Harry knocking on random doors in London

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 09/05/2025 23:28

What a strange story! I’ve seen it being reported that Harry was wandering around a road in London, knocking on (at least 3) doors whilst looking for a friend 🤔🤣

How would you not know which house your friend lived at?

@FagsMagsandBags - is Meghan being blamed? No. Harry iis.
Fewer sane people on here? Not nice. People are allowed to have informed opinions. Different from yours? Not the definition of insanity.
I find the admiration of Harry somewhat odd, but we're all different.

FagsMagsandBags · 10/05/2025 22:58

See, Immediately I don't say he's I don't know what, I admire him?! I think it's funny he couldn't find his friend's house. A lot of us have been there. The end.

And I'm not sure that there are any of us here who have a really informed opinion about anything to do with the whole family past, present or future but I'm sure we think are subjective views are reasonable because that's people, including me. My subjective opinion. You're not hurting me or anyone vulnerable. Have at it. Or more usually, no opinion at all. Except this door thing, especially now we have door cameras is a bit amusing and has reminded people of amusing stories. Fun!

I don't pretend to be able to define insanity, I do think that there are people here who have lost perspective, no doubt there are levels of insanity, I'm diagnosed as clinically depressed with added blah but pills are my friend. There are people here who are so seriously obsessed that I don't care if they're right about whatever nonsense about the family that exists obsession isn't a good thing.

I'd also have thought that at a time when there is an actual sex offender - sorry alleged but paying £12 million - but that might be subjective reality - to get rid of a case doesn't scream not guilty - the prince to go for is the slightly not very bright one who fucked off to the USA with his wife for a number of reasons.

Blaming Megan was tongue in cheek. I'd just notice that she doesn't seem much liked and some people think that she leads Harry by the nose or something.

N.b I am not talking about any individual poster because that would be unfair. I'd apologise for being inappropriate but I'm not sure I need to.

MrsEmmelineLucas · 10/05/2025 23:06

I don't think it's nice to call other people's opinions "insanity", but maybe that's just me. You want to start a thread on Andrew? Go for it, they all go the same way. No-one likes him, we're all very critical. Those threads aren't new, and we tend to agree about that character. It's entirely possible to have differing opinions on different men. It doesn't mean one or either isn't valid.
This is about Harry. It isn't about knocking on the wrong door, but everyone knows that.
It's been explained. Fully.

CalicoPusscat · 10/05/2025 23:26

I don't think Meghan would mind. They'd both laugh.

It's quite comical though after all the security cases that he was wandering around.

On a more sombre note there is knife crime and theft all over London streets. Fulham is not immune although less so than other areas.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 10/05/2025 23:31

Just catching up with this thread, goodness me so many new names to this board! All vociferously defending the Prince of the Realm, where were you all on the interview threads? What is more concerning is so many of these posters regularly knock on random peoples doors because they to have no idea where their friends live, I never knew it was such a common occurrence, every day’s a school day on Mumsnet.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 10/05/2025 23:35

And as for it being a fake, the media had no issues putting a kill notice on Catherine’s Mother’s Day photo because of some photoshop, there is no way so many National publications would run with Harry’s doorbell debacle if it wasn’t genuine.

BoudiccaRuled · 10/05/2025 23:36

I was scathing in a previous post but I just saw a DM article, giving the impression he'd been searching for old friends who moved abroad long ago. This is desperately sad. He is without old friends and, therefore, one could surmise, without hope.
Although I'm sure he'd just tell us all he's fine and to f%$¢ off, plebs.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 10/05/2025 23:38

CurlewKate · 10/05/2025 09:46

It is a non story because it is obviously fake. But it is funny.

If it was William people would be all “Aww, he’s just like us!” Or “Bless him, he must be so tired, up all night looking after the children!”

You keep saying it’s fake, why would so many publications be running with it if it was fake? They have to do their due diligence, their lawyers would have been all over it, it’s really not complicated.

They obviously didn’t give him their forwarding address……..

That is sad and quite desperate to go knocking on doors rather than trying to call them or ask others if they know of their whereabouts first.

TheAutumnCrow · 10/05/2025 12:49

Have you asked the BBC, ITV, C4, the Independent, the broadsheets and former-broadsheet newspapers like the Guardian and the Observer why they had Harry's RAVEC court case as a leading news story for many days in a row recently?

The state broadcaster and the rest of the mainstream media both reflect and affect what is regarded as 'News'. This is hardly the fault of a few MN posters.

I think Harry's judicial review was also regarded as fairly big news in various other countries. (We are not all of us from the UK.)

Also I would add that many MN posters are capable of being interested in more than one news item at a time, and holding a number of concerns in their heads simultaneously and joining them up into, say, a concern about the rise of popular authoritarianism. This is such an extremely obvious thing to understand, that I wonder what possible motive another poster might have for suggesting that it isn't.

We are supposed to ignore everything apparently, nothing to see here, the usual MO, has but but Andrew made an appearance yet? though I notice Prince Phillip is flavour of the month at the minute.

Oh yes, 'what about Andrew' made an appearance at 22.58.

Pixilicious1 · 10/05/2025 13:42

Oh give over

Hardly a stretch of the imagination is it, he is open about his usage of drugs.

MiloMinderbinder925 · 10/05/2025 20:23

They're getting money by fraudulent means? That's new to me.

Have a deep dive into Archewell registered in Delaware as a starter for ten, fraudulent? Not in the eyes of the law but it should be.

No thanks. As far as I'm aware they're not doing anything dishonest.

Might be worth having a look, it would make most honest, moral people raise an eyebrow.

@BigWillyLittleTodger these posters would rather stick pins in their eyes than read anything that shows Harry and Meghan for who and what they are even when it’s Harry and Meghan who are constantly reminding us.

foreverblowingbubbless · 11/05/2025 04:25

As Dave Edmunds said " I hear you knocking but you can't come in" 😂

Londonrach1 · 11/05/2025 06:38

Jumped most of this thread. If Harry is knocking on people's door looking for friends he really needs support. His MN and isolation must be awful. Why didn't he get his driver etc to knock. Just seems very strange.

Baital · 11/05/2025 07:51

'Honest' and 'legal' aren't the same.

Plenty of actions can be dishonest but not break the law.

It's less common the other way round, but I expect people found guilty of e.g. climate change protests would say that their actions were 'honest', even if not legal.

I think Harry has made (sold) enough demonstrably false - and contradictory! - statements to say he is 'dishonest'. He hasn't crossed any legal threshold though.

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 11/05/2025 08:00

So has it been confirmed it was a deep fake/AI image? Surely it would have been debunked by now if it wasn’t true. Or a kill noticed issued? The stories haven’t mysteriously disappeared off the face of the earth, there still running and updating the story.

Im starting to think it must be true.

Are you talking about the (now resolved) issue over the charity registration, or is there more? I’m assuming there must be, or you wouldn’t have said “deep dive”…..

That’s sad but also extremely arrogant to think that his old friend haven’t moved on with their own lives. He clearly hasn’t been in contact with them for a long time if he wasnt aware that they’ve moved abroad. Does he think life in the UK has been frozen in time since 2020 and his old friends just sit around in their houses waiting for Harry to knock on?
