Indeed @Thedom ! , but I've seen this rumour circulating in quite a few papers now!
Putting out feelers ?
Judging the mood?
A threat?
Or complete bollocks? 🤔

Mightymoog · 20/02/2025 10:56

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 10:38

oh I really really hope they do this.

Mylovelygreendress · 20/02/2025 10:57

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 10:38

OMG ! < checks stocks of popcorn and wine>

MissFenellaPrism · 20/02/2025 10:59

They are sooooooo entertaining 😂

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:01

Yes @Mightymoog and @Mylovelygreendress , it certainly would be entertaining if they tried to sue a sitting president, in a country who practices freedom of speech, for exercising his right by referring to Meghan as terrible! 🤣🤣

Now I can believe Harry is stupid enough to try but surely Meghan as an American and their solicitors would know this would be suicidal?!

LaMarschallin · 20/02/2025 11:02

I'm sure they'll have thought of it but I bet they won't.
Be fascinating though, especially as all three of them seem to have equally thin skins.

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:04

I'm no trump fan @LaMarschallin but he's been known to come out with zingers!
And he doesn't have a filter when riled!
It would be very entertaining!

dorathexplorer · 20/02/2025 11:09

"Terrible" is actually a compliment for Meghan 😂

.

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:11

Yes I thought so @dorathexplorer , I thought for trump it was actually a quite restrained and considered comment!
He could have said much , much worse!

MrsLeonFarrell · 20/02/2025 11:20

I don't think they will sue because they move in circles with no respect for Trump. What's more interesting is the lack of a "sue" narrative around the bullying articles.

MissRoseDurward · 20/02/2025 09:35

The wafting around in a white dress puts me in mind of the Cadbury's Flake ad, c.1985. I think the Timotei girl also wafted in white, similar vintage.

You don't need an expensive PR or marketing consultant to tell you that it's a good idea to check that someone isn't already using the name you want to use. When I was planning to self publish on Amazon, it took all of two minutes to check that no-one else was using the pen name I had chosen. I have no marketing background or expertise.

I think its a form of arrogance and very much in line with narcissistic personality disorder. She doesn't check if anyone else is using the name because the assumption is that she can have whatever she wants, everyone else needs to just get out of the way.

and the divorce book, not a whimper about suing over that pronouncement. 🤔

I don't actually believe that story but it is interesting that they haven't sent out 'sources' to debunk it. Maybe they are running out of money for trivial pr fights?

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:25

Of course it could just all be the famous ... look a squirrel 🐿️ manoeuvre... in an attempt to draw attention away from all those other things?!
People do have short memories about headlines!

Maybe the lavish PDAs at Invictus were supposed to dispel that? She appeared to be a very loving and passive wife.

I can sort of understand Harry having that attitude having spent all his life in the RF where staff attended to his every whim . But Meghan had about 35 years of “ ordinary “ life . As a hustling actress ( nothing wrong with that) she must have been used to the word no . It seems that marrying Harry she never thought she would hear the word no again .

Maybe. If so, once again I'm going to bang my 'Dear Meghan i think you would be more successful being yourself and not worrying about manufacturing an image' drum.

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:28

Yes that attitude from married woman is rife in all walks of life sadly, when my dh was still in the forces a surprisingly large percentage of the wife's apparently married their husbands rank!! 🙄
@Mylovelygreendress.

The only positive thing I can think of about this is that it’s at least better than how Will Smith dealt with his wife being bad mouthed!

Other than that….are they completely crazy?! Entitled, arrogant, litigious fools if this is true (and to be honest, my verdict of them still stands if it isn’t true!)

Also, as others have rightly pointed out, it validates all of the other things that have been printed and published that they haven’t sued for. Claims that are way more damaging.

They really are the gift that keeps giving.

KingTutting · 20/02/2025 11:50

I unfortunately worked for a narc. She would come up with ideas for projects, it would be explained we’d done it before/didn’t work. But she would force it though, be obsessed with the ‘look’ of things, no practical detail. Of course it would be a disaster.
she wouldn’t care. Always someone else to blame. She just thought her ideas were amazing so that was her bit done.

jeffgoldblum · 20/02/2025 11:52

I think Meghan really thought that marrying Harry took her to the pinnacle!
But unfortunately she vastly overestimated her countrymen's interest and deference to a foreign monarchy!

I also think that she thought she would fit seamlessly into a "new Diana" slot. I'm sure she knew quite a bit about her but being of a different generation didn't understand the lengthy and often difficult road that lead to her having level of global superstardom.

But I think they would be more interested if she was part of a foreign monarchy.

Plus, Diana's star was fading quite quickly in the years before her death. What really launched her into immortality was her death.

Meghan is experiencing the usual ups and downs of life as a public figure.
