It’s been 14 hours since the launch of the 2024 Rose. Nothing has sold out. This is despite it being designed again as a scarcity drop, so it can’t be argued she’s finally got her stock levels right.

  • As ever stated the wine launch going ‘live’ at on the 5th August. Language designed to get you to rush and buy. Just like all this SM shopping you get now.
  • Meghan put out a message many hours ago, stating that they have so much more stock (sad clapback to stuff not shifting) but hurry and be quick because it’s selling fast!!! (It’s clearly not)
  • This launch however, has attracted very little press compared to previous drops

The scarcity gimmick is already tired and because she’s been absent from SM for 2 months…save for a few stock images/videos- she’s lost any momentum she had. She’s putting in bare minimum and her customer base feel it. She’s checked out.

There’s been talk of another series of WLM 3 and Meg getting a new NF contract, but I think that is just to fill the void until she can get WLM2 out. At which point, we will find out if there is any truth in any further deals.

The reason why I doubt WLM3, is that for continuity, you would need the same venue. But the home is now being used to to host weddings etc, it’s no longer a private rental but one open to the public to rent. There’s no way Meg would film in that location now. In addition she would need to have gotten the go ahead already for WLM3 and be filming right now to be able to stick to a schedule. The fact that it isn’t already confirmed, it’s giving the signal that WLM is over (in addition to knowing NF deal is done)

Now if WLM is over, I don’t think she has the draw to pull people to As ever. She doesn’t engage with her fan base enough, she does the bare minimum of SM posts, which she hasn’t even achieved the last few months. The Shopmy page is dead too. This is why the new wine launch has barely registered and hasn’t sold out 14 hours later. Yes, there will be more stock but it’s been designed for a sell out so there won’t be huge numbers.

As ever I think will be slowly wound down. There will be WLM2, with maybe another 18 months of drops. Then like everything else, it will be dropped quietly. Everyone is starting to get a bit bored by the half hearted, very beige effort she’s put into her ‘business’ and have tuned out.

She will have to launch yet another version of herself very soon. We’ve had actress, feminist, activist, producer, philanthropist….now female founder. God knows what’s next!

It's all a silly non event. Never was more like.

Criticism is hate ,
noticing and commenting is bullying,

what they really want is for everyone to say nothing but complimentary things and ignore all the unfortunate cock ups!

Indeed. There even used to be threads where only nice things about Harry and Meghan were allowed. Now that's what I call desperation.

That wine is going to end up in Big Lots 😂

On a tomola - the dusty old one that never gets opened and passed on around the school fetes.

Thedom · 09/08/2025 12:51

That's such a weird parameter too, 20 minutes ! what happened after 20 minutes, did the sale drop of a cliff edge? was that the initial flurry of her superfans?

Wouldn't you say, the first 24 hours of sales as a normal business parameter..

Or bought by Archewell to be donated to the tombola.

So basically, anyone daring to offer critique — rather than fawning and gushing over her every move — is “hating”? Got it. To everyone else, that’s called fair critique and discussion. She has a business, and people are naturally curious about how she is running it and whether it’s going to be successful.

No not at all. I wouldn’t fawn and gush over someone I didn’t know any more than I’d go out of my way to start a thread to pick them apart as a human and offer endless ‘psychoanalytical’ insights on why they do every last thing they do.

Creating a post on a forum, to speculate and revel in the downfall and hope for the misery of someone you don’t know, is weird behaviour. You’re defensive about it because you get enjoyment from it, I presume.

Being naturally curious would be sitting back and watching how it unfolds. Being nasty would be creating a thread on how it will go wrong/is going wrong and exchanging gleeful messages about it with other people that get pleasure from tearing down a literal stranger, that’s done them no personal harm whatsoever.

No one is “reveling” in Meghan’s situation — we’re simply discussing what’s actually going on. If Meghan doesn’t want fair criticism or discussion of her business and products, maybe she shouldn’t put herself in the public eye or keep inviting media attention.

Creating posts to talk about someone’s real-life successes or failures isn’t weird or cruel — it’s normal public discourse. If people can’t handle others pointing out personal or business failings, maybe staying away from public forums and the media is the better option.

It’s not about enjoyment; it’s about holding public figures accountable. Criticism is part of being in the spotlight, whether their fans like it or not.

Also, it would reflect much better on you to actually engage with the points being made rather than attacking the person for daring to criticize. Dodging the discussion and going after the poster only makes your debating and critical thinking skills look weak.

If you want to be taken seriously in any debate, responding to the substance rather than the messenger is key 🙂

Is it desperate aswell that someone recently started a thread about Kate and will and wanted it to be a nice thread...why are they immune from criticism for their bad decisions....

It may not have occurred to her. I didn't see the image like that at all but, having read others' comments, I can see why others might. This is why social media influencers need savvy people to advise them and avoid pitfalls.

You only have to have seen the film Jo Jo Rabbit to understand the distress such images can trigger.
(Not a criticism of those who didn't see it, but an illustration of how widespread the effect can be felt).

Why bring up Catherine in a Meghan thread? I thought you didn’t like dragging in people unrelated to the topic. Seems a bit obsessive, don’t you think? 😉

I'm no fan and no defender of megs but it's best to ignore her. I can't imagine knowing this much about her flagging business. Intrigued what WLM is: would like to meet? White lie management? Wild leggy mothers? Weight loss monthly?

BemusedAmerican · 09/08/2025 13:45

The American economy is slowing. People are becoming more cautious in spending. The wealthy are not likely to buy a three-pack of Meghan's wine when they can walk into a store and get better, cheaper wine. The middle and lower classes can't afford to spend $90 on wine plus shipping. Wine sales in general are dropping in the US. It was bad market research.

I have no idea what hackneyed means, sorry.

It’s pretty energy consuming to hate someone you don’t know, surely. What Meghan Markle does or doesn’t do has absolutely zero effect on your life. So why dedicate time worrying about it? Not liking someone is one thing, starting threads and obsessing over their every move is a bit more than that, isn’t it. It’s unhinged in all honesty.

Hate is your word, not mine. I haven’t the energy to hate Meghan. I criticise her for her terrible past behaviour and snigger at her because of her hilarious antics since moving to Montecito.

Is that allowed? The last time I looked I wasn’t living in North Korea.

If you haven’t got a dictionary you can look up hackneyed on Google.

I think this is very well put indeed.

OneCoralCat · 09/08/2025 16:47

I’m not fussed about being taken seriously by people who think the idea of fun is pulling apart a stranger. In my opinion, it is very weird and people who have fulfilling lives don’t do it. We’ll have to disagree on that. I don’t care to discuss the substance of what you’re saying, it’s the general idea I’m opposed to and I’m entitled to that opinion as much as you are to yours.

Can’t see many other threads on here discussing the business models of various companies, perhaps I’ve missed them.

I’m cringing for you.

It won’t be the first time it’s happened and it certainly won’t be the last. It’s a common theme throughout the posters posts.

There have been plenty of people on other threads who when asked why they comment endlessly about them hav openly said its because they find it entertaining....so no not everyone posting is here to just criticise.

And really how is it criticism if its about some linen clothes that are creased...duh of course linen will crease as you move about the day, sitting down etc. Funny though the other day there was a pic of Kate in a green suit and shock horror there was a crease or two in her trousers in one pic....yet not one single comment from those who think its perfectly okay to mock Meghan over creases in her clothes. Oh sorry criticise her over it.... 🙄 but mocking Meghan for every tiny thing is a sport for some on here
