I’m not sure what to think tbh. On one hand they must be so so mortified; on the other they enjoy all the perks of Royalty and their position in the RF despite their revolting father.

How do you see it?

It’s interesting reading the comments on this and the other Andrew thread. It’s made me think that perhaps Andrew doesn’t see himself as guilty because he’s convinced he had consensual sex with someone who seemed willing. In his mind, that means he did nothing wrong. But that’s the core issue. Even if he believed it was consensual and she was eager and enthusiastic, having sex with a victim of trafficking is still rape and a crime. Admitting it would mean admitting guilt, so he can’t, because in his eyes it was a consensual encounter and he’s done nothing wrong.

It’s intriguing to wonder what he would do if offered a plea deal. If there were no legal consequences against him in exchange for admitting he had sex, explaining that he believed it was consensual, and providing evidence or testimony about others involved.

I don't think they should be working royals but they aren't anyway. I think the whole system is a bit ridiculous.

I'm more interested in the other powerful men who Epstein provided services to though. Not their children.

We'd have to have a President for the Royal meet and greet stuff, they'd cost a lot, and we'd lose a fortune in tourism revenues and VAT on Royal memorabilia sales.

On balance Charlie and particularly William and Kate, seem a much better bet.

I do think that Andrew is irredeemably stupid and venal. Apparently he left the Newsnight interview with Emily Maitlis feeling that he'd done a really good job and was shocked at the backlash!

Whatever Beatrice and Eugenie have to put up with it's nothing compared to the harrowing life that Virginia endured.
I suspect the whole York family are dreading the release of her book tomorrow and their parents deserve everything that's coming their way

They can’t fail to know what he did and what that makes him, any more than he can deny it himself. A 14-year old girl accused Epstein of sexual molestation at his Florida home and subsequent investigations uncovered years of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of dozens of underage girls. Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of assisting him and of taking part in the abuse. Andrew fabricated a tissue of lies for the Maitliss interview, aided and abetted by Beatrice. Subsequent emails support the fact that he had sex with these girls - they may not have been underage at the time, so maybe not paedophilia, but certainly rape as they were trafficked and not capable of consent.

So grounded and decent to me, means disowning their father if they don’t want to be seen as supporting his actions. Attending the party thrown to celebrate his release from prison and inviting him to their birthday celebrations doesn’t exactly say that does it ?

The Queen was also his protector. He could do no wrong in her eyes. She continued to protect him even after the allegations became public.

It’s more than disgusting. It may not be paedophilia, but it’s certainly rape. Or were you not aware that victims of sex trafficking are not capable of giving consent ?
