It seems strange that someone is inspired to such gleeful optimisation in the face of facts.
Problem is, it's not really come through for them when the reality comes to light.
Last time I remember reading such enthusiasm was someone (was it something like LipstickLips?) Was saying they would definitely get the TM for ARO and would come back and cheer when they did. Obviously we know now how that turned out.

Thing is, if Twitter/TicToc were really full of people delighted with people receiving and tasting the spread then it wouldn't need Tattler here to point it out. Putting "here's another one" makes it look like they're having to search for any and are afraid they'll be not seen if no one advertised it.

Enthusiasm like this makes me wonder why. If products are really good and people have bought them, in these day of SM, it doesn't need cheerleaders outside the ones who have bought it, especially when the buyers disproportionately will be the types to post it online.

Re-reading that back- the Kate hate is real. They will ‘collaborate’ with the duke. Not the duchess 😂.

Harry and Meghan loved the inequality aspect of the royal family. They loved the glamour and the luxury and the taxpayer funded perks. Their actual problem was the feeling that it wasn't paying them enough. They looked at Bill Gates and the Obamas and Oprah and Beyoncé and thought 'Why can't we monetise our status and have some of that? Why can't we have freebies and merching deals and luxury 95% expenses from a billionaire foundation?' They still use their royal titles, exploit their royal connections, and expect the UK taxpayer to pay for their security.

I will never understand why people think Harry and Meghan are 'sticking it to the establishment' when they both represent the most entitled, money-grubbing aspects of aristocratic and celebrity culture.

Also- I have to say, after the initial launch and associated screw ups, I had consigned myself to the next ‘seasonal launch’ for entertainment.

From imitating the Royal duchy products, imitating Royal tours, from appropriating other nationalities. to stealing brand names, to pretending she has a business.

What an operator, no wonder she is globally ridiculed, most people have the valuable insight and perceptiveness, dare I say intellect, to see right through these great pretenders.

I don't like to upset anyone, but wasn't poor Guy's last televisual act to be filmed eating one of Meghan's dog biscuits (which, presumably have no connection to the shortbread mix being currently merched, but how would we know?). I don't know much about marketing but even I can see a problem with the connection between making dog biscuits and a dear dog turning up its toes shortly after eating them.

From a cooking perspective, the spread is not going to cut it with the Victoria sponge Meghan did on WLM. You would not be able to keep clean lines and colours with liquid spread. The reviewers need to not do live takes as their faces when tasting do not seem in agreement with their words

The products are nicely packaged and presented but overpriced. Without judging the quality of the products I can't see anyone other than fans (and a few committed anti-fans) buying them.

With regards to other royals selling things - those are pretty much produce of their estates aren't they? So not quite the same thing.

@tataler I’m going to stop engaging with you now because you have just shown, at length, that you have no understanding of how the monarchy works, no understanding of the British tax system or the Royal Lists or British history.

There is no point engaging with posters who haven’t got the first clue how the system works. I don’t have time to point everything out to you. Suffice to say. The saddest thing about this whole debacle is the lies that Squaddies spread all over the internet about the RF, without the first idea of what Britain or the Monarchy is about. They recite a script they’ve been taught and be damned with the consequences. Ever since Kate Gate it has been obvious that the only function of the Sussex Squad is to tear down anyone they see as a threat to their leader, even if that has horrific real world consequences.

I’m afraid I have no time for a group of people who will tell whatever attack line that is fed to them in defence of two people who have openly lied, victimised and bullied people for their own gain.

They all need to give their heads a wobble.

I doubt it, the show was filmed summer last year. I don’t believe he did until months after. But you make a good point as you certainly thought about it.

Of course, the question now is, was the shortbread always intended to be a 'shortbread' mix, or did subsequent re-labelling occur? I'm sure it's not the case, but still...it's another association in the mind of customers.

Yes, many famous people do. If she was selling merch because she was Rachel in Suits that would be fine. She is selling jam because she married into the RF, got on the global stage made a career out of moaning about the RF and yet has used their platform to sell biscuits.

It's all a bit of a sell out. Kerchiiing.
