I read one of the reviews of her programme and the reviewer said that he expected Harry to "stagger downstairs in his shorts and dressing gown, and with a spliff" which really made me laugh!

Harry seems to think he's owed a living because he's a prince. He has no concept of what it takes to live in the real world and look after himself. It's why he's making such a mess of everything. He's pretty useless with no natural talent at anything.
The royal family are to blame for a lot of this, I don't think they pushed him to be independent in any way, but then I don't think they ever expected him to leave the 'fold' so independence wasn't really necessary.
Harry was given too much leeway growing up because of the circumstances surrounding Diana's death and seems to have had very few boundaries put in place - perhaps his temperament marked him as a loose cannon even then and the RF chose to let him work through it on his own - the wrong choice as has been proved. William's character, however, has allowed him to be moulded into a totally different adult by the RF and the men in suits and he seems to be more in touch with reality than H could ever be.

Are you sorry to say it? Sounded odd and gleeful to me.
I hardly think watching a couple of 5 minute videos on YT over a year ago while recovering from an operation makes for an unhealthy interest. Someone mentioned it on a board here once and I looked it up out of interest, which is a very unremarkable thing to do.

It's possible that it's the other way round: the exposure is because he is dimmer than most.

When Prince Edward's attempt to break free from the whole Royal circus failed and his business went bust, he had the sense to STFU rather than run to the press (as it was then rather than The Meeja) doing tell-alls about his family and seeking validation no matter who got hurt.

He actually liked his family! Difference. Amd k ow which side his bread were buttered. But the whole Sophie fake sheikh thing was distasteful. But again they STFU and the actual clever people handled the communications.

I very much doubt they'd want him. Neither his lifestyle nor his reputation are anything a brand like Burberry would want to be associated with.

Very valid points there, AskingQuestionsAllTheTime; as you rightly suggest, Edward was also useless at anything that didn't involve his royal privilege but at least he's kept schtum about it on the whole

Certainly the royals haven't always been known for academic brilliance. Some have been intelligent though on the social end and with a great lump of common sense. Unfortunately Harry missed the common sense too. He could do the social end until he decided to burn that tool. People liked him.
