I thought I would start a separate thread to discuss the court case which started today. I for one am still baffled as to why Harry thinks that his treatment has been unreasonable, given that he no longer lives in the UK, but is still given security on a case by case basis when he visits. This seems perfectly reasonable to me 🤷‍♀️

lol at going to Ukraine obviously

ThePoshUns · 11/04/2025 07:51

As if the people of Ukraine haven’t suffered enough.

DelectableMe · 11/04/2025 07:52

Well, it's obviously safer than a court room in the UK. Poor Harry.

Mylovelygreendress · 11/04/2025 07:56

DelectableMe · 10/04/2025 22:53

I agree. He could easily have joined by zoom.

But he wouldn’t have upstaged PA’s State Visit to Italy !?

Quite. Nor had the dramatic pap walk to the court.

Do you not mean brave pap walk ?? A few yards outside in dangerous Britain !

With the court appointed security guards walking with him.

I don't suppose the court case would have been deliberately scheduled for when Charles was known to be away, Mylovelygreendress (or would it ... Confused ) but I don't suppose either that dad will be terribly pleased tto have had his Italian visit ccompletely overshadowed

Then again overshadowing is what both H&M do, so a "Look at meeee, I can still do the royalling thing" was probably to be expected ... especially if it meant he could put the London flight on Invictus's tab

Neil Sean says William will definitely be taking away the Sussex title when he ascends the throne because he's so furious about M merching it. There would need yo be an Act of Parliament. He could take away Andrew's too. Prince can't be taken away, apparently, because a prince is born not made.

If he takes Sussex title away Meghan will become Princess Henry. She & the press will refer to herself as Princess Meghan. Diana was never Princess Diana but that didn’t stop the press. Maybe that’s why Meghan was pushing my name is Sussex now.

As far as monarch’s grandchildren titles - Going forward I think Prince and Princess titles should only be for the heir and not for siblings. So for George’s dcs, but not Louis’s & not Charlotte’s (doesn’t happen for females anyway).

To make that retrospective would mean Duke’s of Kent, Gloucester, Princess Alexandra and Prince Michael, also Beatrice and Eugenie lose theirs. As well as Archie and Lillibet. I can’t see that happening until the older generation are gone.

If that's true about Invictus' tab, that's really shocking. Greedy and low.

DelectableMe · 11/04/2025 08:24

@NewAgeNewMe - yes, I think there needs to be a review of George V's Letters Patent (updated by QE2 for the then Cambridge children).

Of course the whole trip will have been paid for by Invictus.

The flights, the accommodation, the security, everything. We're talking well into the 5 figures, for a half day visit.

As I said, I was surprised he turned up at the court when there was no need for him to be there, but now we know.

Invictus is basically a racket at this stage.

That would make sense. It should be done. Princess Henry on the jams lol

I agree that the Court date timing couldn’t be helped but did Harry actually have to be there ? If the U.K. is so dangerous would he not have been safer to zoom in ?

IcedPurple · 11/04/2025 08:32

Harry claims that the type of security which manages to keep any number of VIPs safe in London because he is a Prince of the Realm and requires high level armed protection coordinated with access to intelligence.

But then he jets off to an active war zone, presumably without coordination with the FCO? I wonder how he travelled. Lviv is quite close to Poland so maybe he flew to Warsaw or Krakov and then travelled by road, in a convoy of course?

I doubt he was in any real danger but it's really not something a prince, even if not holding any official role, should do without clearing it with the FCO first.

TBF we (self included) can only speculate whether Invictus paying for all of Harry's travel and extras including to/from the US west coast.

However somebody must have picked up the tab for a return biz jet flight Uk/Rzesow (current gateway airport for Lviv) yesterday.

If that's anything to do with Invictus and they paid I hope the charity gets some benefit out of the media coverage, not just the patron.

They are published by the Charity Commission so you can.

It is possible to view the Invictus accounts, but they won’t give you any details or specifics on where the money goes. It’s murkier than swamp water. A huge great umbrella of spending on “charitable activities” covers pretty much everything. Which funnily enough has gone up exponentially these past few years. No one needs three guesses as to why.

But now we know that Harry run his charities like a dictator and everyone has to put up and shut up while he does what he wants.

Exactly, MummyJ12
Again, we don't know that Invictus paid for all Harry's flights, but it's a bit of a well worn path for the RF ... hate to bring Andrew into it, but look at the number of golfing trips which just happened to be tacked onto an hour's "work"

And no, @Mylovelygreendress, clearly Harry didn't have to be in court - or in Ukraine come to that - but while I've mostly given up on this I'm still hoping he doesn't use the visit to whine about his own situation

Yes, like we can only speculate about who paid for the patron and his wife, who has no role in Invictus, to fly privately to Vancouver, even though commercial options were available.

But I think we can make a reasonably good guess.

Just for another perspective and she isn’t always wrong, many times she has been correct. According to Lady C their freedom flight was in the planning from the day they left a hospital in Birkenhead and Archie did a nose dive as she puts it. The Getty images are on google. It’s worth looking at the video of her visiting the dogs charity, she bends down high heels on to the ground then gets up but watch the belly it goes in and POP makes a loud noise and out it goes. If someone could provide me with an explanation for this I am interested to hear. Anyone has this during pregnancy? It’s a very clear image in the video and watch the stomach. Pregnant woman stomachs do not do that and then a loud pop as it unfolds.

I know a lot are convinced she had those children but there’s plenty photos circulating showing the straps through her dress of her moonbump. There was no Doctor to sign off for Queen, which there was for the other births including the York girls. Strange birth story in Spare, various people saying she had fertility issues, refusing to address it in interviews and presently the biggest amount of mail to Buckingham Palace is requesting evidence of “born of the body”. It needs clearing up due to due their stories and behaviour around this time and it’s very simple to clear up the facts.
