I completely agree with Meghan’s confusing personal brand. It’s highlighted by the cranking up of the promotional pieces to support WLM that are coming out now. Like this piece in Page Six, which starts off with this quote:
“Nobody knows who she really is,” said a TV insider who has had a glimpse at the show. “[The world] created this image of who they think she is.”
If Meghan hasn’t shown us her who she really is now, after the Tom Bradbury interview, Oprah, several hours of the Netflix documentary, her podcast, her various magazine articles and Harry’s account of her in Spare, I genuinely think that’s on her, not her audience. Few other public figures have had that kind of intensive coverage, led entirely by her.
It smacks is of her not yet having hit on a persona that people find compelling and likeable, not that she hasn’t yet shown us her authentic self.
