Best advice for Harry going forward?

I have all the same initial reactions as many others on MN regarding Harry i.e. whiner, grifter, stupid, entitled etc and it's easy to dole out the criticism.

However while I wouldn't say I have sympathy for him, as so much of his situation is of his own making, I actually do have some underlying feelings of concern for him and his future (and children).

He reminds me an awful lot of a relative of mine who is neurodiverse with a mild learning disability and a tendency to be self-absorbed with an overdeveloped victim complex - always lashing out, blaming others, seeing conspiracy where there is none etc.

Harry is clearly a damaged man, with childhood trauma and issues which continue to plague his mental health.
As with my relative, he has grown up with a support network which has probably quietly managed and enabled his passage through life, but when big outbursts happen (as have happened in our family too) everyone backs off and 'grey rocks' him until he has calmed down. Some people just give up, too exhausted by the constant drama of it all.

He absolutely does! He’s a puffy faced sweaty mess.
in fairness Meghan looks great on those photos, she really must think wtf sometimes when she looks at H.

That woman has resilience. This is her husband and birth partner, who, by his own account, used up all her gas and air when she was in labour. Let me tell you, if that was my husband, there wouldn't have been baby no.2.

There's probably a link to the hat on her flog my tat.

😂😂

Diana died at 36. Of course, there is no reference point for W at ages after she died! IMHO, as a fair skinned blonde who smoked and tanned, aging would not have been kind to Diana.

And with regard to grooming, Katie Couric (US TV host) mentioned that H showed up to an interview reeking of cigarettes and alcohol. And this was while he was still under palace supervision. So, H should not throw stones while in a glass house.

Harry ’oozed alcohol from every pore’

Oh my god, does anyone remember that poster who met Harry in a nightclub before he was married? She told a story about him hitting on her and her friends, but he was unpleasant and boorish and reeked of booze and fags. This was when his public image was very positive.

Sorry, it won't post properly.

It's Dr Raj Persaud on youtube, talking about how we do (or don't) cope with loss, using Harry's latest interview as an example

Edited

Yes - agree!

Raj Persaud is very perceptive on Harry.

He's said previously that one of the reasons that therapy doesn't seem to have worked for Harry is that, basically, Harry is unlikely to continue with any therapist who challenges him or suggests that he should take some responsibility for his problems. So maybe it's a bit of an echo chamber and as such isn't ever going to address the fundamental problem?

He'd look better if he accepted the hair loss and shaved his head and got rid of the beard, that looks greasy and does him no favours. He should go for a Grant Mitchell/bouncer/menacing baby look. He's actually got a decent physique still, so could probably carry this off.

My younger bro absolutely rocks this look (he is extremely fit) and he's decades older than Harry! It's like he's stopped ageing really, he's had it so long noone can imagine him with hair any more.

MayaKovskaya · 11/05/2025 16:23

Those hair plugs just look silly. It would be better if Harry got a buzz cut, started to take care of himself and lay off the booze and other substances. It's easy enough to get fresh air and exercise where he lives. He could easily smarten up as well, he can afford nice clothes. Imagine walking up the aisle in Westminster Abbey for his father's Coronation and wearing a creased suit. What a picture.

I’ve just realised who Harry reminds me of in that hat!

Get divorced and move back to your family. I thought it would have happened long before now. If not then get on with your life as it is now and stop whining.

I don’t think his family want him. He would also lose access to his kids. Meghan would play on the ‘they’re not safe in the UK’ angle.

She just makes stuff up because that's utter nonsense.

The Mother's Day photo has dropped! It's the backs of heads, folks! 😂Meghan carrying the kids back to the camera.

The caption:

"Cheers to juggling it all with joy!

"And to these two gems who still attempt to climb "mama mountain", smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure....being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life [heart emoji]

"I, too, "love you more than all the stars in the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the French fries in the world." "

So on Mother’s Day she posted about…. Herself?
really?
nothing about her mum or anything?

Mylovelygreendress · 11/05/2025 17:29

Why does she have to carry them all the time ? Archie is 6!

Yes, but the children are resident in the US, so H wouldn't be able to bring them to the UK to live permanently, or even to visit, without M's consent. Now Archie is, or about to be, school age, he'd be looking at something like half of each school holiday.

My point is just about them being "unsafe in the UK", you're right on the other matters.

Yes. All about how she feels and how the kids make her feel. Maybe there will be a message to Doria later??

It’s comedy gold

Baital · 11/05/2025 17:42

I predicted it! How blessed she is to be a mother 😂

Thedom · 11/05/2025 17:42

Who predicted her mothers day post would be from herself to herself 👏👏 an ode to herself pretending the kids have said it.

No mention of Doria.

MayaKovskaya · 11/05/2025 17:44

😂😂unbelievable!
Meghan is comedy gold! Brilliant!

Not2identifying · 11/05/2025 17:49

Credit to her, though, that there's no mention of Diana. Her message did make me laugh, she's hilariously self-centred.

RandyRedHumpback · 11/05/2025 17:49

I know. Shouldn't the message be from Harry on behalf of the kids to their mum? While any message of Meghan's should be to her own mum? Should us mums have all have been sending ourselves Mother's Day messages all these years?

Weepixie · 11/05/2025 17:51

My advice to him would be to shut up, just duck the shut up and whilst you’re at it perhaps Meghan could shut up as well.

Then after you’ve shut up you could start living within your means, put Monteshitshow behind you, and move somewhere more affordable for a fresh start.

IAmATorturedPoet · 11/05/2025 17:55

😂😂
She never disappoints.
She really doesn’t give a flying fig about anyone else, it’s me, myself and I all the way!!
