It’s a shame it’s come to this. It’s a shame for the reputation of the RF and the U.K. when there were VERY early rumours just before their marriage about them being a pair of total colossal bell ends, I though how unfair that was and everyone was just jealous and hateful, Harry is a lovely humble bloke with past trauma and has found a lovely slightly shy woman who will be very good for the face of a modern monarchy.

I am currently choking on my humble pie.

Edited

I don't think he has damaged the RF's reputation, "recollections may vary" was a master stroke and all he is doing is showing the value of playing a long game in the public arena. Never complain, never explain definitely helps today's stories become tomorrow's chip paper.

Others in the family have been far more damaging.

Very fair points as ever, MrsLF; I'd only add that, with his credibility already in shreds, any expectation that there'd be favourable news articles following this would show him to be even more misguided than I thought

It'll also be interesting to see what "evidence/receipts" Ms Chandauka holds - I don't think we've seen any yet? - and if they really are as suggested In suspect that'll be it for Harry

I am reassured Ms Chandauka has a plan. Harry is no longer a patron so he's not an immediate threat. She will be using the evidence with the Charity Commission in the first instance.

He has history for this type of imperious letter, demanding action and issuing threats.

Head of Security- AKA- Prince Harry

Fucking hell. Demanding arrests!! Wow. Such entitlement.

Agreed again, MrsLF

I hadn't realised though that the upcoming Ravec thing was so soon and thought it was slated for late summer (though maybe I'm getting mixed up with the Mail case) and if that too fails to deliver everything Harry wants I doubt he'll be a happy bunny

I'm completely lost with all the cases. I can't see him getting what he wants from RAVEC but I don't know how quickly they will release the outcome.

Harry's PR team

MrsLeonFarrell · 31/03/2025 14:01

It occurs that the more imperiously he behaves the less support he'll get from the more republican press sources who have been trying to be positive up until now.

Harry's PR team

Does he have a press team anymore? I'm finding it hard to believe he does.

AtIusvue · 31/03/2025 14:03

I can’t imagine Harry will be taking this news well.

He probably needs some sort of intervention and re-hab stint for his MH.

He is clearly delusional with security fears, hatred of the press and thinking that Meghan is constantly attacked and he must rescue her from every situation. Delusional too in his entitlement and attitude.

He has no grounding, no root system, as he’s cut himself off from his family, friends, culture, country and now his charity. He’s flailing about and there’s nothing bringing him back down to earth.

If he doesn’t get help, he’s a lost cause.

They appointed a new head of communications a few weeks ago.

Isn't this letter the one that was famously replied to by Backgrid (the paparazzi team Harry wants arrested) their response is here:

“In America, as I’m sure you know, property belongs to the owner of it: Third parties cannot just demand it be given to them, as perhaps Kings can do.

“Perhaps you should sit down with your client and advise them that his English rules of royal prerogative to demand that the citizenry hand over their property to the Crown were rejected by this country long ago. We stand by our founding fathers.”

BasiliskStare · 31/03/2025 14:09

@BemusedAmerican And the trip was for ...... "However, a source exclusively reveals to us that Harry did not actually get a tattoo during his visit to the famed shop Wednesday, as he was just there for a promotional stunt he’s filming for an upcoming project." - Page Six ( no idea what that publication is like as far as credibility goes )
I suppose this is too small a thing to get on the Mayor's radar , but what justification does he (the Mayor) have for this use of police resources and do people care or is it just not really on their radar. I don't often used the phrase " entitled self important delusional nincompoop " but I'll make an exception in this case. That's H not your no doubt esteemed Mayor. 😂

edited to replace unselfaware with delusional

No but it was about the same thing- the car chase. Harry told Backgrid not to make available/publish the NY photos (like he did with the british press and they complied) ….that was the awesome reply Backgrid wrote back.

I was reflecting further on the polo match fiasco, and how shocking it is that Harry expected the charity to bear the increased costs of paying for the polo pitch when the match became a commercial rather than charitable initiative.

Even putting aside the inappropriateness of inviting Netflix along full stop, if he genuinely cared about the charity any normal person would have said “because this will now be being filmed for my Netflix series, the production will pick up the costs of the pitch and any other overhead expenses”

the fact that he did not even offer just goes to show how greedy and selfish he is - god forbid he should cut into his own personal profits, even when that means reducing donations to the charity he’s a patron of.

I think another poster said it on the last thread, but he very much sees Sentebale as “his” pet project, for him to do with as he sees fit - all the trustees and staff are minions to do his princely bidding, and the recipients of the charity just a way for him to show the world how wonderful he is. I imagine he views Invictus in exactly the same way.

The evidence of the text to SC doesn’t in any way surprise me. The guy is an utter prick. He and Meghan deserve each other.

I do agree this will be very hard for him to take, but I have zero sympathy. He’s got away with behaving like an arsehole for years and years - it’s about time it caught up with him.

I wonder if she is penning her resignation letter.

Ashley Hansen (previous head of PR) had a mental breakdown- it’s clear why - all the pressure she was under. I can’t think of a worse job- constant fire fighting and having to deal M&H, both of whom have now been accused of bullying.

Ashley was talking about her MH and her job on this podcast

Speaking as an ex PR, I hope so. What they need now is an agency specialising in
crisis PR. An in-house team is not best placed to deal with a crisis on this scale. It's quickly turning into a global character assassination. You need to be able to talk through the issues and approaches with a variety of colleagues to get different points of view. You need to be able to give robust advice without fear of being sacked.

Edited for typo

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 31/03/2025 14:18

I know some posters will groan that I’ve posted anything from the Daily Mail but this clip is very interesting. It explains that Audi used to be a big sponsor of the polo matches and raised thousands of pounds, and they had a symbiotic relationship with the royal family. But when Meghan became involved
with Harry she wanted for them to be a more official corporate sponsor, wanting them to sponsor the matches for a lot more money (approx 1 million per match). Audi weren’t willing to do this and decided to pull out, and the charity never really recovered from that lost sponsorship.

It looks like this where the initial issues stemmed from.

I missed that. My sympathies are sort of extended to them but surely by now Harry's reputation precedes him?

Foolish to take on the job, I agree.

Mightymoog · 31/03/2025 14:20

Also, can I just say how much I'm enjoying the fact that he's experiencing what it's like not to have everyone just do as he wants.

Be nice if the sycophancy stopped for all the rf but sadly appears that's not happening any time soon

Related to this , but awhile back ( 2024? ) a newspaper ( the daily mail?) printed an article that seemed to fall off the radar but now seems very pertinent!
harry and Meghan apparently tried ( and luckily failed!) to patent or trademark “ sentable “ in the us for a variety of uses ! Going from memory… some of the listed examples were .. mental health and campaigning ! No mention of the original function of the charity.
I feel this is quite interesting!
