Commissionable links- means when a potential customer clicks on the link, it's attributed to the affiliate, allowing the brand to record the source of the traffic. If someone buys a product using an affiliate link, the brand will pay the affiliate marketer commission on the sale

But she’s not an influencer?

This is really sad actually.

It may be a discussion’ in your book however for those us who have no desire to persistently and obsessively put the same woman down it does look like a barrage of hatred. Perhaps this behaviour is normal is your lives but it really isn’t in mine.

Nobody is obsessively putting her down, nor is it a barrage of hatred.
If you are in support of her actions, fine. Argue the case, that's what a discussion is. Perhaps report any "hate", MN will delete.

Mistyglade · 25/03/2025 20:27

I don’t have a view on her business. I couldn’t care less. I do have a view on the never ending tidal wave of hatred towards this woman. I’m sorry if you are sick of hearing this however perhaps if the hate brigade ceased long enough the opposing parties would too. It’s so boring. It’s so negative. She is not hurting you.

There is no "hate brigade". That's absolute nonsense, a twisted narrative. The majority of the discussions here are intelligent, interesting and informed, until the Meghan fans wade in to tell us how horrible we are to this poor innocent woman. That poor woman whom we are only discussing because she lives her life in the public eye. Is criticism of Harry ok?

Do you wade in to defend the Kardashians? Katie Price? Kerry Katona? Rachel Reeves? Liz Truss?

I am willing to bet she would prefer being talked about to being ignored.

If anything is "negative", it's the constant round of criticism when people are discussing affiliated royals who live a public life and share information about their endeavours with the wider world. That is so boring. So many lively discussions get derailed and it's frustrating. Of course she's not "hurting" me. She doesn't need to "hurt" anyone! You must surely see that her activities are casually fascinating! We're not "hurting" anyone by discussing her!

If you have anything of consequence to add in terms of supporting your point, then please do that. The attacks on posters is beyond tedious.

If MM doesn't want to be talked about, then she needs to disappear back into the obscurity she emerged from, with the untold wealth that she has now accessed through her marriage and which she never would have sniffed at had she not married a prince. Her choice.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/03/2025 20:19

Of course there wouldn't! Nobody would know anything about her. She'd be living quietly and privately and while they have enormous entertainment value, I wish they would do just that!

This simply isn’t true. There were plenty of ridiculous stories appearing about Meghan appearing in the press when she and H first moved to USA when they weren’t doing much at all in public. Harry had to issue a warming about privacy and the paps when they were just going out on a dog walk.

AtIusvue · 25/03/2025 20:46

The foundation she is recommending for commission- is the make up brand of her friend Victoria Jackson (she also has other friends products on the page)

….but the link is to it’s Amazon shop!

She’s making commissions on by linking to Amazon shops! Oh Meghan, please stop doing this to yourself, it’s so cringe.

They were never papped when out walking in the UK. If he had a problem with Canada/USA he should have taken it up with the authorities there. Perhaps improved security?

Some people don't understand what the role of Head of State entails, or that all nations have them. Or that they all cost money!

You need to watch some Horrible Histories!

And there you go again, making derogatory personal remarks about posters' lives instead of posting anything of actual substance or adding to the discussion.

I’ve no idea why you’re bringing tabloid celebs into this debate but in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt ‘small minds discuss people’. I’ll leave you to it.

This ⬆️.

MrsLeonFarrell · 25/03/2025 21:03

I wish she'd linked the black nail varnish she used when a royal, I liked that colour. But it's just more beige.

StartupRepair · 25/03/2025 21:05

For me the most revealing comment was Meghan (allegedly) saying on the Australian tour 'I can't believe I'm not being paid for this'.
It's always been about the money and the opportunity to merch.

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/03/2025 21:05

Well I've no idea why you keep trying to insult, and I couldn't be bothered to care.

It's perfectly clear that MM is behaving like a celeb with a royal title. If you can't see that then I will never be able to explain it to you, and I have no intention of trying. Rachel Reeves and Liz Truss are politicians, fyi.

Did Eleanor reserve her comments to the hoi polloi, or was she also referring to the numerous highly respected biographers out there?

MaturingCheeseball · 25/03/2025 21:06

It was proven that it was Meghan who called the paps to tell them she and Harry were holed up at Tyler Perry’s place. The LAPD had to reveal this.

Meghan did a “pap walk” out hiking (hiking! - as if!) in Canada and numerous other times in Montecito. I had never heard of “pap walks” before, but it makes sense. The handiness of paparazzi lurking in the bushes just when you are out wandering aesthetically around a farmer’s market or emerging in your best togs from a high-end restaurant…

In the age of social media and camera phones, there isn't much money in photos of random celebrities walking the dog or hiking up a hill. It's not worth a photographer's time to hang around all day on the off chance of some 'celebrity' popping out to Starbucks, so more often than not, these photos have been set up by the celebrity in question.

She's really throwing everything at the wall now, isn't she?

What's next? Birthday greeting calls?

I don't get how anyone can't see how desperate this looks. It's just random products that she gets a cut from. Amazon! Really?

So what? Charles had his Duchy brand. I'm not knowledgeable on the laws/etiquette behind royal titles and selling but why can't she sell overpriced crap like the rest of them?

The profits from the Duchy brand goes to charity and research into organic farming though

I don’t understand why you have to get personal with people involved in this discussion? Absolutely no need for it. You can debate all you likebut leave the personal comments out of it

Will the clothes all be eco friendly and provide fair wages to the people who make them?

Well there were reports earlier that the "ethical" handbag made in Rwanda retails for £712 on her site but the Rwandan women who make them get 10p per hour.

Thedom · 25/03/2025 21:26

She knows all about setting up pap walks and pap shots

There is that funny story of Meghan organising a paparazzi guy in London during her Suits time and before Harry, he didn't know who she was, but he took the job anyway, he was to take photos of Meghan going into a restaurant. He couldn't sell the photos as no one was interested. He finally sold the photos when she got together with Harry a few years later..

There is nothing more fascinating than people.
