" The Sussex machine is the PR machine that supports Prince Harry's efforts" - I'm only labouring this point to make it clear that it wasn't referring to SS but much closer to Harry than that.

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 20:01

Thing is, the Oprah interview was so damaging, even though they had no evidence and many of their assertions could be proved wrong.

It was damaging because of the optics. It’s the same here- there’s no getting round it.

When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make sense to hear Sophie's story from her?

Words · 29/03/2025 20:07

Mmm. Let us see thé full interview in context tomorrow.
Very fascinating.

There would be no advantage to Sentebale for the donations to Sentebale to be rooted through Archewell. I'm not clear on what the advantage to Meghan would be either - some sort of US aid based on a percentage of total donations in-year. If you understand, please enlighten me.

Technically - because Archewell is registered in Delaware they don't have to use more than 5% of donations on charitable activities.

IcedPurple · 29/03/2025 20:09

Whatever the rights and wrongs of this situation, I think we can agree that things would never have reached this sorry stage had the much derided 'grey men' been running the show.

Oh man, get her on Oprah right now. Please, please let Oprah give her a platform.

IAmATorturedPoet · 29/03/2025 20:15

Dr Chandauka's claims that she was bullied and harassed, briefed against by Prince Harry, or that the Sussex machine was unleashed”

Well, If she has receipts then he is as good as finished.

There's always that one person who is captured gaping in horror at what they have just seen! Remember the Invictus games, the LA fires ...

This is kinda funny, the only one with a big smile is Meghan Markle 😁

Rhaidimiddim · 29/03/2025 20:16

BigWillyLittleTodger · 29/03/2025 19:42

I was responding to @Thedom post below, will try to re phrase!

Kind of refreshing to be on to the 2nd thread discussing Harry and Meghan public behaviour without the usual defenders hopping on and calling posters racists and dogwhistlers.

If the discussion is incredibly serious and hard to defend like this one their supporters tend not to post, however if we post on a thread where we think Meghan’s jam venture won’t succeed lots of posters descend and we are called all the names listed as per your post.

Edited

I remember reading that post before it disappeared.
I saw nothing objectionable in it.

Also she dug her own pit and fell into it. Not thé performance I would havé expected from a média traîned corporate lawyer. Weird.

I would be gnawing my hand off watching that if I was her comms person. But we need to see full context.

Sorry about thé accents. Trying to sort.

Interesting. What do you think was so bad about her appearance?

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 20:20

Also just like the RF, it’s difficult for them to come out and do an interview etc to say otherwise…..again, because how it would look.

Why? Because it’s ‘her’ truth. He chose to live in a world where actual facts don’t matter- it was all about thoughts and feelings, not actually what happened. He even admitted that in spare.

I suspect there will just be silence….Suddenly following the never complain, never explain mantra that he railed against. Rem when they said the worst thing to say is nothing at all. Hmmmm

Not a very highbrow contribution but dr Sophie Chandauka is absolutely stunning. Obviously smart, courageous, and highly educated too.

Yess, she is so beautiful, along with all the rest of her attributes, smart, courageous and everything there is to be admired in a woman.

StartupRepair · 29/03/2025 20:21

Wow. Everything we have surmised from seeing Harry and Meghan's behaviour over the years is looking to be true. She is rude to people and Harry makes them cover it up and praise her.
I'm interested in the statement that people don't want to be involved with Sentebale because of Harry's toxicity. I can imagine serious professional people not wanting a bar of a vanity project. I bet this is happening at Invictus too.

I was just watching Sky News now and the journalist said they contacted Harry's rep but they refused to comment.

I agree that Harry is in a crap situation no matter what he does now. But this is the game he's been playing for the past 7 years, so it was always going to rebound on him at some point.

Yip, it’s finally caught up with him. Suddenly actual facts and events will be incredibly important.
Suddenly the press will be very important to get these facts out.

Thedom · 29/03/2025 20:22

are you referring to Sophie Chandauka ?

Because if you are,I see it totally differently, she was pushed into the pit by multiple Sussex hands and is bravely digging herself out of the pit by her fingernails.

She is up against a hugely expensive global Sussex PR and legal machine and is fighting the good fight, it's admirable she is facing this as the whistleblowing underdog.

If she even has a comms team, I expect they would be extremely proud of her and not even remotely gnawing off any hands.

Good on her.

AtIusvue · 29/03/2025 20:34
