Yes, the art teacher got in trouble for doing his work. I Renner reading that when Spare came out.

Indeed ! Spare was a revelation but not in the way Harry had hoped!! 🤣

IAmATorturedPoet · 07/04/2025 13:59

Is it honey?

We will have to guess, I don’t click on anything from Tik tok or other unsubstantiated media.

tataler · 07/04/2025 14:02

IAmATorturedPoet · 07/04/2025 13:59

Is it honey?

No, just jam and tea I think.

BunnyLake · 07/04/2025 14:03

Reetpetitenot · 07/04/2025 13:46

I note the Highgrove strawberry preserve is 62% fruit, which is high, and that the As Ever product doesn't seem to specify fruit content.

Are they not meant to, by law, even in the US?

Law in the US does not demand it, it is good practice though.

BemusedAmerican · 07/04/2025 14:12

The ingredients are listed from the highest to lowest in terms of amount but percentages are not listed on a food label.

However, the FDA knows the percentages, which is why it is a spread:

No that's why it's going to charity. Megs carnt come up with an original idea that's why she's jumped on the jam. The royals have been producing jam and honey for decades to raise money. The king and Kate have kept bees foryears, and the king has always been keen on gardening since childhood. Megs needs to be original not jumping on the bandwagon thinking she can do it better. News flash she carnt

Dumfres house. a complete vanity project

Could you explain what you mean by that?

BemusedAmerican · 07/04/2025 14:16

Nutritional info is listed on the product label so it will tell you how many grams of sugar are in a serving, and what percentage of the recommended daily allowance is in the serving.

So you can compare the seving size between two brands and the amount of sugar if desired.

Going by @BemusedAmericanhelpful post , I’m assuming if the fda knows and releases this to the suppliers in the U.K. it would be fine , obviously certain ingredients that are not allowed in the U.K. would not be allowed but if the ingredients are inline with our guidelines then all is fine.

Mylovelygreendress · 07/04/2025 14:15

Well, first you would have to see if they do ship internationally as not everyone will do do. If they do. They handle all the regulations.

If you ship food overseas, the shipper has to do a statement listing the contents. I get a particular healthy herbal tea from another country. The DHL package label for customs lists the contents and explains the use. It is clear that it is for my personal consumption and I am not going to sell it. All of this goes through customs and sniffer dogs so if my tea was illegal, they would catch it.

jeffgoldblum · 07/04/2025 14:26

Ah slight cross post @BemusedAmerican!! 🤣🤣

You mean you can buy packaged food products and not have any ingredient info on it 😱 I’m genuinely shocked.

BemusedAmerican · 07/04/2025 14:27

Since Meghan is using such a big company, they can handle all the details for her. My tea guy is small.

Sorry for the typos. I'm on a really bumpy train.

No ! @BunnyLake, information has been provided by @BemusedAmerican, who is in fact American!
im from the U.K. but it needs to be pointed out that although the US and the U.K. have different guidelines for food they both have them , I’m not sure why people think they don’t.

Have you been there? It’s a wonderful project which provides employment and training for people in a deprived area.

It's Dumfries!

JSMill · 07/04/2025 15:10

Dumfries House has been an amazing project. The house itself has been restored to its former glory. It has provided training and employment for the community and I believe it also offers leisure facilities for the community on the estate. Well done to Prince Charles for having the vision to take it on.

Well I've read some...entertaining...comments today based on misinformation but this one takes the As Ever crepe elevated with strawberry spread and flower sprinkles! I'm guessing you know nothing about Dumfries House, its collection of priceless Chippendale furniture saved from auction for the nation, the fabulous gardens with free entry, the multiple apprenticeships in a variety of skills which have given a trade to young people in a depressed area, a wide range of educational programmes, a community fridge to provide foods to local residents from local suppliers thst eould otherwise go to waste, the heated outdoor swimming pool open to all...

You see, I think you folk who want to abolish the monarchy would do a lot better if you were more polite and avoided being abusive about individuals. The general public don't like it. You catch more flies with honey, after all, as the saying goes. Well, unless you're Markle and don't actually appear to have any honey in the first place.
