I personally think being mean, classist and racist to people you’re accusing of and criticising for being mean, classist and racist is hypocritical and defeats your message. Goes for both sides of this argument in my opinion.

I know many white middle aged women who love Meghan and many from all other colours and walks of life who don’t like her. There are ranges of opinion and reasons for those opinions, trying to reduce all pro and anti Meghan people into only two ‘types’ is flawed and misleading. Taking one aspect of a person’s point of view and misrepresenting or taking it out of context is also not the way to constructively express an opinion. One can dislike one thing she does or question one thing she posts without having it out for her.

I don’t love or hate Meghan, I started out liking and admiring her, now not so much, I don’t think she cares and I don’t wish her ill. But I do think if you post things on a public forum you have to expect and accept that people will have opinions and they will comment. As with any topic there are crazy extremists on both sides, and most people are somewhere in the middle. People who think she should never be criticised, and those who think she can’t do anything right are both the same in my opinion.

many famous people are only known because of who they married. In fact arguably more people would have know who Meghan was because she was an actor. Literally no one other than close family or friends would have ever heard of Kate or Sophie or that bloke Beatrice married.
