The Mail has footage of William and it's great. If he had a sign his distain couldn't be clearer.

I suspect Charles is walking a very difficult path with Andrew. Anyone with an ounce of humility would realise that they have screwed up and need to keep a low profile. Andrew seems to have no humility whatsoever. Unless we want a modern day version of Queen Charlotte trying to break into George's Coronation i think it would be difficult to bar Andrew effectively from family events. I also suspect Charles doesn't want another Spare writing a salacious book.

I'd love Andrew to be banned from being on camera but I don't think it is possible whilst keeping him in family events that are both private and played out in front of the camera like this and Christmas.

I wonder also whether some of the leeway is given out of compassion for his children? Having someone like Andrew in a family is really really hard to navigate well, and the public nature of their family makes it trickier.

I don't think that his family should ban him from family occasions. (I don't really agree with the 'head' of the family telling others what they can and cant do. What gives one person the right to lord it over other members of the family.) If the comments about William's cutting behavior towards his uncle is correct may be the best we can hope for. A public snub.

I do think Andrew should do the decent thing and try to blend into the back ground rather than trying to be front and center. But he isn't exactly known for doing the decent thing.

Yes if Andrew had any decency, which we know he hasn’t, he would think to himself I will sit at the back so as not to embarrass anyone and I’ll leave quietly by another entrance to avoid being photographed with the senior members of the family. But no him and his wife rock up like the ugly sisters from Cinderella, guffawing and gurning away. Vile the pair of them.

Well, I think he should be banned from any family event that might put him in the papers. I think the RF needs to be seen to be taking this very seriously.

I think he should be discreet but the words discreet and Andrew/Sarah don't go together

Presumably, were they to see any of the You Tube clips of yesterday’s events, the girls and young women allegedly exploited by Prince Andrew and Epstein could very well feel hurt and confused that one of the alleged perpetrators is allowed to be mingling at the “highest” levels of British society.

Yes. The RF could easily be tougher with him. There are loads of photos if him with his brothers and sister, socialising, riding around etc. He is clearly still very much in the Royal fold. The King could easily say' if you come to family occasions, stay in the background and tell your ex wife to do the same or both of you are out. As for the daughters, it looks like they are also schmoozing some ME dictators, so who knows what they are up to on their parents behalf? Shady people know the Yorks are not only dim and avaricious but in the bosom of the RF every time there is a public picture of them at a family event. That's why the spies always make a beeline for Andrew. Maybe the Royals should be more worried about foreign bad actors cosying up to Andrew than they apparently are about Netflix gossip. They are the family of the Head of State after all. They have a responsibility to us not just their own reputation.

I agree with you on this one @jumpingthehighjump . They both behaved appallingly at the funeral and if I had been the DOK I would have been furious ( although the poor soul looked bereft). William didn’t hide his disdain so if Charles doesn’t deal with the Andrew situation, he will !

Just to add... it's very convenient that Epstein is dead and him or his spokespeople cannot dispute her handy excuse of JE threatening to sue her for defamation. I doubt that very much given he'd already been imprisoned for sex trafficking of a minor!
