Harry knocking on random doors in London

What a strange story! I’ve seen it being reported that Harry was wandering around a road in London, knocking on (at least 3) doors whilst looking for a friend 🤔🤣

How would you not know which house your friend lived at?

The Royal Lodge, where Andrew lives, is just outside the Windsor security cordon. That's why KCIII is pushing for Andrew to move to Frogmore Cottage, which is inside the cordon.

It's within the monitoring paid for by KC.
The main point is that the only people who get the kind of security that Harry wants are KC, QC and the Wales'.

I think actually it is probably stupidity. Ignorance should be curable with the application of enough fact; stupidity not so much so.

Or it's part of a deliberate script.

CurlewKate · 11/05/2025 17:13

That was in the article, wasn’t it? I hope I didn’t make it up!

Don’t know curlew! , I didn’t read it all , just took your word.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 11/05/2025 17:39

If we were all privy to all security measures, so would all terrorists, nutters, kidnappers and assassins be privy to those measures and learn how to avoid them.

Much better if we the general public don't get told all the details. Even by Harry, though I expect him to any time now.

HonoriaBulstrode · 11/05/2025 17:40

It's also worth noting, that the Sultan of Brunei was happy to get in the minibus at KC and Camilla's wedding blessing, so it was ok for him, but not Harry and Meghan at the Jubilee!

Weren't Heads of State/Government bused in to Westminster Abbey for the late Queen's funeral? (exept Biden)

I remember reading about it and one of the people involved in the arrangemements pointed out what a logistical nightmare it would have been if each one had been allowed to arrive and depart in his/her own motorcade. How long it would have taken and where you would put all those limos while the service was in progress (given that the troops and horses and vehicles in the funeral procession already had to be put somewhere).

MrsEmmelineLucas · 11/05/2025 17:42

Yes, you're right, @HonoriaBulstrode . So it seems to me very typical that H&M demanded - and were provided with - a private limousine and the others got the minibus.
They're so entitled!

Exactly. Why doesn't Harry realise this?

Not all of them disappeared!

I do realise that. 😏

To be fair to him, he hasn't yet blown his mouth about the actual security he is given, so he might still be aware it would be a bad idea to do so. But note that I say "yet": I can quite see why the royal family don't want to talk with him, he has the sort of loose lips that people were warned during the war sink ships and can't be trusted to use his discretion, because he doesn't seem to have one.

Quite. Can you imagine? What an awful situation.

Livingbeyondyourmemes · 11/05/2025 17:54

He gets the best of both worlds though. He can claim he's being discreet by not giving away security details, whilst claiming what he knows makes it clear he is in constant danger. He doesn't have to put his money where his mouth is. It's not unlike the racism claims. Insinuate, claim you are not naming names to protect them, sit back and lap up the fall out.

Thedom · 11/05/2025 18:32

In the BBC interview he actually did describe what he claimed to be his new security arrangements.

Prince Harry described his security arrangements as being "reduced to a phone number"

Thedom · 11/05/2025 17:44

Just a little titbit, due to my inability to name change ( part lazy, part Jeff love) I’m quite obvious, if I ever arrive on a thread and make a fairly nondescript comment and a flurry of posters arrive and attack… well 🤔😉

Yeah, heaven forfend that he has to phone RAVEC and explain his plans! How very dare they! Oiks!

*CurlewKate was right *The daily mail has him drinking in a nearby pub - an old haunt owned by a friend - then trying to find house of couple "friends" who live abroad and rent their old house out to someone else currently- and have for a while.

Seems odd all round - but now he happy with Meghan in night clubs with a new hat in papers so it's all old news.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 11/05/2025 20:25

I've no sympathy for him i just think the Met should give him armed protection whenever he is here just so his wife couldn't then go on Oprah and blame the UK for neglect or whatever

But again, how would it matter @Gloriia?
I very much doubt the RF care about anything Meghan's got to say, and while a few of her more manic fans would howl they're very much in the minority now

You're right about the ridiculous Diana conspiracy theories - we had much the same only last spring over Catherine - but they just make those spreading them look foolish, as their mass departure from MN perhaps showed

MrsEmmelineLucas · 11/05/2025 20:52

IdaGlossop · 11/05/2025 16:53

The judge did say that but that wasn't at the heart f the ruling. The case was about process. Harry said he had been treated unfairly by RAVEC. The Home Office disagreed. The Court of Appeal found in favour of the Home Office.

Yes, I know. Apologies if that didn't come across. I was trying to explain it in as precis term as possible.

No. I’m sure I recognise one due to language and posting style.

Gloriia · 11/05/2025 14:04

No I mean all the time. I don't get the bespoke bit. Whenever he is here he should get an armed Met officer with him imo. He's a loose cannon, he attracts attention. A pp said he gets it where necessary if there's a particular risk, surely he will always be at risk.

I don't want taxpayers wasted on him really but for our benefit I'd rather we did every time he sets foot here just in case.

He's sidled back for his uncle's funeral, sprung a surprise visit to one of the few apparently above-board charities he's now associated with and now taken delivery of a food order and rung several doorbells at random.

The level of UK security he thinks he warrants is increasingly risible.

I thought the DM had him drinking in a local pub in the past (I may be paraphrasing here as I cba* *to look for the article) - presumably with said friend who's moved away and rented out the house.

Remember the Sussex Squad member who actually started ranting in favour of him during the RAVEC hearing and Harry’s bodyguards had to quickly escort him out and of the room for his safety? Thankfully they managed to remove the nutter from the proceedings. I think the Stans are a bigger threat than the ‘haterz’ 🤣

I’m not a “stan”. I don’t particularly like them (or any of the RF), but this hating of M&H on social media is very unhinged.

I quite agree, the DailyMail love to stir that up too, their mission in life is to engender outrage. However people don't have to go along with it.

I like M&H well enough and don't think they've done anything wrong.

Once upon a time there was a royal prince sent away to boarding school by cold and unloving parents where he was very unhappy - that's what he said in his book.....
That would be Charles btw about QE and PP.
