Just seen on Sky News. Breaking News headlines. Delayed because of the wild fires didn't say if this was technical difficulties or it would be a bit crass to launch a frothy type lifestyle show with all the devastation. Anyway it might be shelved for good with any luck.

Im confused by Harrys hair, in some photos he has a full head of hair and others he looks nearly bald.

This photo wasn't photoshopped. The dogs are the main focus, not Harry.

Hughs · 22/01/2025 18:50

The Daenerys thing has to be a parody / piss take, surely? 😂
I mean that's so far down the road to looniness, it's almost certifiable 🐲🤪

He's more like Joffrey or Robin Arryn imo.

From the NYT:

‘The Trump administration has indicated that it plans to harness various tools to restrict those who seek legal entry into the country. Mr. Trump has long supported changes to what is called the “public charge” rule, which would deny entry into the United States if a potential immigrant is likely to need to use public services like food or housing assistance’

or a public service like using the police to give you extra security, like outriders when in NYC etc?

It will be interesting to know if Harry is scared to leave the US for fear of not being allowed back in. That might make it tricky for him to go to Canada for Invictus. On the plus side, he's got a great excuse for not being dragged off to be a spare part in one of Meghan's faux royal tours.

WeCantGoOverIt · 22/01/2025 22:30

I doubt Trump will be that interested in Harry. There are bigger fish to fry in terms of pressuring the UK Government.

Atlasvue · 22/01/2025 22:45

Harry has no sway with the British government or the RF, would be out there on his own- they wouldn’t get involved.

I could believe there might be backroom talks if Harry were extradited and his children stayed meaning Harry couldn’t see them.

Trump can't kick Meghan out of the US (unless he thinks we're living in the year 1893 or whatever year his brain is currently orbiting and he is under the impression that American women lose their citizenship when marrying a British man.... which apparently did use to be the case)

He could get unpleasant over Harry and Harry's just the sort he'd naturally loathe. As mentioned upthread, there is a lot of unpleasant Anglophobia brewing right now in the US (and not just among the obviously Trumpian people). If Harry got kicked out of the US, the Hague Convention would prevent his taking the kids back to the UK (I wish people who move overseas "for an adventure" with their family would realize this?). I am a Labour voter but Starmer does seem to have a serious case of "lawyer brain," and would never seek to ignore or go against Hague for Harry's sake. Meghan would find all sorts of reasons to insist that she couldn't send the children over to the UK during school holidays for visits. He needs to be very careful.

I hope the marriage lasts for the above reasons, as I've seen international marriages go tits-up (I'm in an international marriage myself) and they are utterly depressing personal tragedies to witness, in so many cases. A ding-dong over Harry could also inflame the already volatile state of transatlatic relations.

EdithWeston · 24/01/2025 12:47

I don't think Trump will do anything about Harry's visa, unless something happens to put the Sussexes in the news at a time when Trump wants a useful idiot of that kind.

If (big if) that came to pass, then I think they'd go to Canada (especially if the bills for Montecito become too onerous) because then they could portray a (downsizing) move as being necessary for family unity.

Trump can't do anything about removing citizenship, and therefore right of abode, from Meghan and the DC. One thing he could do would be to completely prohibit the use of foreign titles by US citizens in any commercial or charitable endeavour and in publications. (Posts on social media count as publications).

MrsLeonFarrell · 24/01/2025 16:01

I don't think Harry is significant in terms of Trump's political focus so he won't get any attention good or bad. Which is fortunate for him because Trump is not a nice person.

I didn’t know that . So does this mean that The Office of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex might close ??

pelargoniums · 24/01/2025 18:18

Maybe they could do a Prince (fitting!) and call it The Office Formerly Known as the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex

Vespanest · 26/01/2025 18:47

I can't see Trump doing anything negative towards Harry but equally I cannot see Trump protecting Harry if his Visa row resurfaces.

Alarmclockstop · 26/01/2025 20:12

Problem with Trump is, no one knows. If he gets a bee in his bonnet anything is possible.

itsstillmehere · 30/01/2025 19:22

And now it's not even mentioned in the new line up. Let's be honest though it's small time fluff stuff. It's not a major player.

Jacquette · 30/01/2025 22:30

I think some of you are underestimating Meghan’s ability to draw an audience. I’m having to watch commercial tv at the moment because my home internet is down. The channel I was watching showed a promo for SUITS LA and the promo led with ‘SUITS was the most watched streamed tv show the US in 2023’. That is a popular show. Of course this is not wholly due to Meghan obviously, but she definitely draws and maintains interest.

At any rate we will see how popular or not her new show will be.

jeffgoldblum · 30/01/2025 23:12

No underestimation here , no interest in suits The only reason I would watch would be Gina Torres who I loved in firefly , sadly any views will be either die hard fans , hate watchers or flippers.

What ability does Meghan have "to draw an audience"??

jeffgoldblum · 30/01/2025 23:25

No idea @wigsonthegreenandhatsforthelifting ! I was an avid watcher of fringe ( life saver when up all night with my son ) apparently Meghan had a bit part in it !!!! Was news to me , didn't notice her , didn't remember her even after her marriage to Harry , obviously didn't stand out .

wigsonthegreenandhatsforthelifting · 30/01/2025 23:30

I'd never heard of her until she got with Harry!

jeffgoldblum · 30/01/2025 23:32

Me neither! And I was a bit slow on the uptake because I don't normally follow the royals ( until the shit hit the fan !) never watched a royal wedding, was blissfully unaware!

Alarmclockstop · 30/01/2025 23:45

Well Harvey from Suits has got 3.4 million followers compared with Meghan's 1.6 so I'm not convinced who is the 'pull'

The streamed amount is also worked out on hours, which can inflate the interest. Lots of people watching for a short time isn't the same as people buying into a series.

I imagine the first episode of Love Meghan will have high viewing figures, but that in itself will not equate to success.

Ditto and yet I had someone on here recently who couldn't /wouldn't believe that I had never heard of her or Suits. She was suggesting I was lying.

OMG nobody had ever heard of her before she got with Harry - very few folks in the UK would have watched Suits!
