There s a 20-minute edit on YouTube. Nothing new in it. Knauf emphasises the 'familyfirst' message for William and Catherine and is the soul of discretion on Harry and Meghan.

I watched it . He came across well. Talked about the importance of family for W and K and said that they are the same in private as in public. Chose his words carefully re H and M.. said he had had some lovely times with them and wished them well.

He seems a genuinely lovely and fair man.

However, the documentary leaves viewers hanging with a pressing question—will Harry’s role change once William becomes King?

What role? He hasn't got a role. And it could be 10-15 years before W becomes king. No-one can say what might happen then. The Wales children will be grown up and H will be irrelevant, if not entirely forgotten

I agree. I doubt William will be the one who enables him to rejoin the family, assuming that's what Harry wants which i doubt. Catherine might encourage a private reconciliation but that isn't a public role.

Harry will have no role, that is his choice. He decided to make money by invading the privacy of his loved ones and sharing confidences and betraying trust.
He'll just be the useful idiot juggling outside the window, or allowing Invictus to be used as a personal platform for his wife.

I doubt there will be anything serious in it.

He has to balance his employability in future with the amount he's paid for the interview, and he's not so daft as to do a hatchet job on H&M whilst leaving W&K unscathed (however one sided the truth likely is, I wouldn't buy that W&K were whiter than white).

I imagine what he says will be either anodyne or obvious.

For example, "oh, believe it or not, the fact his father and wife both had cancer really got him down".

Although Jason is very diplomatic in what he says , it does mean that the bullying row is reignited .

I've on buy seen the 20 minute clip on YT. But I have watched the review by Shauna of the Vintage Read, an Australian who watched the whole thing as broadcast. What she says about it sounds pretty fair and balanced. Including that the interview would have had William's approval.

From what she says, I don't think there are any great revelations. All JK says about Harry is that he wishes them well. She interprets what he says as drawing a line under H&M as ever again being royals within the fold/inner circle, but they will remain as non working royals doing their own thing, and will retain their titles.

The only people who want Harry and Meghan to become working royals again are the press. Then they can write endless articles comparing Meghan and Catherine and stir up trouble for clicks. They are running out of material as things stand.

Or their fans who clearly admire their royal status.

Havent seen the interview only reviews and discussions and it strikes me as focusing on PW and PH relationship and the sadness of that collapsing.

Could this be an attempt to communicate about PW's wish to reconcile with PH without MM?

There seems to be a few articles / interviews at the moment which are serving to highlight the estrangement/ bullying allegations etc. The DM today has an item about the event the 4 of them did together before H and M were married where it was clear there were tensions .
Maybe not the sort of stuff Meghan wants to read a few days before her show launches.,

I read an interesting opinion yesterday that hadn’t occurred to me. That Jason Knauf would have had Prince William’s approval to do 60minutes and to talk about him.

I think this is likely. Knauf is still connected to William as he is on the Board of Trustees of Earthshot,

I think its odd that JK can talk openly and with confidence about PW's emotional state over the past 12 months when he left his employment a few years back?

JK is on the board of trustees for Earthshot, so he's still working with William.

He said William phoned him to tell him about Catherine’s cancer - so he knew before the public announcement - suggests he’s still fairly close.

Ahh I see. Agree he must have had prior approval to make comments about PW and it sounds like he was very careful to be warm and positive about H&M and not risk any issues. Was there anything to read into an opportunity for a reconcilation between the brothers - even if is only to indicate hatchets are buried?

I cannot envisage any reconciliation whilst Meghan is still on the scene.

Could it be a 'thawing' or even a 'plateau'?

Do you think they blame MM more that him?

Arguably PH has done more damage publicly - they both did OW and NF - but PH did Spare and all the promo interviews alone.

Although MM may have caused much more distress behind the scenes by bullying BP family and staff.

Maybe they want to build a relationship with A & L and reconnect with PH in private - leaving MM out of the picture - many families end up functioning like this - where the IL doesnt visit etc

I've wondered before whether it was C&W who pulled back from the "fab four" when the other two were keen to continue doing things as a four. That would explain the resentment towards them from H&M.
