Harry knocking on random doors in London

What a strange story! I’ve seen it being reported that Harry was wandering around a road in London, knocking on (at least 3) doors whilst looking for a friend 🤔🤣

How would you not know which house your friend lived at?

He obviously doesn't want me

There are so many terraces of identical houses, I remember just after we'd moved coming home from work and going in the wrong gate.
It seems odd though he didn't check the right address before setting out.

Can't be true, surely?! It's too bizarre!

I Know! I thought the headline was a click bait or something.
im pretty sure he has the best security money can get, so letting him wonder around knocking on doors is so unprofessional of them, this never happens with HNWI. It almost seems he can be left alone come and go unnoticed? So strange.

TheHerboriste · 10/05/2025 07:28

Why is he here and not home helping to tend the garden, make jam and bag pretzels?

He could be sourcing some authentic ingredients? Perhaps the secret ingredient in Meg’s jam is freshly scrapped moss which can only be found growing in the wilds of London, needs to be foraged by a man wearing a suit. This moss is tricky to find as it is only visible to princes of the realm.

Maybe he was checking the bins behind him for his reputation and rang the doorbell because he could not locate said bins?

This story reminds me of the time I tried to enter my hotel room in Istanbul. I had unwittingly misremembered my floor & it wasn’t my room. A disgruntled male inside wasn’t happy. I ran back to the lift, very embarrassed, and proceeded to accidentally do the same on another floor 😬🤣

I guess PH is more normal than the papers would care to have us believe.

He's "more normal than the papers would care to have us believe".
Well, it's not really the papers so much as his own words and actions, really. I think we get a good picture, and a dash more.

TiggyTomCat · 10/05/2025 07:40

I'm more surprised he's actually got any friends here.

Is there no end to the drama! Half a mile apart you say?

Thats probably next door. In Harry's world. Or the gamekeepers cottage.

I just don't get why people are so invested in this.

We paid hundreds of thousands (millions?) in legal fees, we literally invested in proving he was adequately protected. He's a fucking clown, but a nasty, spiteful, spoilt one with no respect for other people's money.

Thedom · 10/05/2025 07:53

It must be really annoying for him not to have highly paid and trained close protection officers to send on errands, like he had in Canada and when his wife was in labour. Thanks to the courts and RAVEC, he now has to figure out addresses himself and order deliveroo rather than have someone run out and pick it up for him.

Proves Harry is as safe as all those posters who have randomly knocked on wrong doors over the years and survived to tell the tale..

FriendsPlease · 10/05/2025 07:58

This story is hilarious. He’s really not doing himself any favors, is he? This came right after his court case where he’s insisting that British taxpayers should foot the bill (several million a year) for his 24/7 armed security. No other non-working royals get that, not even working royals that are also close relatives of the King or the late Queen get that kind of expensive security.

Why was he alone? He could have brought security that isn't armed or a private secretary, butler, paid friend or even real one, whatever.

The doorbell picture of him is iconic, Harry alone, confused, tense, barely concealed anger and disappointment, but determined to plough on rather than taking stock and changing his approach.

This will give Meghan serious ick 😂

Lol at the random Taliban or neo nazi answering the door

no you've got the wrong house and I did have plans for today, but since you're here, I'll just harm you on religious and ideological grounds.

Or worse, what if it was one of Harry and Meghans crazy superfans, the Sussex Squad, who answered the door, they would have recognised him on the spot, Harry never to be seen again a la the book 'Misery'.

FriendsPlease · 10/05/2025 08:08

The comments on the Daily Fail are too funny, "he needs a care worker, not security" "He has definitely lost his way" "See Harry, you can come and go as pleases, as long your Mrs doesn't know!" " Help l escaped and my kidnapper Meghan is after me" 😆

Court's fool

MightAsWellBeGretel · 10/05/2025 08:10

Jesus, people are willfully not seeing the point, aren't they?

He's been whinging about security yet goes knocking on random people's door? It's very odd behaviour - that's why it's in the news.

Why doesn't he have this friend's number? Any time I've been lost, I've called the friend to check. Why hasnt he done that? It would seem it's either someone he no longer has a number for or isn't sure how he'll be received if he calls in advance. Whatever is going on there, it screams of desperation and is completely incongruous with someone who is apparently concerned about their security and think the British tax payers should stump up for protection costs!

I feel for the lad. He had an awful childhood. The whole institution is rotten to the core. But he isn’t doing himself any favours at all, is he?

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 10/05/2025 08:18

Surely it’s made up BS, it’s the Sun for god sake and who really cares except the little MN gaggle of haters who have nothing better to do.

He's not a "lad". He's a 40 year old man. A prince and a multimillionaire who doesn't need to work. We taxpayers fund top level security for him (and any dependents) in the UK.
I can think of many people I feel more sorry for than a lazy royal holding out for yet more privilege.

CurlewKate · 10/05/2025 08:19

I couldn’t be more sure this didn’t happen, although I wish it had because it’s so funny. Did anyone see that interview with Princess Anne saying how much she has always hated Camilla? Much more convincing, but equally fake.

😂😂! I heard that Prince Edward slagged off the Pope and criticised his speech, saying Sky Wizards aren't real. Sadly not caught on film or Ring doorbell

Hanjan51 · 10/05/2025 08:24

This is hilarious 🤣 I bet you he didnt know he'd be filmed. He's probably not heard of doorbell cameras, when you servants open doors or security controlled gated driveways why would you. 🤣🤣

Awful childhood is crazy. It is sad he lost his mum but he lived had a childhood of unimaginable privilege with opportunities every step of the way others can only dream of. Lots of young children who lose a parent have nowhere near the support nor the resources he had. Reading Spare its clear his issue was more that he wasn't born first rather than being born into the RF at all. He's a spoilt brat who for the first time ever isn't able to get his own way by stamping his feet.

Honestly his ear isn't even an ear and the edge of his 'ear' and neck are one, yet people are so desperate to believe it.

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 09/05/2025 23:45

It’s just so random. You don’t really see a celebrity or royal adjacent on your ring door bell. Why was he randomly knocking on people’s door in a half mile radius?

Edited

Because he forgot the number?

Who cares

MrsEmmelineLucas · 10/05/2025 08:24

Knowing how fond he is of litigation, I'm sure Harry has a top Barrister on this and will sue if it's fake.
