This podcast just sounds like it will be really dull. Lots of Meghan talking about herself, and meaningless word salad soundbites and platitudes I’m sure .

The photo is trying so hard to convey her intelligent, serious businesswoman persona but then the spiel about the podcast is all about the fun! People can obviously be multifaceted but it is impossible to warm to someone who just seems to be trying on different characters until one sticks.

The podcast just feels premature, for this to work Meghan would need to be subordinate and absorb the knowledge of women with an actual business. I cannot see her playing this role, but tbh I'm not her audience I didn't listen to the Spotify podcasts.

I thought it had that vibe when the first insta post came out. It was the way she kept going on about her 'business' all the Huns do that.

Will she actually do the interviews this time round? Didn’t an assistant do them last time and she recorded her bits later?

How could it possible be a spoof, these are much needed skills, you're failing in life if you're not creating a celebratory ambiance, a ballon pump is optional, although no one like to struggle with inflating, I'd put this as beginners plus as those balloons need to be pumped to a uniform size. Although a sprinkling of dry flowers may cover up any lopsided balloons

Lavender essential oil
Method
Fill a wide shallow bowl with water.
Add 1-3 drops of lavender essential oil.
One by one, dunk the washcloths in the water, wringing out 75% of the moisture. You want them to remain damp, but not wet.
Roll or fold each towel as desired.
If using the same day, simply put it in a bowl or a plate in the fridge. If using in a day or two, place towels in a zip-top bag for future use in the fridge or freezer. Allow to chill for an hour or two.

Presumably she views herself as a female founder, high-powered business woman type. So she doesn’t need to learn, they’ll be talking about ‘tips in business’ or some such.

I’ll be annoyed if they talk about balancing work and life and not acknowledging the nannies, private chefs, personal trainers, etc. I want to hear from women who legitimately balance both and the struggle. I would relate to that.

I'm listening to a podcast of the producer of Drive to Survive which is a Netflix F1 show. The show is extremely clever and is mildly controversial, but over 7 years has brought new fans to the show from untapped markets. F1 has gone from niche sport to much more mainstream.

Drive to Survive was a huge part of this so NF know how to market things. The important part is having likeable personalities. The bloke didn't mention anything about it being 'fun'. It is, it's not a serious watch. They have amazing access to the drivers and crew.

I would love to hear a non People interview from the crew on WLM. I doubt we will get it with all the NDAs.

Previous posters have already predicted all the likely issues with Meghan's new podcast. She lacks access to big hitters, credibility and likability. She also isn't 'fun' and just because you say it doesn't mean it is.

How can she be a business woman when she hasn’t sold anything ? Not even a packet of cake mix ?

Exactly.

Of course in the real world people are contradictory and inconsistent, but if you're trying to establish a 'brand' you've got to put out a very clear image for public 'consumption'. So yes, within two weeks she's gone from charming hostess with the mostest who all her friends adore, to hard nosed besuited 'girl boss'.

What's worse is that neither of these personas align with what we've learned about Meghan over the past 7 years. And before someone comes along and shouts about 'the media', this is not because of nasty tabloid stories, but from her observable actions.

This podcast sounds very boring and bland. The podcast market is saturated so you really have to find your niche if you're to get a loyal audience. I'm not sure what the intended audience is here.

I too thought it was a joke. The Girl Boss thing is ridiculous and the whole palaver seems like the plot of a Reece Witherspoon comedy.

Is she going to say that her hippy-dippy persona of With Love, Meghan is not actually her? Like when Lorraine Kelly said she’s not Lorraine (for tax purposes)?

to be honest if I was Lorraine Kelly I would deny being her as well!

Half the problem is that she just expects everyone to be enthralled with what she does. She doesn’t even think about things like who here intended audience are. She doesn’t seem to do any basic research. It’s difficult to be a success in business without doing the basics. This seems to be her MO however

She’s a businesswoman in the same universe that H is a global leader or aviation legend.

The legend of aviation ! 😂 Things move so fast with those two that we need recaps for every episode. Just this year we’ve had a literal embarrassment of riches - the LA Fires appearance and the Billy Eilish t-shirt have already faded from view.
