I’m somewhat fascinated by the instagram following of Kate’s former stylist and personal assistant of 15 years.

Understandable to monitor fashion blogs like whatmeghanwore but what’s the interest in Heather Dorak or Daniel Martin?

She even followed Meghan and asever before hastily unfollowing - why hide now?

Perhaps part of her new luxury fashion consultancy is keeping tabs on in-laws friends and associates.

An idiotic one

It’s an interesting school of journalism that uncritically accepts anything by Meghan and Harry in relation to the Prince and Princess of Wales (that they were huge fans of Meghan from Suits) but at the same time utterly ignores things they have published about themselves (their desire for a progressive halting and half out royal rolr). One might call it cherry picking.

For journalist read YouTuber with subscribers in double figures.

Just catching up with this thread and of all the crazy posts this one is my absolute fave. Criticising someone’s English because it “leaves a lot to be desired for” is superb 👏👏

This comment was aimed at me! I don’t mind, but I feel it gives me permission to say something rather mean myself, so here goes:

After observing these threads for several years I have noticed that die-hard Sussex supporters are likely to have poor literacy skills, both in terms of writing and in reading comprehension. I feel that these two characteristics may be connected.

Unkind? Yes - sorry. Too much of a generalisation? Maybe, but I speak from experience.

There’s a regular whose posts would frankly have the Bletchley Park code breakers scratching their heads! 😂🤓

You don’t need “a degree in literacy”, whatever that is, to post here. But if you pick on another poster and try to criticise their English while displaying poor English yourself, you are going to look a bit of a tit and deserve to have the piss taken imo.

I think the poster is confusing a degree in literacy with a degree of literacy. Easily done, less so for a journalist, you would think.

Is that me your referring given your nasty comment about my mistake in a post earlier.

You know what, I just don't give a shit if I make a typo or several or a momentumental mistake og dome words turning into gobbleygook and I dont go back and proofread what I wrote cos most of time I see a comment and im typing a reply quickly before I have to get off the train, get on or off the bus, or whatever it is im doing to kill a bit of time, its not something I take seriously I want to make sure my writing is perfect.

If you think it incomprehensible to understand fine move on. But seriously I dont give a fuck if you read it or not or respond to it or not. Im not here to win a literacy competition.

If it makes you feel better and superior to put me down and say I have poor literacy go right ahead says more about you than it does about me.

You complain about Meghan being nasty yet here you are making nasty comments yourself not just about her but other posters too. Well I guess the saying takes on to know one rings bit true.

Well no, I haven’t. I think the Princess of Wales is doing a hard job well. She didn’t ask to be targeted by a jealous SIL and she’s handled it elegantly. I know nothing about her personally but she is an exemplary royal. That’s the extent of my interest.

Absolutely right, I did confuse you with someone else in thinking you were claiming to be a journalist so apologies for that. My point still stands though. If you want to engage in an online discussions, a degree of literacy helps, if only so that you can make yourself understood.

As long as posts are intelligible, I don’t think anyone cares. Not everyone can spell and everyone makes typos, so what. But it’s a bit rich to complain that people are mean, when they’re pointing out a mistake you made while attacking someone else’s standard of English in quite a snide and nasty way. Then to be so chippy and defensive with that “degree in literacy” comment when you just criticised someone else’s writing. Maybe don’t be a dick in the first place?

Well, what’s the point in joining a discussion if your posts are hard to read and impossible to understand? You can’t expect people to respond to you if they can’t read what you’ve written. We all make the odd typo, but I genuinely find your posts incomprehensible a lot of the time.

But I get the impression you are not interested in reasoned arguments- you just want to be rude to people, which is a shame because there’s a lot of humour and light-hearted stuff on the RF boards.

A lot of people on here have a strong sense of justice and don’t like to see bullies and liars triumph over their victims. That’s certainly my main motivation. It doesn’t matter to me whether Catherine would “piss on me if I were on fire”, as you elegantly put it; I admire her courage and stoicism in the face of the hate campaign against her and her serious illness.

I think you have a simplistic and crude view of the whole subject.
