Meghan came along at the right time and serves as a dimwitted DETOUR keeping the focus far, far away from PA. He's a disgusting lowlife entitled little prick and should feck off out of the public eye for good. He will never be exposed.

I was beginning to think I was on the wrong thread.
Apart from the last comment above there has been no mention of Andrew for several pages.
Are we going to discuss him?

I did try to get it back on track on the previous page and pointed out that the thread was about Andrew and not the Waleses but looks like no one took much notice!

An interesting article whereby a US attorney addresses Charles directly over Andrew

It's a good idea, if Charles was an absolute monarch, but he isn't, he's a constitutional monarch. He can't even get his brother out of Royal Lodge because he has a legal contract. There is no way Charles can get Andrew to face up to the consequences of his actions beyond what he has already done.

In the wider context though, why is it only Andrew's name we read in connection with Epstein? Why doesn't the lawyer go after some of the other high profile names? Is it because they would fight back?

Andrew is an entitled, arrogant, man who in all probability slept with a 17 year old when he was in his 40s which is disgusting and he should be ostracised from public life, as he has been. I do wonder though what is being hidden in the shadows by men with real power when the light is shone so brightly on Andrew. Those men are still getting away with it.

Extiainoiapeial · 25/02/2025 07:15

I agree. Andrew is an easy target, that's why he's such a fool, he was always going to be targeted but he's too stupid to realise that and instead has spent decades mixing with very dodgy people. And it goes on and on with him

We can handle the truth, and the public deserves the truth,” she asserted.

Very true Gloria, however, perhaps it’s better if you focus on your own back yard where the majority of these undesirable men come from rather than homing in on the only one that doesn’t.

Of course they all should be revealed and prosecuted. The truth is probably that no matter how disgusting, most of the other men implicated are people who have worked in successful businesses, know right from wrong (even when they were doing wrong, they knew it was wrong and acted accordingly) and know who and how to hide their wrongdoings. Andrew is arrogant and entitled and these people ( Epstein especially probably saw him coming a mile off) The others were busy covering their tracks and getting embroiled with people who would have too much to lose if they were exposed, whereas Andrew probably didn't even consider that being a Prince wouldn't be enough to protect him.

I’m fairly sure both you and @JoyousGreyOrca have been on the billion other threads where I have shared all the up locally available info about this.

It’s a complicated set up for establishing the budget each year - it seems to be set based on the year before the previous year’s spending.

The ‘it doesn’t reduce’ is because the amount that gets given back to the monarch to manage the royal household is based on a percentage of profits which could lead to a shortfall in the budget if the profits are suddenly down one year for some reason.

It there’s a continuous shortfall in profits or extra is needed for a specific project like the current BP building work then it’s up to the government to decide on increasing the percentage. If there’s a continuous excess then as mentioned the reserve fills up and the percentage can be adjusted downwards.

The PM and the Chancellor have the main oversight of all of this.

The percentage of profits paid can be reduced and has been recently due to the obscene profits made licensing wind farms situated on annexed sea beds.

The amount paid can never fall below a previously paid level thanks to the golden ratchet clause.

The royals are never out of pocket in either scenario.

Anything left over goes into a reserve which can and has been used to subsidise royal knees-ups like the coronations.

The SG isn't fit for purpose and should be replaced with a fixed sum debated annually in Parliament IMO.

CathyorClaire · 25/02/2025 10:13

Charles's coronation that is. Just the one. So far.

Charles won't say anything.

He's associated with and supported too many crims himself to put his head above the parapet on this one.

As an aside - Andrew driving another brand new fuck-off motor? 😡

He's trolling us isn't he? 😡

The Times latest financial revelations about Andrew make interesting reading. It implicates Andrew, Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie Beatrice and Zara Tindall.

CathyorClaire · 25/02/2025 20:01

Thanks, JoyousGreyOrca.

I think we may have had a discussion on this article up thread but it's definitely an interesting piece. I shall be looking forward to Andrew Lownie's book with interest.

I believe he has had many royal related FOI requests fobbed off too. Credit due to all who have the determination to keep trying to navigate the obstacles to transparency the royals strew in their way.

Extiainoiapeial · 28/02/2025 05:42

Here we go....
Flight logs
Contact book
Masseuse list

I haven't clicked on the links yet but I will. I can hear Andrew cursing from here ...
And let's see if it throws up the others .

Extiainoiapeial · 28/02/2025 07:23

A lot to see on the flight logs. The rest is hugely redacted. The word is this isn't uncovering much we don't know but there is more to be released.

I'm sure our Andy wishes it would all go away for good.

ThePoshUns · 28/02/2025 09:54

Johnnie Biden on the contact list?!

ThePoshUns · 28/02/2025 09:54

Boden even

Without a doubt, @Extiainoiapeial, though while it was expected I'm not impressed by all the redactions - and this in a nation which tends towards a greater expectation of disclosure

I can only imagine (but don't really want to) the representations that'll have been going on from the great but no so good, while they worried about what would be revealed ...

CathyorClaire · 28/02/2025 20:07

Thanks, Extiainoiapeial.

Lots of infuriating redactions but some interesting names popping up in the contacts list.

Is Charlie Althorp St Diana's brother? I'm guessing he must be.

CathyorClaire · 28/02/2025 20:17

PS I wonder if our dry pitted hero is starting to feel just a little moisture trickling into his shirt yet?

And oh dear, Andrew has ‘business’ troubles too …

The BBC reports today that his attempts to flog off ‘Pitch@Palace’ have floundered.

Reading the whole article, it does sound dodgy especially the funding from Bahrain, and surely all these contacts and possible entrepreneurs will have moved on from when Pitch@ was set up in 2014 and closed down a few years later.

Yes I though that too
