Switching to Meghan's launch, she really does seem to have aimed squarely at her super fans (a keepsake box to celebrate the launch of her products - nobody rational is keeping that) - I just doubt that there's much money in her super fans. In a small way, people hating her is a big part of her appeal - but not to a significant enough audience.

BuzzFeed weren't shy of rowing back on Chrissy Teigen articles when she was exposed as a bully - but they keep plugging Meghan. I suspect CT is the wrong sort of ethnic minority to get their unwavering support.

Looks like quite a flaky career to me. Lot of hopping about, fingers in opportunistic pies and no evidence of traction or growth/achievement.

My guess is that H&M having a friend support them is more powerful than speaking themselves. Some of the coverage over the last few days has mentioned that 'The Sussexes were contacted for comment' but they did not respond. Everything has to be played their way.

Because it reads like Harry's side is saying "SC is just an uppity black woman who didn't know her place and didn't grovel to her betters" ... which basically proves what SC is saying

There problems for Harry short term is waiting for the US press to pick this up and even if this was a pissed up Alex trying to do his mate a favour without Harry's knowledge any denial will come off the back of Harry's demand of others to take responsibility for their actions.

Racism has long been used against woc who speak against H&M. Because H&M's quest has nothing to do with race or lifting up/protecting poc. No, it's about enhancing their own power, and what weapons they can use to obtain that power. Their supporters know the script. They use the real plight suffered by some/many poc to elevate the Sussex status from privileged to untouchable. If a poc speaks against them, they unleash the tropes and weapons of race against those people. So we have Dr C being said to be jealous of another woc on a podium, one whose status is based on her looks and bagging a white man - not jealous of anyone else mind, as she needs to know her place is behind the white prince and the other white guy. I watched the Piers Morgan segment on Dr Chandauka as it came up on my feed. Stalwart Sussex supporter, Paula Rhone-Arien , herself a woc, is basically using the "hysterical black woman" trope against Dr C - who has been the epitome of calm and collected as far as I'm concerned, as opposed to the emotion fueled flounce of Harry. Oh, and Dr C is not to be automatically believed "Me Too" style as the matter is in "litigation" (it is not, it's under investigation by the Charities Commission), as if she's a criminal on trial, but MM's claim of racism was to be believed without question. Power, power, power. That's all this is about.

The article makes it pretty clear that Harry's friend is speaking to the Daily Mail with Harry's full permission and as Harry's mouthpiece. I think we can confidently state that everything Posh Friend says in the article is direct from Harry's mouth. It's a smear campaign using a tabloid that Harry supposedly hates but one that he knows has a huge readership in the UK and US.

Why should a venue at the lowest common denominator offer a cheap rate knowing that this is essentially now a TV shoot and therefore a completely different thing to a polo match.

I hadn’t really thought about this aspect much before SC raising this. I presume production companies have people and lawyers dedicated to sorting out this sort of thing. I also vaguely remember being asked to sign a release for my children being filmed for something (can’t remember what, it would have been something they turned up to - they are not actors or anything like that). So I guess there might have been a need for a similar release from people filmed in the NF documentary given it was a private event. I can see how someone with no knowledge of an industry could think you could just turn up and film but if you are being paid £100million to produce stuff then you really have no excuse.

But the point Harry is trying to get out there is that the charity has shot its golden goose. The thread you linked claimed that she couldn’t raise funds. So it’s bullshit.

How much time and effort has Harry actually put in? I doubt it has ever been something he has ever had to factor into his plans, just a vanity project he can dip into when he wants to.
