Serious question...what is he actually doing

I reiterate, he is not taking a penny from the taxpayer. He can do whatever he wants, as long as it is legal. Don’t know why this is so difficult to understand or why people like the OP think they own a piece of him.

DelectableMe · 29/03/2025 10:10

He has taken plenty from the taxpayer. He continues to demand that the UK taxpayers fund his security to the highest level whenever he chooses to turn up in the UK.

SoNotaRealHousewife · 29/03/2025 10:10

Perhaps he tends to the bees and er stuff, important stuff

He wants the taxpayer to fund his security in the UK! So yes, he would LIKE to take money from the tax payer. Who do you think paid for his wedding?

Delphigirl · 29/03/2025 11:06

His wedding was funded when he was a working royal. He no longer is. Remember? He left. He is in the US living his best life with his family in sunny California. What he is doing there is his business.
Yes he wants security when he visits the UK because of the undoubted risks which arise from the accident of his birth. Like other high profile high risk people get security when they visit the uk (Taylor swift, anyone?). He will either succeed or he will fail at that, he’s already failed once so he has a mountain to climb. But he is not taking taxpayers money, he is making his own, and I know that pisses a lot of Harry-haters off, but there you go.

Not true. His grandiose case against the Home Office for his security has cost the taxpayer over £500,000 to date and is likely to cost £1,000,000 in legal fees.

If he wins then he will cost the taxpayer substantially more - so yes he taking more than a penny from the taxpayer and his intentions are to take many more pennys from the taxpayer.

No one is pissed off if he’s making his own money, it’s the way he’s made it that’s the issue. Selling out his family .

Delphigirl · 29/03/2025 11:08

Maybe he tends his bees, maybe he write Star Trek fan fiction, maybe he does Meghan’s pedicures. None of our business.

Delphigirl · 29/03/2025 11:09

Like his father did before him you mean? Long book moaning about his childhood and his parents? Check. Documentary moaning about how nasty everyone was to him? Check.

This is the bottom line. He has presented himself as some kind of sinned against warrior. Insta threw this up yesterday and I had never seen this before. What was he on ? A freedom flight? Was he a persecuted refugee? What a strange perverted image he has of himself. I believe it was from their documentary. Poor Granny with all hair all wrapped up getting a camera stuck in her face. Poor people flying in a private plane. He is just gormless isn't he?

“Thanks to an amazing friend who we have never met” Sums up his life and his expectations really doesn’t it ? Because all of us go around fucking up our lives and burning our social and familial bridges and relationships safe in the knowledge that amazing friends we have never met will swoop in and save us with private jets and free houses to live in.

No wonder he has no incentive to get off his arse and do something for himself.

If you think that people should not be able to judicially review the government then I can’t help you. Trump and Musk would agree with you. Those costs are still not going to Harry.

If you think that grandiose, delusion ex-pat ex-Royals who contribute nothing to the UK should be able to judicially review the government then I can’t help you.

Those costs are still coming from the taxpayer - which was the assertion - that he's not costing the tax payer a penny - he is and he wants the taxpayer to fund his security.

Did you see the Dimbleby interview? Read the book? Both very dull, I'm afraid. No-one was slagged off and he didn't spend years fabricating some sort of weird victimhood.
It was mostly that he wished he'd gone to another school as he was badly bullied, although he was coming to terms with it. Also that he regretted his marriage having broken down. He did not specifically blame anyone in those scenarios, and said it had given him pause to reflect.

That was Tyler Perry ..... who was seeding investment / grooming with this gift for his business associate Oprah to ensure she closed the deal on the interview.

Which again only goes to show how naive H and M are. Remember the very dodgy “business people” they were pictured with on the Nigeria trip. They are babes in the wood when it comes to being led astray by people who have deeper purposes than supporting a pair of star crossed lovers make their way in the big bad world.

24/7 in the Sussex war room, stand in replacement for the staff who are on sick leave and in therapy, .

Hassling the remaining war room staff on how they can plan revenge on anyone who says anything bad about his wife and lobbying his buddies to step in and help with their PR.

Not just the U.K. taxpayers either! Ask @BemusedAmericanabout who pays every time he needs extra police when out and about in America!
and let’s not forget the poor taxpayers of Columbia and Nigeria either!

Yes, good points! He leeches off various taxpayers. True.

You're right. They're the worst combination - greedy, arrogant and ill informed. People will exploit that.

Not wondering what you're doing with your days that’s for sure. I reckon he’s coping just fine with his two children and beautiful wife he loves in the Californian sunshine.

KIlliePieMyOhMy · 29/03/2025 13:25

Surely an obvious candidate for Bond.

You'd think he'd realise how fortunate he is, wouldn't you?
