Netflix deal is over

  • Both decided a statement won’t be released “Publicly, there will not be a statement and of course, if things change dramatically, they’d be open to a one-off project down the line.”
  • Talk about Paramount plus

It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

I really hope Harry doesn’t do a documentary about Diana. That is scrapping the barrel and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It would be an all time low even for him.

And if he had any sense of decency🤣 he wouldn’t even contemplate such a project without the approval and even co-operation of his brother, which of course he would never get.

Profhilodisaster · 25/07/2025 10:59

Changing the subject, I've just seen this, honestly, how does he put up with this

Seriously, as someone who’s very familiar with the customs within the Muslim world I could cry for him in that situation for being so unknowing and looking so obviously awkward and out of place.

hepsitemiz · 25/07/2025 11:19

I could cry for the poor woman. She desperately did not want to be rude, but there is no way she would have wanted to be touched in any way - not even a handshake - by any man who is not in her immediate family. The situation was extremely uncomfortable for her.

Profhilodisaster · 25/07/2025 11:29

Surely Harry , having met many people from different cultures before should have known how to behave.

BasiliskStare · 25/07/2025 11:35

Re Harry being involved in a documentary about Diana. I agree with other posters in that 1. He does say himself he has few memories 2. It would be egregious to do this without W's agreement and 3. He won't be able to give an unbiased view. But - re @Puzzledandpissedoff 's comment " Clearly Harry hasn't the capability for ... well, anything really ... and while I suppose someone might bitee if there's money to be made, is there reallyy anyone left who's prepared to risk working with him?" I would not underestimate anyone who thought they could make a buck out of Harry or manipulate him to think he was doing the right thing. I suspect they would be pushing at an open door.

I’m not Muslim but I still would not want to be hugged and kissed by someone I’d never met before

It’s totally bonkers isn’t it? The RF don’t go around kissing members of the public so why did H decide to break the mould and kiss a veiled Muslim lady?! M thought she was so clever ignoring protocol and etiquette but it actually exists to avoid awkward situations!!

CatKings · 25/07/2025 12:00

the but he fails to realise is that it didn’t matter if he’s a bit thick when he was a royal. It’s the ultimate family business job for the thick son pushing pens about.
He has no wit or charm. He was clearly impressed by Ms meaningless word salads.

Yes, I think you're spot on. He was fine when he was directed by the Palace. He moaned, but it wasn't made public. Along comes a woman who blinds him with therapy talk and being kindred souls. All change

Handshakes for either sex aren’t as clear cut as the kissing.

She handled it way better than Harry did. She had grace and composure despite the situation she was in. Harry on the other hand looked completely out of his depth which is disgraceful considering his background, and the work we live in today where having even the most basic ideas about other cultures should be the norm for us.

Doesn’t that sadden you?

Honestly, I get no joy out of it whatsoever regardless of what he’s done. To be so bloody awkward and wrong footed as he was on that occasion is awful.

Poor lady, and how appallingly insensitive...but they're HUGGERS!

I agree with you. I hate the modern habit of hugging and kissing everyone you meet, even for the first time. I dread it - you don't need to be Muslim to find it unpleasant! I wish you could get an official badge which warned people you're not a hugger!

Weepixie · 25/07/2025 12:38

@CoffeeCantata you're spot on. It was all about them being Huggers but it looks as if Harry was still trying to get used to being one. 😆

If Harry is hoping for some sort of reconciliation with his family , he needs to forget about doing any programmes about Diana .
He ( and others) seem to forget that Diana was also William’s mother and I think Hell would freeze over before he agreed to a TV series.

I agree and if Harry did ask William and he said no, then H wouldn't be best pleased at a money making opportunity being vetoed , would complain that he was being victimised and they'd be back to square one.

'As Ever' all decsions come down to $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Will a reconciliation generate enough $$$$$? No? Then roll out the Diana doc and Spare 2 for the $$$$$$.

And yes PH is "As Ever' the useful idiot - and whoever backs the doc will want it as controversial as possible to gain traction. The useful idiot isnt bright enough to spot the nuaces and he will be done up like a kipper. Any backer/collaborator will be aiming for the fireworks / drama / offence / controversy of the OW interview, NF series and Spare. If PH is doing this alone he is walking into a trap. Even MM said that they werent 100% happy with the the final cut of the H&M docuseries and they were right as they were made to look like ridiculous fools. PH is playing with fire here and he isnt even bright enough to know it.

JSMill · 25/07/2025 15:03

Would a programme about Diana involving H actually attract that many viewers? Most royal fans dislike him. He has a very negative public image. I can’t imagine why someone producing a Diana documentary would think he would add anything positive to it.

Weepixie · 25/07/2025 12:03

Yes, I guess I cannot read the woman's mind so don't know if a handshake would have been too much for her, but in Harry's place, meeting a veiled Muslim woman for the first time, he should really be trained to err on the side of caution: Stand a little further away than Westerners are used to doing, keep the greeting strictly verbal, accompany it with a nod of your head or place your hand over your heart to show respect.

Profhilodisaster · 25/07/2025 15:07

Harry will be putty in the hands of anyone who strokes his ego. I know he had his PR woman but is she able to advise on business deals ?

HonoriaBulstrode · 25/07/2025 15:08

It was Mohamed al Fayed who was pushing the conspiracy theories at the time. He was known to be dodgy enough back then, his reputation is in the toilet now. It will do Harry no good at all to be even remotely associated with anything that came from that source.
