What about Beatrice & Eugenie?

I’m not sure what to think tbh. On one hand they must be so so mortified; on the other they enjoy all the perks of Royalty and their position in the RF despite their revolting father.

How do you see it?

Presumably they will never be working royals now. Even if they’ve not benefited from their parents’ immorality/amorality, the waft of scandal will always accompany them now.

OnlyOnAFriday · 19/10/2025 23:29

They will increasingly be non entities. They don’t do any official RF stuff I don’t think. Granny isn’t the Queen anymore, just their uncle as King, soon it’ll be their cousin. So getting naturally further removed.

I guess they’ll be there for the big stuff, weddings, funerals, etc which is right as it’s their family. But they’re not funded by the tax payer so I’m not fussed. I don’t know that they have many perks to be honest. Their vile father is not their fault.

Tubestrike · 19/10/2025 23:31

I'm torn too. Didn't one of them encourage Andrew to do the Maitlis interview and also accepted money for their mother's birthday , their judgement seems massively off .

VivienneDelacroix · 19/10/2025 23:32

They've had a pretty good run of it and a wonderful leg-up in life. Maybe they'll decide now they're middle-aged that is time to stand on their own feet. The Philips seem to have done well for themselves and live slightly more in the real world than the rest of them.

ChilliMochaCoco · 19/10/2025 23:37

They do a lot of charity work and are very understated so it would be sad if they felt they had to give that up

Mondaytuesdayhappydays · 19/10/2025 23:38

On the council estates /areas of poor socio economic status where I work as a Social Worker they would probably have their houses spray painted or be vilified in the street due to their dads behaviour and be ostracised by the local community by association.
That won’t happen to them I imagine.
I expect they will be fairly well cushioned from that and I also suspect that in their circles the whole affair may be down played with the emphasis more on the consequences for father dear rather than his/ Epsteins victims as ‘par for the course - back in those days’

OnlyOnAFriday · 19/10/2025 23:41

I think they’ve both married well so won’t have financial worries.

Thatstheheatingon · 20/10/2025 00:05

Women aren't to blame for what their fathers do

AnyOtherBrightIdeas · 20/10/2025 00:09

Who gives a shiny shit? Not me. I’m much more worried about people with far fewer resources and less social capital.

Of course women aren’t respond for sins of the father or any family member for that matter
BUT- they are, and have hither too, sticking by him - whereas most of us would distance ourselves from a filthy sex offender /paedophile family member, denounce go no contact etc

My point about the communities I work in was that that loyalty would bring consequences or stigma that they - wrongly or rightly - won’t have to suffer

A lot of people do stick by paedophile or abusive family members. I’m not defending them but it’s more common than we’d like to think.

justinhawkinsnavalfluff · 20/10/2025 00:44

I mean there Dad did something bad let's punish them....🤔

LBFseBrom · 20/10/2025 00:47

Of course it must be hard to have your parents vilified by the media (and oh what a field day the media is having), but they are grown women, married with children. They'll be fine, they are popular in the family and also have their own circles.

80smonster · 20/10/2025 01:32

Off with their heads. as the French would say.

OswaldCobblepot · 20/10/2025 01:41

They're not innocent victims. The Lownie book provides various examples of their grubbiness.

That do stand on their own 2 feet. They both have jobs, they aren’t funded by the royal family or tax payer. Maybe they are funded a bit from their parents, I don’t know.

It was reported that one of them received a large sum of money that was explained away as a birthday present...several months before the person's birthday.

And now, it was reported that their mother took them to Epstein's celebration party when he was freed from jail...a very odd thing for Fergie to do to bring her young daughters to a party celebrating a man who went to jail over abusing young girls. Moreover, Epstein was a guest at one of their milestone birthdays, so they have been a part of these circles for a long time.

IMHO, it is too soon to tell the extent to which the daughters were involved as news is coming out daily. I think they should continue to be excluded from being working royals and furthermore should be dropped from Ascot/Garden parties until the truth is out. Edwards kids can help make up the numbers if needed as can the Snowdons/Chattos.

This is awful.

Friendlygingercat · 20/10/2025 02:51

I dont think any of this is going to make a differenece to their rarified social lives. Both are married to rich men and have their own children and circle of friends. That will naturally distance them from their parents.

Did most of the money go to them or only a small cut? I seem to remember reading a lot of it went to their parent but I could be wrong.

DarkAngel23 · 20/10/2025 03:23

They’re similar ages to me and I’ve tended to feel a bit sorry for them previously. Although now we know that they met Epstein after his release from jail I’m a bit Confused at their judgement. They would have been in their early 20’s at the time so not young kids with no agency. I do think their parents behaviour has probably skewed their perspective a bit but attending a party for a convicted paedophile?

Yes, plenty of people do stand by sex offenders in their family but they are always going to be in the public eye to some degree where rightly or wrongly they will be held to a higher standard.

Shetlands · 20/10/2025 03:36

Of course they must be upset about their parents (yet again) but none of the non-working royals should have the style Prince or Princess. It's 2025 and we're not living in a fairy tale.

Princess Anne's children have actually had a better life being plain Peter and Zara. Prince Edward's children don't use their Prince/Princess style and they don't appear to be suffering.

Beatrice and Eugenie have very privileged lives due to their wealth and family connections. They'll survive not being princesses.

elprup · 20/10/2025 03:39

Epstein wasn’t their family.

This type of behavior is sickening, and the vandals carrying out this so called retribution are often no better than they should be!
