Still 'out of stock'?

Just had another look at the As Ever website, everything is still saying 'out of stock'. What kind of bullshit online shop is this?!
(I know, I know its always been a farce Grin)

Oh, no 😮! Don't tell me there's a shortage of UHP pancake mix. 😫

User867463 · 21/05/2025 20:04

The Chinese suppliers who make their packaging obviously got hit by the tariffs

Laserwho · 21/05/2025 20:39

I wonder if people have got their refunds yet when their purchase never arrived. Farce of a company.

MrsFinkelstein · 22/05/2025 10:00

I have no experience of this kind of retail and marketing, so I'd be really keen to know from those who do...

Is this normal? The length of time taken to restock what are fairly generic items? We're not talking artisanal hand crafted rare seasonal produce.

Maybe M&S are part of her supply chain lol

MrsLeonFarrell · 22/05/2025 17:32

I bought something through Instagram last week. It was out of stock due to demand but they emailed and gave me a shipping date for when they restocked.

The impression with this is that she isn't really serious about selling items, in which case what is the Female Founder thing all about? Surely it can't be viable to do tiny runs of fairly ordinary items, in excessive packaging, that sell out immediately?

Thedom · 22/05/2025 22:36

Daily Mail article about it today too, 'As Never' LOL

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-14738631/As-Never-Meghan-Markle-not-restocked-future.html

Some funny comments,
"she can call her brand Whenever'😁,
"Not forever." 😁

No demand : no supply, seems to be the main gist of the comments.

How can she be partnered with Netflix and still have a business that fails to get off the starting block. At this point even if there is a semblance of a restock, its just another hammering of her brand.

Spectre8 · 22/05/2025 22:49

What were you looking to buy?

INeedAnotherName · 23/05/2025 00:12

If she wasn't so famous you would start thinking about money laundering. Businesses that seem to run with no money coming in, hardly any stock, and yet give the impression of thriving.

foreverblowingbubbless · 23/05/2025 00:18

"If Ever" would be better!

If you haven’t forgotten about her website, then others won’t have either, so interest is still there.

Apparently anything.

MinnieCauldwell · 23/05/2025 08:08

Maybe it was only ever supposed to be a short one off run of the food products and the re stock will be the homeware to tie in with part 2 of Season One.

I think there was a similar rumour about her mum’s Care Home company. The website looks slightly odd to my eye, no staff listed, no phone number etc.

Agree some sort of tax / financial loop hole - Doria is listed as the CEO, CFF and CFO of "Loving Kindness Senior Care" - I thought if you had previously bankrupt a company you were unable to set up another?

Mymanyellow · 23/05/2025 12:18

I never quite grasped why any one would order pancake mix all the way from California when you can buy it in any shop in the land. Better still flour, eggs, milk bit of salt. Bonkers.

And wasn't Meghan claiming to advocate for the environment via Travalyst? Crazy that she would then get involved in selling over packaged items that can easily be sourced locally.

I think her first bankruptcy was credit cards? Maybe after a certain time it is discharged.

If so it's a bit odd. If the company is big enough to need those separate roles it would be a conflict of interest for the same person to fill them. But maybe it's a small organisation, and the titles are window dressing?

Spectre8 · 22/05/2025 22:49

I wasn't looking to buy anything, I was looking to see if her sparse number of products had been restocked, and they haven't.
Which is ridiculous.

Oh please.
What's the point of 'interest' if no bugger can buy anything?!

Well you are interested enough to be checking stock levels lol

Baital · 23/05/2025 22:26

Well, if the business is going to be successful it needs products for people to buy.

It's odd that Meghan's 'business' doesn't seem to be selling anything. Not even enough to capitalise on any initial interest.

Baital · 23/05/2025 22:27

Spectre8 · 23/05/2025 22:24

But surely the success of a business (I.e. a money making venture) isn't - in the end - 'interest', it's sales?

I think this is exactly the case. “Seasonal launches” I think they called it.

How much can that bring in? Surely there are core, all year round items as a base of income? Topped up by seasonal items?

Can seasonal items bring in a consistent income?
