarah was able to monetize her title for three decades and get very little flack for it on social media and on here, yet the moment Meghan even looked like doing the same she experienced enormous opposition to it, and intense criticism.

And now we find we are being warned by posters about both women trading on their titles because the hypocrisy of criticizing Meghan while leaving Sarah to get on with it has become undeniable.

Are you being deliberately obtuse? Ferguson has been at it for over 30 years. She started in a similar manner to Meghan now, all fairly tacky but seemingly harmless, until it wasn't. There's good reason to nip this crap in the bud now by ensuring royal titles are not associated with it. And Lownie has said this himself, if you bothered, as I have, to not only read the book but to listen to what he's been saying for the past 3 years.

He said it in an interview and he also mentioned that he’d been passed some information from a reliable source in Thailand, why are you worried?
im sure he will be fair and only report reliable sources.🤷‍♀️
