Shakespeare wrote a sonnet about the two !!!
Upon the York’s fair daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie
From tempest born, by parents’ errant hand,
Two roses sprung amid the thorny brier;
Though oft the crowd hath mocked their noble stand,
Their spirits burn with soft, enduring fire.
In courts where cold ambition chills the bone,
They bear a warmth no crown could e’er bestow;
Not fashioned by the faults that time hath known,
But shaped through trials only true hearts know.
Though jests did fly, and harsh words sought to bind,
Their loyalty to kin refused to break;
Across the seas, through storm and swelling wind,
They stand by Harry — steadfast, for his sake.
So let the world with harsh discourse engage,
The York daughters write a gentler page.
