So much manipulation going on behind the scenes.

Portakalkedi · 12/10/2025 21:19

In Lancashire we'd say this pair both have faces that would stand clogging. No shame whatsoever, quite amazing really that some can be so utterly unembarrassed at crap like this.

Backgrid dial-a-pap photos of both H&M in the DM from last night. On separate engagements, M having dinner with Serena William’s WME sports agent, Jill Smolett and him doing something else in Manhattan. So sick of their hypocrisy over press intrusion, when Backgrid are there by appointment.

It's laughable, isn't it? They're addicted to publicity.

Could the South Park creators have known just how right they got it, when they predicted the Worldwide Privacy Tour?!

The Vintage Read has a contact who has told her that Operation Thaw is being rolled out to allow Harry to do events in the UK in the run up to Invictus. Yvette Cooper is apparently one of the main drivers of this, which is why Harry was able to go to Ukraine at the same time as her a few weeks ago.

You can perhaps see how this might benefit Labour. Labour run Birmingham council has presided over a complete mess. There are council elections in Birmingham in May 2026. Harry usually does a “1 year to go” series of events for Invictus, and Spring 2026, 1 year before the Birmingham games, would coincide with the run up to council elections. Those elections are going to be a mid term indictment on the Labour government - unless Labour can turn things around and get the public on side public. The electorate of Birmingham is ethically diverse and may well have many voters sympathetic to Meghan and Harry and their racism claims. Labour bringing H&M back might be a vote winner for them.

Yvette Cooper is also married to Ed Balls, Piers Morgan’s replacement on GMB, and it’s pretty clear that H&M have a hotline to the head of ITV and Chris Ship, ITN’s royal editor. I wonder if some sort of back channelling is going on.

What a load of codswallop!! VR losing the plot here …..

Why on earth would the RF want Harry back other than reconnecting as a family ?
He cannot be trusted and there is no way Meghan would be welcomed.

Oh my lord. The very thought of Yvette Cooper being a Harry fan … this is psychedelic tree-sap licking territory.

AutumnedCrow · 13/10/2025 00:00

Also when Harry brings the very expensive Invictus Games to a bankrupt Birmingham, he brings the headache of the Israeli IDF team with him as competitors to the ‘ethnically diverse city’.

I’m not sure the former IDF soldiers injured in Gaza will necessarily receive the relatively muted response they did in Whistler. It’s going to need some very expensive security and policing. Just look at the current Eurovision controversy. The Norway-Israel match had a ‘no fly’ zone imposed over the area.

The story of Israel’s acceptance into ‘the Invictus family’ and how that process was funded is also, shall we say, interesting.

Yvette Cooper was one of 72 MPs who signed a letter condemning the press’s treatment of H&M in 2019.

There’s been a lot of water under the bridge since then.

But maybe Yvette Cooper really is that misguided.

MrsLeonFarrell · 13/10/2025 07:38

I'm not convinced by the Eden article, it seems like pot stirring. I can't see a government that is facing the problems this one is thinking that Harry and Meghan of all people would increase their popularity and get them votes. I'm sure Harry has written, Charles wrote quite a lot of Prince of Wales, but I don't recall even Charles had much influence, far less will the 5 th in line to the throne. There is simply too much important stuff going on for anyone to do more than smile and nod at Harry's latest tantrum.

It isn't complicated for Harry to bring his family here, except in his paranoid mind. He has wanted IPP status ever since someone told them to remove that assumption from their original statement on Sussex Royal. I don't believe though that it is something they can be awarded because of the international nature of the rules governing it. They simply don't qualify as diplomatically important. His continuing campaign is about finances and status.

I can well believe that Charles and the courtiers want a solution to the never ending drama but I can't see Charles, or the men in grey suits, pushing to anything that William doesn't agree with or which undermines William and Catherine. The grey suits are focused on the survival of the monarchy and it's stupid to undermine your most popular members. Plus William and Charles are obviously getting on well these days.

Indianrollerbird · 13/10/2025 07:42

Maybe - actually highly likely - she’s a republican like a lot of Labour MPs. Having Harry back to undermine William will work rather well for the republican cause. Especially if the latter is deemed to be not supporting veterans because he won’t attend Invictus. I think we’ve seen enough over the last few years to know how the media are going to spin this. Invictus is the one project for which Harry gets hugely positive msm press, despite all shenanigans that the online world talks about (mostly Meghan related).

Interesting theory. However, she clearly loved being royal, still does, and loves the titles and of course her children have them. Perhaps for her it's about status and money making opportunities, rather than public service though. She's very ignorant about the whole issue, culture and practise, so I suspect it's whatever works in her favour.

Yes that is no doubt what the PP meant. “Yvette Cooper signed a letter condemning the press” is synonymous with “I agree with how the press treated Meghan”. Those two sentences mean exactly the same thing 🤪🫠

And yet Harry was in Ukraine apparently with Yvette Cooper and with the permission of the UK Government. And whatever we might think of Harry & Meghan, particularly about their attitude towards the RF, there are clearly people out there who support them precisely because of that attitude - we’ve all seen the H&M loving republicans on these threads fall over themselves to defend them. Don’t you think an anti monarchy type MP would fall into this sort of category? Seeing H&M as broadly sympathetic because they see the RF as inherently evil? So they will back the former to undermine the latter?

In addition, H&M’s political agenda in favour of online censorship is right up the Labour Party’s alley. There’s a Labour think tank that has used research on this area supplied to them by Archewell. Whoever controls the internet and what can and cannot be said online will be controlling the information feed and ultimately the power.

LaMarschallin · 13/10/2025 08:24

I think it's a lot easier to put your name to a letter with a group of other people when your party aren't in power than to be named as the particular person who has been contacted and will have some responsibility for a decision.
