Thanks for posting that article. Agreed it’s scathing.

But Polly Hudson is wrong slightly in that Andrew was a very popular royal.

The media played the royal war hero, back from the falklands war, with dashing good looks to the hilt. I can’t remember when it changed.

But it’s certainly a fall from grace. A most deserved one at that.

the only thing I remember from my youth is him being deemed the better looking one. I think the Falklands also made him look at bit better.(could be misremembering)
I do personally wish all his family (DOY.PB,PE) and him would just go away. there is so much talk(on here) about how PH&M and their children should have their titles taken away, yet here is a guy who has done so much worse (Chinese spy as well) yet nothing.

Sums up what a lot of us have been saying for a few years now although it's nice to see the mounting number of occasions the royals have him trotting alongside in plain sight becoming less and less defensible.

Personally I think both Andrew and Harry should have their titles taken away.

I also find it ludicrous that two children, who are unlikely to live here are Prince and Princess.

It would imo have been better for the DCs to have gone down the Edinburgh route and just had them as a Lord and Lady. I think that’s more 21st century.

Is it the Danes or the Swedes who have got rid of titles for grandchildren of the monarch apart from those in direct line. I think that’s a good precedent but I’d love to see Andrew’s face if Beatrice and Eugenie had the Princess removed!

Yes @CathyorClaire It seems there really are some contradictions there. The more there are scathing articles about him, the more the RF trot him out. I would love to know what they are thinking

@Samcro He always was a complete show off arse... do you remember him coming back from the Falklands and getting off the naval frigate and greeting the Queen with a red rose between his teeth!

Just looked up a few pictures for his service and the pompous git actually had his uniform name badge styled 'HRH Prince Andrew' 😮

I do agree its daft that A&L have prince and princess titles. but as their dad is the son of the King, they are entitled to them.
nothing H&M have done is as bad as PA. so would like him and his family to get theirs taken away first (won't happen)

I THINK, to reluctantly give him credit, the name badge thing is normal protocol.

Possibly back in the day but photos of W and H in uniform show them as <first name> Wales.

I'm sure they could have come up with something less grandiose for Andrew if that's what he'd wanted.

I have to say that the royal family are very lucky to have Harry. Just look at mumsnet for example, I have lost count of the amount of threads about him. Even an awful one about his children. Even saw the front page of a newspaper yesterday and he was front page.
no wonder no one cares about PA, Harry is all people want to talk about. He is the gift that keeps giving.

He’s not giving anything to the RF apart from heartache.

I thought this had been laid to rest , but even arguing that it wasn’t true felt like slogging up a mountain!

apart from the fact that his conception doesn’t match the date of the affair, he looks exactly like his father and grandfather .
and more than that obviously the royal family would never put someone on the LOS if they weren’t a hundred percent sure of his parentage !
