It’s been pretty obvious for a while. No talk about the Archewell productions arm, the film they were making etc.

How long can As ever last when they won’t have NF to back it up with WLM infomercials.

Here are my thoughts. I don't give a flying hoot about M's kitchen. I think that the house they have is so much better than anything she could have dreamt of before Harry she loves it. & I can see the style of the kitchen fits in with the faux Chateau. Great. If you were genuinely interested in cooking you may very well spend a bit to keep the worktops in good order. I once had a good quality copper pan and ended up giving it away - it was lovely but Oh the cleaning. But they can look good and they are good for some types of cooking. I suspect they don't have a huge amount of interest in updating because 1. H according to reports Nott Cott was like a frat house and 2. As above M has moved into The Area and has all the bells and whistles - so maybe the actual details aren't a priority.

Re the engagement ring - I have a suspicion only she wanted something a bit more impressive. I base this on a good friend of mine who had one which was made from Granny's diamond. My friend had it altered and her DH was fine with it and it does look more impressive. So - no problem if that is where M wants to spend her money .

I think they have spent to get a lifestyle which is where they want to be , & that's fine. But if (by virtue of eg Spotify / NF not renewing the initial big amounts - whatever those were) then they do need to get a proper income stream. I just hope this isn't H thinking he can fall back on KC. I doubt it. But it isn't the WRF's job to keep H in the style he is accustomed. & I hope KC realises this. As for H&M - it is utterly their choice to spend their own money as they will.

I seem to recall reading that Harry wanted Diana’s engagement ring but William claimed it as he got married first .
Meghan probably feels disappointed that Catherine has that ring . Another reason for her to dislike the POW .

As has been said many times before on MN, they have (or had) enough wealth to live very comfortably in a nice place in the US or Canada (I’m not sure either would want to go to a non-Anglophone country).

I hope they still have, but the problem with a quiet life is that, to Meghan, attention and adulation are the air she breathes - the last thing she wants is a ranch somewhere in the Rockies with no celeb neighbours, glamorous parties or photo opportunities. Harry, without his royal role, is a lost soul and appears to have no direction or personal interests to get him out of bed each day.

Before fans ask how I know this - obviously I don’t, but I strongly suspect it. I really hope they do have the financial and personal resources to make a less high-profile lifestyle work because that may be necessary. I can’t stand them but if they chose this path I’d be rooting for them - they have youngsters and frankly - is Hollywood or its environs the best place to bring up children? Look at Meghan….

i don’t want a total reconciliation with the RF for the RF’s sake, but I also think that while KC might slip H a tenner for, say, the kids’ education, he won’t (and most certainly shouldn’t) support their celebrity lifestyle or Meghan’s crazy wardrobe wishes.

We all know that the " second series" is already filmed. I imagine it will receive even less viewers now with its confirmation as a dud.

I don't know, but I strongly suspect that he's set up Trust Funds for Archie and Lilibet. Even just to protect them from the misjudged decisions made by their parents.

I hope he hasn't set up trust funds. Pay for schooling, yes, but those kids need to know they must forge their own careers otherwise they will end up as thorns in the side of William and George.

Always worth reminding ourselves that the 'repayment' turned out to be a weasel deal that left Harold with a saving of hundreds of thousands at the expense of Crown Estate profits which should have benefited the taxpayer.

Well, we don't know, but KC was still supporting H&M financially after they made their decision to be celebrities in the USA. Plus, these are grandchildren that have been kept from him, so maybe - noting what kind of people H&M are - he wants to provide for them. Just in case.

Very much Diana's ring, her choice, very much of its era. Personally I don't like it, but I could see why a big Diana fan might, possibly why it would be important to the boys. But I am not sure Meghan is into sentiment. Didn't she re-design the ring that Harry had designed for her to make it more to her taste. Not sure she would have been able to do that with Diana's ring.

Yes, I agree. I think she's a massive Diana fan, from the evidence in Spare, so I suspect she would have loved to wear the ring.

As for Meghan being "quiet", I only wonder how long it'll be before we're told she's having some sort of mental health crisis, brought on by how awful everyone else is being in not recognising her incredible talents

Someone on Twitter mentioned that M hadn't posted on Instagram for a while, one of her fans got arsey with them , telling her to leave her alone and she'd appear when she's good and ready.
Ironically, this was one of M's fans who took part in the hounding of Catherine when she was going through treatment.

It’s not just a ring. It’s absolutely iconic, instantly recognisable and probably priceless. If Jane Birkin’s old Birkin can be sold for 8.6 million euros, then there really is no limit on the value of that ring.

What a awful thing to say about the children that they will end up as thorns to them. You habe no idea how they will be, they coild be glad to have the freedom to forge their own careers. I didn’t realise that the engagement ring was remodelled, that’s quite sad. I’d only think of resetting mine if my finger got too fat, or at a milestone anniversary maybe.

Back to M’s ring, H was definitely pleased with himself about designing the ring but it really wasn’t nice. I think every woman watching could tell M didn’t like it. I can’t really criticise M for changing it. Tbh I think if you are expected to wear something every day for the rest of your life, you should like it and you should have a say in picking it.

Meghan didn't like it, so had it changed. I don't think that's a problem.

I think it's location, rather than the interior which means a lot to Meghan.

Meghan even said she picked the house for the Garden, they wanted to buy the home before they even stepped into the actual house.

The house sat on the market for years. Which in and of itself isn’t that unusual but it’s clearly because in comparison to what else was on offer in the area, it’s incredibly dated. Thats why they got it at the knockdown price of £11 million…it was in dire need of renovation.

The fact that someone who is selling HER lifestyle - but is living with the interior design decisions of a Russian oligarch, is weird.
You can like the rustic feel of the house and keep that feeling while bringing it up to date in 2025. You can see glimpses of the style (beige) with her sofa choices and in her office but those aren’t expensive choices. She hasnt properly renovated. That doesn’t happen in the celeb world. They fit out their homes to reflect their style and then, if it’s up to scratch ….then you get an AD cover. That’s what they all want. AD would go nowhere near this home.

I did ☺️. But then Kenya is a huge part of my families life going back generations, 2 of my children got married there and I can see William/anyone carrying an engagement ring around on them if the were planning a surprise proposal and waiting for exactly the right moment.
