Really? There were certainly lots of rumours about his affairs shortly after his marriage in tge the reasonably posh set I was part of. But obviously there are aways rumours. Diana was certainly going off the rails in the time leading up to her death. Which is a shame. If you weren't there, it's impossible to imagine the impact she had on the societal view of HIV/AIDS at the time.

I struggle to think of anyone in the public eye who has ever come across as so consistently insincere and fake. I'm quite prepared to believe she is at least slightly more genuine than she comes across. I think she is awkward and probably neuro diverse as well as an inauthentic, shallow, vapid mean-girl.

Its a serious handicap and I wonder how much Harry sees it and what he thinks. Love is blind to an extent but as the years of marriage roll by we see our spouse with much clearer eyes. I know, 18 years in, I am very aware of my husbands faults and character weaknesses. However if that love endures and the marriage is happy then we tend to see the faults through a largely indulgent, affectionate lense (apart from those moments when we feel pure rage!)
That is my experience at least.

No ones spouse is perfect and we can all put up with different shortcomings, however I would find it incredibly hard to be married to someone with Meghan's phoney, grating, smug manner. One would have to be much more strikingly beautiful than she is to be able to transcend such a stinker of a personality and penchant for showing herself up, IMO. I don't understand the Wallace Simpson comparisons, someone who was known for her impeccable style and by all accounts had a serious amount of charm and sex appeal.. quite possibly Anne Boleyn was cut from similar cloth. Meghan is entirely different, much prettier than WS or AB but entirely lacking in all other respects other than a certain low cunning perhaps.

Absolutely agree with this. Whatever else is and will be said about her this was important and influential.

Apparently people were surprised that at meetings about her causes, the self declared "thicko" was actually extremely well informed about them and had really done detailed research. I do think she cared.

However while we're not there to know, I don't imagine she's quite so grating with Harry ... or maybe his painfully clear limitations mean takes her obvious playacting for the real deal on the basis of wanting/needing to believe it

I honestly hope they're happy and remain so. I do think though that if there was a split it would be instigated by her and it would be very destructive for him. He's invested pretty much everything and broken off from his family, his birth country and any sort of life he knew. This is entirely on him, his choices as a grown man, but I don't think it would be easy or amicable at all.

A bit of me thinks that the escalation of the negative coverage, some from very unexpected sources, will put a lot of strain on a situation that is already heavily and unhealthily leavened with mutual victimhood. Also @MaggieMistletoe is quite right, after the first flush it is crucial that your partners faults are ones you can live with.

Sometimes I have to go in and out many times before the images link! 🙄 and not to sound to cloak and dagger.. but I get my information from sources that I would not wish to post on here! 🤣

As for the "be kind" thing it's not just limited to Sussex supporters, it's regularly used to shut women up , on many topics which I won't go into here.
