Harry RAVEC decision appeal

I thought I would start a separate thread to discuss the court case which started today. I for one am still baffled as to why Harry thinks that his treatment has been unreasonable, given that he no longer lives in the UK, but is still given security on a case by case basis when he visits. This seems perfectly reasonable to me 🤷‍♀️

Although they didn't take the cousins minibus at the Platinum Jubilee service to St Paul's. They were provided with a private limousine.

Because apparently they arrived late and missed the bus, accidentally or otherwise late,

Profhilodisaster · 08/04/2025 15:40

I wonder if the judges have already made up their minds.

smilesy · 08/04/2025 15:41

He’s a self absorbed fool. Oh dear, it’s not fair? What and Will got a bigger bedroom at Balmoral too

Personally, I blame the unequal allocation of sausages

altered for sense

I’m guessing that ultimately, a lot will hinge on RAVEC’s risk assessment. I know they were targetted by Neo Nazis but there’s a reason they wee caught before harm was done. If there’s been no credible threats - and I can’t imagine any U.K. based people would threaten people who are never in the UK - how can Harry claim he needs the highest security at all times?

IAmATorturedPoet · 08/04/2025 15:44

Was that the service where they had to do the walk of shame? 😂

Profhilodisaster · 08/04/2025 15:47

Testing testing

Because, I think, it's less about any threats and more about his status.
He wants the same status, security wise, as the Monarch and the Heir to the Throne, who are both UK based, working royals.

Which is what this is all about our - being pissed off because yet again Willy has a bigger bedroom/more sausages/more security and ITS NOT FAIR <stamps foot>

DelectableMe · 08/04/2025 15:51

Sir James Eadie, KC, the government senior barrister has said that it is right to give Harry security protection on a case by case basis, and sees "no reason" for this to change.
He emphasises that Harry gets security provided, there is no question that he is not protected.

Vaxtable · 08/04/2025 15:57

Harry has a big chip on his shoulder, and thinks he should still be treated as a member of the royal family even though he is not a working member and lives aboard

Andrew pays for his own now, Anne doesn’t have any, not Edward and Sophie unless they are on royal engagements

He chose to leave, he can’t have all the trappings as well

This. All his bleating makes no sense when he is given security of appropriate, unless he just wants the security so that he appears to be important. I suspect this is the real reason as many have said

@smilesy - in a nutshell.
It's not about the safety of himself or his family. It's about his arrogance and entitlement.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 08/04/2025 16:00

He seems to think that the royal representative on RAVEC when the original decision was made was specifically against him personally and influenced the decision. It was why he was demanding to know who had said what in terms of making the decision

Very probably, @Wordler, but then I fully expect that anyone who fails to give him what he wants will be considered "against him" rather than simply doing their job as they're required to ... hence even the family now being said to have "made them" give up their role, when what they were refused was half in/half out (as Harry said himself at the time)

And while this case is about the process Ravec used rather than the actual decision arrived at, I also agree Harry may not see itt in those terms.
Certainly his more disturbed supporters will crow if Ravec are told they didn't get some technicality quite right, but that's a long way from Harry getting what he wants - especially when the judge has already said that the bespoke arrangement is legally sound

It was the Platinum Jubilee service I think, where they missed the group bus - deliberately or otherwise - so they could go in a limo and walk in alone

I rather doubt they'd see it as a walk of shame though, more as a "Look at us with our own procession" Netflix-worthy moment
Pity they didn't notice the expressions among the congregation who saw them, but if it does make it to Netflix they'll presumably edit those out

Its all about his ego, and to hell with the cost to the tax payer.

Harry's taken the crown while the King's been delayed in the Forum.

He is now King Harold III and Nandos is free.

We quitted the job but he wants the perks. Can I quit mine, go to live elsewhere and keep my salary and child tax free account, please?

Maybe a better phrase would be the ‘walk of the shameless’

Yes, the expressions on the faces of the congregation as the couple went past were priceless. 🤣🤣
