I don't think we're done talking - and I never start threads!

As you were!

@JoyousGreyOrca it doesn't matter about the definitions, you still can't say what Harry viewed as accountability

IcedPurple · 25/01/2025 22:59

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:53

As my late granny used to say, there's people who would argue a black crow was white! 😂

I mean, it's right there in black and white.

Straight from the CHIMPO's mouth.

Why would he contrast himself with people who 'had to settle' if he had every intention of doing the same thing?

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:59

JoyousGreyOrca · 25/01/2025 22:58

And if Charles did offer Harry millions, I expect to see him saying this to the press

Why?

The tabloid newspapers can create whatever narrative they want. It doesn't mean the children will fall in line with it!

In the last 5 years, I think there's been enough of his own direct words and deeds to have an opinion of his behaviour.

There are other newspapers than NGN also!

The tabloid newspapers can create whatever narrative they want. It doesn't mean the children will fall in line with it!

True.

Falling out of line with it is a large part of why PH wrote his memoir. He wanted his version of his life on the record.

JoyousGreyOrca · 25/01/2025 23:00

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:57

'Accountability' implies justice and punishment, otherwise what is the bloody point?!!

Unlike you, I don't need to look the words up in a dictionary!

No accountability does not necessarily lead to punishment.
A child can admit they stole something and so be accountable, but the parent decides not to punish them.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 25/01/2025 23:00

JoyousGreyOrca · 25/01/2025 22:49

@BigWillyLittleTodger Oh come on! He is not that thick. His father will not even meet him. Why would he give him millions and millions of pounds

Maybe not thick, but entitled and naive enough to think someone else will foot the bill, as always. Daddy wouldn’t want him to have to sell his McMansion, surely not! or would he……...🤔 maybe the penny has finally dropped that he’s made his own bed and he can go and lie in it, the bank of Daddy is firmly shut.

True.

Falling out of line with it is a large part of why PH wrote his memoir. He wanted his version of his life on the record.

That’s worked out well for him.

andIsaid · 25/01/2025 23:02

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:42

Nonsense, that's been part of the narrative over the course of many threads here!

Harry seems to behave too as if his mother was exclusive to him, with his oft repeated references to her.

Ah - my misunderstanding.

I thought you were talking about this specific thread - apologies.

JoyousGreyOrca · 25/01/2025 23:02

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:59

Why?

You are asking me to believe a random tweet. Bloody meaningless

andIsaid · 25/01/2025 23:04

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:45

WTAF are you talking about? That doesn't even make sense?

Most of us wanted NGN held responsible for their awful behaviour. Harry said he was the knight in shining armour who would achieve that. He didn't. So we and Harry were on the 'same side' in wanting accountability, but that didn't happen.

So where else would you be "looking for accountability"???

NGN did not win either? Unless you count the continued concealment of their nefarious activities as a "win"!!!

Are you getting aggressive with me or heated about the subject matter?

andIsaid · 25/01/2025 23:06

FromTheOfficeOfJammyTodger · 25/01/2025 22:49

Well if that's the case*, then he failed those 1300 other people, didn't he. NGN only apologised to him and Tom Watson. Not to anybody else. Where's their apology? Where is their closure?

which it blatantly isn't, he wanted his day in court and for actual, named bigwigs at NGN to be held accountable on the evidence put before the judge, with a court order in his favour naming them responsible for illegal activity.

Edited

then he failed those 1300 other people, didn't he.

You are looking in wrong place.

NGN failed those 1,300 people.

NGN used their economic power against them and shut them down.

JoyousGreyOrca · 25/01/2025 23:06

Harry did not say he was the knight in shining armour. So much being repeated that is just untrue.

andIsaid · 25/01/2025 23:08

mainecooncatonahottinroof · 25/01/2025 22:49

So what? It's only press bullshit and based on the small amount of time they're seen in public.

The media won't define them!

It will in the public eye.

And there will threads in the future that will discuss the content of their character based on all we see from when they first written about.

In fairness, someone like you won't make assumptions, obviously.

You will be able to see beyond the headlines and deduce.

But cannot and most will.

He did repeatedly state the he wanted the case to go to trial

Bet you are having a whale of a time, though!

Not that clever calling out that poster like that.

It looks like a ganging up.

Not cool.

And it would have been better for him if it had not. Nobody needed to know about his frozen todger, or how he hogged all the gas and air when Meghan was giving birth!

Thanks. Pretty common, They did it yesterday as well. I guess they are trying to chase anyone who disagrees with them, off the board.

What "random tweet"? What are you talking about?

You said that Harry would have made it public if his father had helped him financially. I asked you why you thought that?

NGN failed those 1,300 people.

NGN used their economic power against them and shut them down.

That's not failing them though, is it? NGN didn't make promises to them to allow them to go to court and sue NGN and hold NGN accountable.

Whereas Harry said he was going the whole way on behalf of all the others. To get accountability and closure for the others. He made that pledge and he failed.

Not that clever deflecting when you have no argument, either.

Not really a suitable analogy is it?

We're not talking about pulling the cat's whiskers here!

I did not say that. Please stop continually lying about what I have said.

The random tweet was one posted claiming that Harry had asked Charles for millions to pay legal costs. It is a random tweet from a random person.

IcedPurple · 25/01/2025 23:14

IAmATorturedPoet · 25/01/2025 23:09

😂😂 The irony

He also got ticked off by the judge for trying to shoehorn in 'trophy targets' like Murdoch and attempting to turn the case into 'an inquiry'.

He absolutely wanted this to go all the way. And beyond.
