I don't understand why she's posted this. In what way is she hoping to enhance here brand/improve her image? It's so weird.

Most people celebrating a child's birthday might post a nice message saying something like 'happy birthday my wonderful daughter. We are so proud of you and everything you do'. Most people would not post a weird video of themselves flashing their legs, lifting their skirt up to their crotch, twerking their butt to the camera and making the birthday all about them! They also probably wouldn't want to post an intimate video which captures a private moment in a maternity unit, for the world to see.

But then again, most of us aren't narcissists!

Edited

I often put a post with me and dad waiting to go to my c section together with her photos on her birthday . You are picking on her because you don’t like her

MaturingCheeseball · 05/06/2025 10:20

What is wrong with dignity?

If they want to be royal, act in a dignified manner. If they want to be celebrities, twerk away, but leave the titles alone, leave the faux “royal” tours alone and fgs leave the British taxpayer alone.

How strange

oncimesmask · 05/06/2025 10:21

I hate conspiracy theorists and have no beef with Harry and Meghan but her bump doesn’t look genuine and being able to move that smoothly at 9 months pregnant doesn’t seem likely. I don’t think it’s real.

jeffgoldblum · 05/06/2025 10:24

I’m assuming the video is a recreation of the event and Harry will pop up later to inform us that Meghan never said it was the actual birth , it was the U.K. media that said that!

The birth was 3 days before 😂

Exactly! 👍, this was just a “spectacle “ for the masses!

Seriously you do wonder what the people who have shared a stage with her on serious forums think when they see something like this ? 😬

Oh yeah it's just all " fun" and " bantz" 🙄 The people at the LA Natural History Museum must be thinking " WTF - we are having her on here talking about female empowerment " 😬 because make no mistake about it ALL people will see when she appears there is her grinding, pulling her dress up and making those sex faces. This is female empowerment ?

..." but wait " say the supporters " she IS showing female empowerment as she has CHOSEN to let us see this. Yeah right. I suppose we should be grateful Harry wasn't doing the dirty dog move behind her 🤮

People are allowed to have a serious side and a fun side, and everything in between. Most people understand that. I don’t think she’s showing female empowerment or going against female empowerment. It’s just a dance. It’s not that deep as the younger generation would say.

It’s not the dance itself, don’t you get it? It’s the sharing of it with the world, why would you

a) think it’s appropriate to put that out to the globe?
b) not consider your future child’s privacy in this, particularly as you’ve been banging on about press intrusion for ever?

No, fine to remember it! Strange to post a pic of yourself and partner waiting to go to a c section, on your child's birthday. What did you want people to think when they saw the post? What was the aim of posting that? Why do you think people would want to see a picture of you and your child's dad going down for a c section, on your child's birthday?

I did say most of us aren't narcissists. Of course there will be other narcissists out there making their children's birthdays all about them, or over sharing intimate times etc...

MaturingCheeseball · 05/06/2025 10:33

It’s not just a dance. She’s grinding and pulling her dress up. And then showing as many millions as possible.

Precisely! This video does not shriek female empowerment to me.

They need to think deeper then as their whole reputation revolves around what you put out as an influencer. This kind of thing might resonate with a certain segment of the population but they're hardly going to be buying expensive packets of pancake mix. Marry your audience and your offerings.

AtIusvue · 05/06/2025 10:35

IdiottoGoa · 05/06/2025 09:41

They’re people primarily, the titles are meaningless to many of us. The only reason that many of us are interested is in the same way we would be interested in any other couple.

Likewise Catherine’s babies and cancer diagnosis. It’s happy / sad in the same way that it would be if it was any other random person.

Then if they’re primarily people- they don’t need to use their titles and reinforce the Aristocratic class system then do they??

You can’t have it both ways- twerk and expect people to call you ma’am.

Good point however today the issue of surrogacy is being discussed all over SM .
If they wanted to stop those rumours they are going the wrong way about it.

Of all the things to criticise them for, and there are MANY (IMHO) this is not the one.

MaturingCheeseball · 05/06/2025 10:41

I think the pancake mix is binned.

Clearly this content appeals to a certain demographic who like Instagrammers and appear to be happily without any cynicism (or boundaries judging by some posters on here…).

H&M must be gearing up for the reality life as their comms team have swivelled to pushing this type of content.

slinkiemalinkiey · 05/06/2025 10:42

You know she cocked it up with the first posting of just HER and Lili . She made up for it with adding the pic of Harry and Lili. Why did she not stop there ? It would have "worked " but now all the talk is about this .

it was already "discussed" heavily when Kate was pregnant for the first time. Haters can't even find original topics.

It’s the hypocrisy and desperation that underlines the twerking and their latest attempts
at relevancy people have an opinion on. It would be exactly the same if Kate “released” a video of herself twerking.

And here we have the haters comment. I do wish people would use the English language and use another word instead of being lazy about it especially as it’s not even true

Profhilodisaster · 05/06/2025 10:48

I would think, if she wants to knock the surrogate conspiracy on the head , then a serious interview, giving credible details (not Harry using the entonox or being discharged 2 hours after an epidural) of her pregnancy and birth might be taken a bit more seriously.

She can put what she chooses out. Her child was still in the womb. I have more of an issue with the other photos they put out of their children where you can actually see parts of their face, I don’t like any children being put on social media. Putting a video out doing a dance when you can’t see the child really isn’t an issue.

AtIusvue · 05/06/2025 10:58

They made a rod for their own back, with the way they surrounded the births in secrecy and outright lies. They also didn’t have 4 doctors sign and state they observed the birth, thats expected for a Royal birth.

That’s fine. But because of these surrogacy rumours, what she is now having to do to dispel the rumours….is put out a video of her grinding her ass in the delivery room. FFS, have a shred of dignity.

I don’t believe she’s wearing a bump. I think she has an extremely short, almost abnormally short torso (literally has no waist) and this had led to the bump being extremely high.

However, they brought this nonsense on themselves. If you chose to outright lie about the births of your kids and state it’s for privacy reasons….then post to the world, a video of her getting down and jiggling her butt before the birth. Then you reap what you sow.
