It’s been 14 hours since the launch of the 2024 Rose. Nothing has sold out. This is despite it being designed again as a scarcity drop, so it can’t be argued she’s finally got her stock levels right.

  • As ever stated the wine launch going ‘live’ at on the 5th August. Language designed to get you to rush and buy. Just like all this SM shopping you get now.
  • Meghan put out a message many hours ago, stating that they have so much more stock (sad clapback to stuff not shifting) but hurry and be quick because it’s selling fast!!! (It’s clearly not)
  • This launch however, has attracted very little press compared to previous drops

The scarcity gimmick is already tired and because she’s been absent from SM for 2 months…save for a few stock images/videos- she’s lost any momentum she had. She’s putting in bare minimum and her customer base feel it. She’s checked out.

There’s been talk of another series of WLM 3 and Meg getting a new NF contract, but I think that is just to fill the void until she can get WLM2 out. At which point, we will find out if there is any truth in any further deals.

The reason why I doubt WLM3, is that for continuity, you would need the same venue. But the home is now being used to to host weddings etc, it’s no longer a private rental but one open to the public to rent. There’s no way Meg would film in that location now. In addition she would need to have gotten the go ahead already for WLM3 and be filming right now to be able to stick to a schedule. The fact that it isn’t already confirmed, it’s giving the signal that WLM is over (in addition to knowing NF deal is done)

Now if WLM is over, I don’t think she has the draw to pull people to As ever. She doesn’t engage with her fan base enough, she does the bare minimum of SM posts, which she hasn’t even achieved the last few months. The Shopmy page is dead too. This is why the new wine launch has barely registered and hasn’t sold out 14 hours later. Yes, there will be more stock but it’s been designed for a sell out so there won’t be huge numbers.

As ever I think will be slowly wound down. There will be WLM2, with maybe another 18 months of drops. Then like everything else, it will be dropped quietly. Everyone is starting to get a bit bored by the half hearted, very beige effort she’s put into her ‘business’ and have tuned out.

She will have to launch yet another version of herself very soon. We’ve had actress, feminist, activist, producer, philanthropist….now female founder. God knows what’s next!

It's amazing how people can spin success into failure. Although, those who gravitate to these threads each and every day have a lot of practice creating fairy tales. Glad the Sussexes can continue to laugh in the face of their detractors, especially the most deluded ones 😙😚😘Harry and Meghan sign new multi-year Netflix deal 👏

But it’s only a deal that Netflix get first refusal over anything that the Sussexes produce. They may well refuse everything 🤷‍♀️. Netflix aren’t paying them anything unless they take up this option

So basically, if they serve up something juicy—fly-on-the-wall reality, family drama, royal secrets, or a divorce exclusive—Netflix is all in. But if it’s preachy or slow, like Pearl, Polo, or a feminist reimagining of Miss Havisham, it’s a hard pass.

Honestly, I don’t blame Netflix. The Harry & Meghan doc was interesting because they were spilling tea. Polo was dull, With Love, Meghan was cringe, and I can’t even remember the other project they did.

Netflix made the right call. They’re offering nothing of real substance—just cashing in on their royal connections.

Thats not the point they were making. This forum was habing a good old bitch when it was reported the deal was over, all the gleeful comments from many posters about how netflix didnt see any value in them blah blah blah....oh shit turns out netflix have signed then for another deal..

Oh dear some posters have lots of egg on their faces.
This is quite hilarious actually 😂

But it’s basically a worthless deal. So the mere fact that the deal “isn’t over” is not relevant, is it? It’s a bit pathetic to claim it as a “win”. Just because it’s called a “deal” doesn’t in any way mean it’s advantageous for the Sussexes. It’s a kind of no deal deal. It sounds like Netflix are just holding out for more scandal from the Sussexes, and are just stringing them along. Which is quite sad really

Good for them. Something is working clearly. I genuinely hope they succeed.

Thedom · 11/08/2025 21:01

They have been given a multi year (2 years?) parachute as a soft landing for everyones' face saving, its just more spin, not only for Harry and Meghan but for Ted Sarandos, who was ridiculed in the industry for the failure of the contract with Harry and Meghan.

Losing this contract must be a massive blow for them, another stake right into the heart of their PR game.

Will be interesting to see if they do manage to come up with anything interesting for the viewing public.

It’s not quite the same though, is it? 🤣🫣

Netflix still get first dibs, so if the Sussexes actually produce something worthwhile, they’re in luck. But if it’s more filler like Polo, As Ever, Heart of Invictus, Pearl, or a feminist reimagining of Miss Havisham, Netflix will probably pass.

Essentially, Netflix are saying: “Last deal, we gave you carte blanche, and apart from Harry & Meghan, you flopped. If you’ve got something juicy—say, a bombshell documentary throwing shade at your families or spilling royal secrets—we’re interested. Otherwise, the bar is high, and we’re not funding mediocrity.”

The new deal is smaller, worth less and far more flexible for Netflix, meaning they’re not tied to bankrolling every dud project. If the Sussexes can deliver genuinely engaging content, they’ll be fine. But judging by their track record, I wouldn’t put money on it—unless they decide to air more family drama and bitch about the royals. Thats always guaranteed to get them cash.

Yes - the onus will be on the Sussexes and I don’t know how good they are with onuses! 🤣

Blah blah blah of course you will find the negative after crowing how netflix wouldn't renew a deal...well they have regardless of its meaning.

Im not childish to say this is a win. I just find it bloody hilarious how posters like you will be gleefully tearing the down when the headlines were there is no more deal...and now there is...lol still trying to tear them down...

Thedom · 11/08/2025 21:07

It's basically like this, if you lost your job and your contract was terminated, but the company said they would offer you ad-hoc freelance work.

You still lost your job.

I’m very happy for you Spectre!

You are SO invested.

smilesy · 11/08/2025 21:11

FYI I have never personally “crowed” over any such thing. Personal attacks on posters that say things that you disagree with seem to be your specialty 🙄. I am only pointing out the fact that this is not a good deal for the Sussexes and is nowhere near on a par with their original deal. I appreciate that you struggle with facts, but I find them important. I would like the Sussexes to be able to make a
living by producing high quality output for Netflix. Then they can truly be free of the Royal Family that they seem to despise and they can move forward independently and stop whingeing 😊

CathyorClaire · 11/08/2025 21:18

Unless they can come up with what NF deems saleable content it effectively is.

garlicandsapphires · 11/08/2025 21:47

There are those who’d like to spin this as an unequivocal failure, but surely it’s better than no renewal at all?!

Not really.....the deal is there to keep OW etc paws off the next airing of dirty laundry. They are not going to hand that away. Also we have no idea what the 'first refusal' terms are - likely be rubbish financially for H&M but they would get exposure from the global reach of the streamer - so swings and roundabouts. I assume NF held the balance of power in this round of negs - whereas in 2020 with their star ascending H&M would likely have held all the cards.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 11/08/2025 21:57

And Meghan and Harry will only make money if they have a good old bitch about the Royal Family, that’s all they have, that’s why Netflix are keeping a hand in, no other reason.

Of course it is. But the Hollywood Reporter’s headline says that Netflix has “downgraded” the Sussexes’ deal and that seems like an accurate description.

I expect in the next few days we’ll see puff pieces telling us all how much money this is worth, just like the Sussexes did last time.

Spectre8 · 11/08/2025 22:03

Netflix themselves say this:

With Love, Meghan debuted in the Global Top 10 TV list and reached the Top 10 in 24 countries. The show had 5.3M views in the first half of 2025, making it Netflix’s most-watched culinary show since its release.

Sounds like a success to me

YourTruthorMine · 11/08/2025 22:06

How long before the Archie & Lilli show?

garlicandsapphires · 11/08/2025 21:47

It’s neither a full-on “we’re done with you” nor a glowing endorsement. It’s more like: “You made us money and got us views when you spilled the royal tea… so if you’ve got more of that, we’ll take it. But otherwise, unless your idea is genuinely exceptional, we’re passing. And we’re not bankrolling any more flops.”

They could still produce something worthwhile, and Netflix would happily pick it up—but they’ll have to work really hard for it. No Miss Havisham, no Pearl, no Polo. Either a truly exceptional piece of entertainment or another bitchfest airing family grievances. Netflix wants eyeballs—and gossip always sells!

Serenster · 11/08/2025 22:08

making it Netflix’s most-watched culinary show since its release

I think that’s called damning with faint praise… 😀

Mylovelygreendress · 11/08/2025 22:21

Pretty sure that Netflix are simply keeping their options open for the Divorce interview .
From what I have read , H and M won’t actually receive any payment - or perhaps a token amount- unless they produce something that Netflix wants .
No matter how they spin it , the “ deal” is meaningless.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/08/2025 22:23

I also think that Netflix will only be interested if Archie and Lili are included . Not just the backs of their heads !

That's the obvious next step. What else have they got to sell? They're pretty much out of Royal gossip and I think that's probably always been the plan.
