I think he's going cap in hand to ask for money. I really hope he's not got the nerve to ask to come back!

I hope Charles recorded the conversation so he can prove what was said when Harry tries to use it against the royals later.

William has behaved impeccably? Didn’t he punch him in the face?

Probably one of the most relatable things he's done if true. Harry has a very punchable face and manner

You find people who punch others in the face relatable?

TheAutumnalCrow · 11/09/2025 06:28

Harry hit Taylor Hawkins in the face. That was vile. He also hit one of his personal protection officers in the face too, he said himself.

And possibly Andrew - though he denies that one.

Strange, violent man from a strange family is my overall impression though.

It’s all disgusting. I don’t find people hitting others relatable at all. I’m surprised that a poster would describe it as relatable, whether it’s William, Harry or anyone else.

Hopefully, Harry will want to spend his birthday with his wife and children. I'm sure there's a balloon arch, some homemade bath salts wrapped in a scarf and a Victoria sponge with flower sprinkles waiting for him in Montecito.

Sounds nice. Much nicer than all the pomp and circumstance of royal life.

Tourist29 · 11/09/2025 07:18

“Sounds nice… nicer than the pomp”. And yet they keep and use the titles even in America…

So what? It's their titles?

So does Sarah Ferguson endlessly, divorced for 30 years from an outcast member of the royal family. At least Harry and Meghan are together. Up to them.
So that criticism really does not stack up

Looked down at Megan as a actress ? That's Kate who came from a family of self employment party business. Megan has been out to cause trouble from day one!

The POW has an even more humble background than the above when you go back a few generations.

Yes her dm grew up in Southall and I believe her great grandfather was a miner. It’s a very similar background to mine, although my dps grew up in the east end of Glasgow, not Southall. I remember on K and W’s wedding day, my dm said W was the one marrying into the good family, not the other way round!

SF hasn't, to my knowledge, talked about how oppressive royal family life was to her and made public statements about how great it is to be 'linked not ranked', though. It is really odd that someone who'd said that should then continue to use a title that shows them to be ranked above others. That's the hypocrisy.

wiminny · 10/09/2025 19:26

William is the prick. I don't care what went before, life is short and blood is thicker than water. All W will have is Anne, Eddie and Andy really until his kids grow up. So the future King, not the current one is the person to focus on now.

I am glad father and son met. Hope things have thawed a bit between them. Camilla is the bogey here though.

What a mad dysfunctional lot they all are in that gilded cage. At least H got out, and despite his big mouth has a lot of integrity for leaving the madhouse IMO. The rest of them continue to be well.... a bit odd to say the least of it.

H didn't want to leave the mad house. He wanted to remain half in it with all the perks.

The media did not have any knowledge of virginity lost in a field behind the pub, Elizabeth Arden cream rubbed on one's frostbitten penis whilst thinking about one's mother, dog bowls and broken necklaces, fantasies about gunning one's father to death, lipgloss unshared, seals being sung to or any number of other "revelations" in Spare. The irony of Harry's bleating about the press is that he revealed far more private information in his book about himself and his wife and family than the media could ever hope to know or indeed print (the lawyers would likely have prevented all of the above).

In a liberal democracy, the unelected, constitutional head of state should in no way be able to prevent the free speech of citizens in the UK and abroad or prevent the free press writing critical articles. Be careful what utterly horrifying consequences you wish for.

William issued a statement in 2016 backing up Harry's statement about Meghan and the press.

MrsLeonFarrell · 11/09/2025 08:23

In their engagement interview both Harry and Meghan said how welcoming the family had been, Harry even said they were the family Meghan had never had.

In his book he claims they were unhelpful and unwelcoming.

It's hard to know how any family works from the outside, it's even harder when one side keep changing their stories and the other never complain or explain.

The only clear things that have emerged are that Harry is not the person palace PR presented him as and that he is an unreliable narrator of his own life.

MrsLeonFarrell · 11/09/2025 08:25

I'm not sure why William is being called invisible upthread. If you follow his Instagram, and that of the King, it is clear that many engagements get little publicity. We can't judge their workload by what's in the press.

Yesterday, for example, William was in Wales highlighting the work of an amazing charity, on world suicide awareness day. I'm not saying he does a much as the King or Anne but he does more than the stuff in the papers.

Didn't Meghan claim, post Spare, that the BBC told them what they had to say in the engagement interview or some such? Mishal Hussein, the interviewer, issued a "recollections may vary" type statement. They can't keep a story straight at all. They say whatever gives them currency - and zero personal responsibility - in the moment, be it living their best life or victimhood.

It's easier to criticise William - rather than our national broadcaster covering the future head of state highlighting an important charity, they ignored it altogether and positioned Harry's visit as the first item on the news. There's actually very little royal coverage on the BBC post QEII's death, but Harry always seems to make it into their headlines. Perhaps that Children in Need donation has bought him some positive coverage.

prelovedusername · 11/09/2025 08:53

The BBC is another institution whose public image is very different from its inner workings. It’s dining out on its former reputation but the world has moved on and the gravitas just isn’t there any more. As in politics, the grandees are all gone and what’s left is weightless and inconsequential. Not to say there aren’t still fine journalists about, but they don’t run the show.

Itstwelveoclocksomewhere · 10/09/2025 21:25

What is your issue with being a 40+ actress?
Do you think she's too old or what exactly are you saying?

I think if you are C list, not super successful actress and 40+ in Hollywood, you will struggle.
I think it is appalling the way aging actresses get dropped in Hollywood, but that is the way that it is. Without the RF she would probably have sunk without trace by now. Her acting was about adequate for a cable show.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/09/2025 09:00

I agree @MinnieCauldwell . Isn’t it the case that her stint in Suits was ending anyway ? And she had nothing else lined up ?

Yes, that is why she came to the UK, apparently she tried out for Made in Chelsea.

Yes she has. She wrote a book about how awful it all was plus an Oprah interview so you are incorrect there

She also lives in a massive house courtesy of her ex husband and has had countless debts paid off through hercassiciation with him. She's not going to bite the hand that feeds her. And yes, her Oprah interview said more or less what Meghan said ( without the racism obvs)

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/09/2025 09:40

Nice to know the owner of this site thinks anyone who questions Megan is a nutter

I doubt they minded the advertiser-pleasing clicks though ...

SynysterGates · 11/09/2025 09:43

I would love it if they all made up, it would be so funny to see the outrage on here.

CathyorClaire · 11/09/2025 09:44

Harry got the shitty end of the stick all round and I’m not surprised he threw a strop.

An immensely privileged man sitting on enough dosh to live an immensely privileged quiet life without ever needing to lift a finger again got the shitty end of the stick?

Well, I never.
