Netflix has delayed start of Meghans show

Just seen on Sky News. Breaking News headlines. Delayed because of the wild fires didn't say if this was technical difficulties or it would be a bit crass to launch a frothy type lifestyle show with all the devastation. Anyway it might be shelved for good with any luck.

Indeed . It was reported at the time that Meghan was furious that she was not allowed to attend .
The reason Harry accompanied Rose was because her husband was on official duty .

Has Meghan ever attended a state banquet. I don't recall seeing photos of her in sash and tiara.

No, she didn't attend the Trump one as she was on maternity leave.

She wasn't there long enough to attend one. There may have been one whilst she was on maternity leave (for Trump iirc) but other than that she wasn't around for one.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 19/01/2025 16:09

Agree he will never ever leave her no matter what she does, her on the other hand will drop him like a stone if it’s to her advantage, won’t be anytime soon though, she will wait until the handouts from Charles stop and the inheritances that have been given to Harry are safely in the bank account

There's also California's 10 year rule to bear in mind, @Wanttoadoptadog; it varies according to circumstances, but is basically when their courts can order alimony to be paid on a longer term basis rather than for a limited period

BemusedAmerican · 19/01/2025 16:13

Many of the posters that I suspected were SS would end their post series with a signoff statement. This made me wonder if they were on a clock.

There was a pro-Sussex poster named Juanito who used to post on the NY Post. One day they did lots of posts. Another poster asked why, and Juanito said they had car payments due. They disappeared soon afterwards. You will still see the odd Juanito joke in the Post

It’s not bullying you at all! It’s asking g you a question. I e seen a lot of your comments on various posts and you are not backwards in coming forwards with your comments about other people.

So ask but that doesn't mean you are owed a response. Great you get one, if you don't so what. I don't need to be on here declaring my views on bullying. Because on here doing so is only to show others that you part of the group that all think the same. To me, it comes across like being back in school where you either with the in crowd or not. At my age I'm not going to participate in that. Besides why do you need to have me say it?

Ask it once don't go on to keep asking that is harassment.

You are right, of course. I don't. Nobody is "bullying you" - don't be so wet!

Equally you cannot expect posters not to draw their own conclusions when another poster steadfastly refuses to condemn bullying.

I don't need to make statements on social menai to strangers just to be part of a discussion. You conclude what you like you don't know what I've experienced in my life. I don't need to make performative statements just to appease a stranger.

I tend to ignore your posts so you won’t get any harassment from me. But I do wonder what you’re doing here if you don’t want to engage with anyone?

Edited to say I seem to have linked the wrong post but you know to which one I’m referring.

I don't engage with people in the discussion you just don't like i won't post comments criticising them or making performative statements about my views.

I'll post on what I want to, when I want and what I what to say. As is everyone else's right to do on any social media platform.

itsstillmehere · 19/01/2025 16:40

@CoffeeCantata your last post is spot on. The followers are often disillusioned women - we see them after all posing with Harry at times eg in Nigeria and Germany. They see Meghan's " achievements" as a high five for their race.

wigsonthegreenandhatsforthelifting · 19/01/2025 16:53

Spectre8 · 19/01/2025 01:06

Don't be so wet? How childish. You're the one demanding I respond to you when I refuse to you then saying I'm this or that. And you still go on. Yeah it's starting to feel like bullying. I've asked posters questions before they haven't responded I don't go repeatedly demanding a response.

As I said I won't be told what to do. I'm not going to say it because your demanding it from me? Stop harassing me to say something. I'll say it when I want to say it on my own free will not because some stranger tells me to.

Edited

Tad ironic that you pull the "bullying" card when you refuse to condemn bullying.

Very selective.

Meghan, had she attended a formal evening event with a tiara dress code would have worn one, but she wouldn’t have worn a sash. They represent a personal gift from the Monarch, and don’t tend to be instantaneous.

Kate for example was awarded her sash (the Royal Victorian order on her eighth wedding anniversary. Sophie was awarded hers 11years after her marriage - though I think nominally it was to mark her 45th birthday.

@Spectre8 you must have put in thousands and thousands of hours of your life on here by now defending the increasingly indefensible pair. I honestly marvel at your unwavering single-minded championing of them. They absolutely should be paying you.

Pretty sure Meghan will only release a book if/ when they divorce if she and her DC can keep their titles .

Agree - I think she has too much to lose right now.

God help Harry though if they ever do split. She will be relentless, and I am sure she will have plenty to say!

I doubt she would be happy to wait even 8 years. The monarchy works on a much longer timescale than celebrity and I suspect that is yet another thing Harry didn't explain, or understand.

Igavebirthtoabanana · 19/01/2025 17:03

A long time ago, 20 years or so ago, I worked in an office. We got a new receptionist who at first was nice enough, bit bland maybe but seemed like a normal enough to get along with. About three weeks into her employment, the previous receptionist, who had left, got in touch with me to ask if any of the old crew wanted to go for some drinks after work. I asked around and about 4-5 people said they’ll come.

As the new receptionist had never met the old receptionist, it simply didn’t occur to me to ask her to join us. It wasn’t malicious, we were a very friendly office in general. When she heard about our drinks she went completely mental and took it as a some kind of great insult. After that incident she was awful to me, her demeanour changed completely, she got snide, made barbed comments, didn’t pass all the messages to me and managed to turn few of the older employees against me. I found out couple of years later that she had spread false rumours (apparently I was after their husbands) about me behind my back.

All this because she wasn’t invited to a meet up. Which was not nothing to do with her, she had been five minutes at the company and there were remaining 80 people who hadn’t been invited either so it wasn’t the case of her being singled out.

MM’s nuclear behaviour reminds me of her. Back then I was so naive, I had never come across anyone like that before. Someone with a complete personality change after a fairly mundane “incident”. I thought we had made up after me apologising 🙄 but she was on a war path from then on.

For me this is perhaps the most interesting thing about Harry and - especially - Meghan: the behaviour of their supporters. It's an endlessly fascinating study in human psychology, mass-hysteria, self-delusion, group-think, cult mentality etc etc.

It doesn't seem to matter WHAT the pair do - they are idolised by the Squad. And the tactics are fascinating (if depressing and horrible). As pps have said, there's now a predictable response to any attacks and revelations on H & M. Sometimes it's to launch an attack on the RF (esp Catherine and William), sometimes it's the 'bingo card' of why do you care, you don't know them, the 'r' word and the lols. This time it appears to be 'keep schtumm', which is interesting and probably is the best thing they can do in the circs - but pretty much shows their desperation and bankruptcy of ideas/defences.

Being an extreme Sussex supporter has every characteristic of being in a cult. I look on Celebitchy occasionally (for research purposes only, you understand -it's vile) and the attitudes there are bizarre and quite disturbing. They refuse to expose themselves to anything critical of the pair and believe everything is a Royal Family-derived conspiracy. They think Catherine's visit to the Royal Marsden was arranged to deflect attention from Meghan's bloody cooking show! They are utterly deluded and in some cases, very sick people. I hope for the sake of us all that they represent a tiny, tiny proportion of the population.

I really do hope so. It beggars belief.

However I have cut short conversations IRL with friends/colleagues where if you criticise in the mildest way you get, "oh no, I love Meghan and Harry"!!!

Now I realise that most punters don't have the level of detail about their behaviour that gets discussed for example here, but it's beyond me to understand, what is their pull?!! The more we learn about their behaviour, the worse it gets!

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Charles gets his daily news update 😃

Or sitting around the table at the Middletons when another Sussex PR assault hits. They must detest Harry and Meghan, I would never forgive someone who did to my daughter and her young family, what H&M did to Catherine, William and their kids. I think I would be really vengeful somehow, I would savour every second of their downfall. The Middletons are a lesson in discretion and class.

I imagine there might be some latent, historical affection towards Harry even if the family is angry about what he has said and done.

However, they must all despise Meghan and wish Harry had never met her.

Also, so many posters refuse to admit to being Sussex Squad or even be aware of the network. Yet, they constantly give themselves away. Like the poster questioning the photos and even shoes Catherine wore to the baby bank engagement and then posting the same rhetoric about her cancer battle…..they eventually out themselves.

I note that particular query has never had a response either!

Spectre8 has been posting here for a long time and very regularly. She’s a long time member of this forum and unlike me she does not come and go and name change when she does.

She has repeatedly said she won’t be pushed into answering. It’s starting to look like a bunch of people are piling on her.

It looks like nothing of the kind.

She was asked a question. Nothing else.

I can't remember the source of this idea, but it's not a new one - as these threads will testify!

The lovely Giles Coren (ugh) started the affair rumour on social media. But, very suspiciously, he was just back from a weekend at Soho House where he'd been in a party containing a very disgruntled Meghan Markle (in the wake of the banquet to which she hadn't been invited and Harry sat next to Rose). I'll say no more than that! I can't honestly think why Giles Coren would give a hoot about this matter himself.

Another allegation - I think from Tom Bower (apologies for being so lazy on this freezing afternoon that I'm making no effort to check sources etc) is that the Middleton family invited Meghan more than once to their home but both/all the invitations were declined. Apparently they also invited Meghan and Doria to stay with them before the wedding but this again was declined.

Obviously Meghan and Doria might have had very good reasons for being based elsewhere on the eve of the wedding but I mention these things to point out that Catherine and the Middletons did reach out to Meghan and try to welcome her. Tom Bower suggests that it didn't serve Meghan's purpose in many ways to become friendly with them - it didn't fit with the victim narrative or the racism, for a start.

I didn't know that - how very kind of them!

So much for Meghan getting the big family she had "always wanted" - she was ungracious and rejected just about all overtures that were made to her, including invitations to Balmoral, support from the Duchess of Edinburgh, and Lady Susan Hussey... She never had the faintest intention of being part of it all did she! She was always heading back to California with that twit Harry in tow!

Aren't the pieces all coming together?!

Not sure but Victoria Arbiter certainly alluded to it being the case in her statement that I posted this morning. She is definitely in the know.
