And the fundamental reason why none of her projects have succeeded (including marrying a royal prince) is that they never seem to come from an authentic place. She has no genuine passions or interests. Sure - she word-salads about feminism, racism, turning up and doing good etc, but so much of what she’s said has turned out to be untrue; and then there’s the uncomfortable fact that she only seems interested in doing all this good when there’s a camera on her.

To make any long-term project work you need 2 things - real passion and commitment, and hard work over a long period of time.

No, it’s not what it seems. It’s the “first look” deal which is great for Netflix because they get first dibs at anything that H&M/team Sussex may come up with that Netflix may wish to take them up on.

QEII had her number from the very start. She had knowledge and experience from Wallis Simpson. She went absolutely above and beyond to show nothing but kindness to Markle, because she knew for a fact what could lay ahead. Netflix are just keeping them warm in case there is a divorce. Confessions of a Female Founder was a flop , WLM was a flop , Polo was a flop , I can't see them producing anything that Netflix would be interested in.

The copper pans are too clean. I have cooked daily on copper- bottomed steel pans for 20 years. The insides are sparkling clean but I don't bother to polish the bottoms since they are in a cabinet.

The advantage of all wood furniture is that it can be refinished. The majority of my furniture comes from the furniture that my parents bought in the 1950's. I stripped the wood and painted it. Meghan can easily give her kitchen a new look by painting the cabinets. Some colorful accessories that both useful and attractive. If my cabinets were wood, I'd paint them.

As I mentioned earlier, butcher block countertops need lots of upkeep.

Making great content requires empathy for others and being able to imagine other perspectives. Harry has spent his whole life in a weird bubble being told he is special without having to actually do anything special. Meghan has a very limited and reductive understanding of how narratives are perceived by others. Eg the letter written 'to tug at people's heartstrings.' Their potential audiences are not able to be manipulated by their trite content. They actually do not know how to be compelling or even engaging without the backdrop of the royal family.

I'm not much of a royal family person, and don't dislike Harry and Meghan more or less than the rest of them.

But she (and Harry) just don't seem to have anything interesting to say or offer. The world of TV and being a 'brand' or 'influencer' is so competitive now. You can't just half-arse it and hope your privilege will do the rest.

I wish they at least picked some kind of cause to champion so their influence went SOMEWHERE good. When Diana broke off from the royal family, she came into her own by trying to draw attention to causes like HIV/ AIDS sufferers and children affected by land mines. She at least used the privilege she was born into-then married into- to try and help others.

As it is, Christ knows what Harry and Meghan do all day beyond trying to make themselves more famous, making the rest of us cringe in the process.

Good points, @Wildegeese . They just seemed to have squandered every opportunity, every chance, every piece of goodwill. There was surely something positive they could have done.

They had Frogmore Cottage refurbed at VAST expense to the British taxpayer. Naturally frugal people don't do that.
They were then instructed to repay, but that's not what they expected to do in the beginning.

The one thing Netflix does have is the figures and projections for As Ever. If there was any substance in the often repeated soon to be a billion dollar company then the WLM figures would be irrelevant and the Netflix deal would be for selling not viewing figures.

I wonder at what point they will realise that they really need change their approach to things. They have been widely ridiculed, Harry for his court cases , their interviews, the Netflix flops , Meghan muscling in on Invictus , the faux royal tours, the disaster tourism . I'm pretty sure that it must be affecting Harry's mental health, not so sure about Meghan's as much, she seems a bit more thick skinned.
