So they are showing faces now, how long until they are including them in everything, showing them fully.
I feel like this is a bit desperate now. It was their last card to play, the children. They’re trying anything now for attention, what do they have left, showing private videos of them after all the criticism about the Wales children being on display.
One thing about them is they always surprise me.

Also from Lipstick Alley:

The term 'sugars' was used to label Kate defenders before Meghan arrived on the scene. Kate fans adopted the term and started calling Meghan fans sugars. It's not a new term on royal forums.

I mean, there are a huge number of explanations for the term "sugar". The obvious one being that someone is "sweet" on another person. If you think it's about slavery, then I suspect that's the way your mind works and you should take a look in the mirror at your own racism.

BunnyLake · 18/06/2025 11:33

JustNavy · 18/06/2025 10:38

Why? That is my understanding of the use of the term.

Why do you think the term is used for Meghan’s supporters?

Your understanding or your interpretation?

Being ‘pretty sure’ someone said it on Twitter and then persuading ChatGPT to back it up is not the most robust sourcing I’ve ever seen tbh 🤔

Words · 18/06/2025 11:38

My dear father , a navigator in ww2 used to say : never ever confuse seeming confidence with competence, or humility with weakness.

It is very profound and was meant to be. Lives depended on honest analysis of mistakes.

Markle is a very damaged woman, with zero self insight and those children will require lifelong therapy. Especially if they are unphotogenic.

Vespanest · 18/06/2025 11:38

The claim of racist origins appears to be after the use and adopted use of the word sugars. Even within those who aligned with the Sussex squad taking the meaning to be sweet instead of the salty brits. If only they'd use saccharine or bet still honey. I don't think there is much confusion of the ableist term of derangers.

What, that people like you look at people like me and jump to race every time? Nah. Go look in the mirror.

My original post was based on explanation given by black American posters. I asked ChatGPT for more context. If posters here choose to continue to use the term, not much I can do about it.

Ah.
I asked as non-weighted question as I could so as not to hint to chatGPT what I wanted.
As I said before, it tries to give the answer it thinks will make you go on using it more.
I bet if various posters here ask the question about the origin of "Sugars" in different ways, they'll get very different answers.
Why is the answer it gave you right and the - completely different - one it gave me wrong?

Agree. ChatGPT is not for finding facts, it is a tool. Why would you ask it for a definition of something? It is not an objective source, but is open to suggestion and bias. People even use it to write fiction 🤷‍♀️

I'm sure if it is looked at forensically, all roads will lead to Christopher Bouzy, Sarah Data and that merry band of arseholes pushing the slavery narrative.

New PR: So far we are headed for an "F" grade.

-Whataboutism with Charles (omitting Diana who was also friends with Saville.). Although neither Charles nor Diana stayed at Saville's house for an extended period with their two young children but hey...desperate times.

-And the old standby RACISM!

-Finally, the ostrich "head in sand" approach to Chrissy Teigen's cyberbullying and now godparent problems with Tyler Perry...I guess being a billionaire is not a character reference, but one can scam a private jet ride or two...

Nothing new for all that money from a global team across time zones?

The over/under is Christmas, but I don't know if you'll make it to Thanksgiving (November). But at least you can give thanks at the dinner table for leaving a "challenger" brand with the challenging clients.

JustNavy · 18/06/2025 11:46

If people are still comfortable using the term knowing the potential connotations that are out there, that’s a personal decision for them.

On the topic of the interview, I actually really liked the quote from Meghan ‘someone else’s urgency is not my urgency’

RandyRedHumpback · 18/06/2025 11:46

Christopher Bouzy, twitter, January 2022:

A lot of people including journalists have asked me why hate accounts refer to Black Meghan Markle supporters as Sugar(s). It's their way of calling them the n-word without getting caught.

As I said before this sounds like projection. Unfortunately for you not everyone hates Meghan.

Yikes, people are aware of this and still continue to use the term 🤯

My2cents1975 · 18/06/2025 11:52

Quite a cast of friends for H&M.

Chistopher Bouzy who trolls the royal family and happily appeared in the Netflix reality series.

Sarah Data who trolled the royal family. She admitted working at a social media company and "massaging" feeds to increase negativity about the royal family.

Tyler Perry who trolled the royal family...his condition for being godfather was proudly listed as not meeting the paternal half of the child's family.

Andrew and Sarah 2.0 indeed.

@JustNavy “I actually really liked the quote from Meghan ‘someone else’s urgency is not my urgency’” Never had a child needing the loo? Then someone else’s urgency is definitely my urgency! Also I hope she doesn’t get a job in the emergency services - you tell ‘em what’s what, Megs !

Do you know anything about him? Christopher Bouzy is not a man anyone should trust. He's retro-fitting a narrative, long after the term "sugar" was adopted by MM's own supporters (see @Vespanest's post above). It's good enough for me that if Bouzy claims anything, the opposite is probably the truth, knowing what I know about the way he operates. You've got your information from ChatGPT. Try doing your own research and applying some critical thinking next time.

Hoping you have even more uncomfort with the actions of Prince Harry

I’m afraid you and everyone else are wasting your time and well thought out arguments!
we are in a world where criticism of a privileged white prince is apparently racist too ! 🤷‍♀️

Context is everything isn’t it. I wonder how others would like every line they utter to be examined from every direction and against every situation in order to belittle them.

DipsyDee · 18/06/2025 12:01

I remember reading somewhere ‘sugar’ is apparently used as a slur by certain people because they think it’s only black people that support Meghan. Something to do with sugar plantations and black Americans. Seems pretty disgusting to use that term. I wonder how it feels to the black women who come on this board and see it.

and there we have it
