I don't agree about Sarah ignored because she's 65.

I think age is irrelevant. She wrote two poor me memoirs about life in the institution after all. Luckily for her, it was before social media.

And I agree @Spectre8 . Roast chicken engagement dinner from 7 years ago was talked about on here not long ago! So many posters want the couple to go away but they won't stop talking about them endlessly. And if Sarah is ever mentioned, the response is...well, there is nothing to say because we both know her and Andrew are awful. Surely you know/think harry and Meghan are too, so why keep writing about them and giving them clicks and the publicity you say they crave ?
Most odd

Serenster · 02/03/2025 12:58

You’ve just proved my point entirely - you were the one on the previous page to bring up Sarah’s current activities and also you’ve now brought up Sarah’s “two poor me memoirs about life in the institution”.

So why are you criticising other posters for talking about both Meghan’s current activities and her past ones? Why is it one rule for you and one for everyone else then?

Extiainoiapeial · 02/03/2025 13:12

Happy to oblige Serenster, happy to oblige. YOU brought up her book first, I followed up on it in the context of age and clicks/social media

Also I don't see thousands of threads (don't see any!) about her, unlike the gruesome twosome as they've been called. If they are so dreadful, why bang on about them 😂. That's not directed at you by the way, before you try to correct me again. I'm talking in general

P s. Sarah is still monetising her title, that's not old news

Neither do I, @Extiainoiapeial - not even on here, where ageism is the last type of discrimination allowed

IMO it's more likely to be the two cancer diagnoses which has brought about a certain "hands off", especially after what happened around Catherine

I agree with that now but Sarah was doing plenty of monetising her position before she was ill. It was rare to get much kickback on that anywhere.

That's true, Extiainoiapeial, and for that matter the same goes for the daughters

I totally get why they were left along while children and did the same myself, but their involvement in the middle east appears to be increasing now and there's much I'd like to know about that

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 02/03/2025 14:27

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with the York daughters…

Extiainoiapeial · 02/03/2025 14:37

Yes I am very curious about it too. They made a lot of visits out there and many more planned, suddenly Andrew can stump up some repair money for his Royal estate. Funny that ...

They are referred to as 'unofficial UK ambassadors to the Middle East' . Saudi, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Doha, Qatar...one or other of them are over there a lot actively networking and speaking at a World Economic Forum. Like father like daughters undoubtedly 😮
I wonder who is paying for their travel? Those oligarchs and sheikhs they've hooked up with in the ME probably

wordler · 02/03/2025 17:11

Roast chicken engagement dinner was mentioned because it was an example of how they can never tell the same story twice and it’s an example of how untrustworthy their narratives about anything are.

So they say in the engagement interview that they were cooking a roast chicken in the kitchen when Harry suddenly proposed.

Then in either Oprah or the Netflix documentary they show footage of the proposal being filmed and its outside at night on a picnic blanket with candles and a dog.

So I assume when a poster is talking about their inauthentic messaging issue they are going to bring up the significant moments where their ‘truth stretching’ has been evident.

Extiainoiapeial · 02/03/2025 17:19

What does it matter? He proposed over a chicken or on a rug? It's hardly world beating lies is it?
I find the forensic examination of every tiny thing they say ridiculous! They prepared roast chicken, he proposed, who cares about the exact moment he said the words. Maybe he proposed in the kitchen and then said let's go outside, I want to ask you in the moonlight. Shock horror how could he 🤣😂🤣
For people to be worked up by this is truly bonkers!

Edited

No one seems to be worked up about it - it’s just why it got mentioned again - so long after the date it happened (you were complaining about ) - as part of a list of examples about how untrustworthy their narratives are.

And the reason it keeps getting discussed is mainly because every year or so they publish for profit or publicity set of stories about themselves: Oprah, The Cut profile, Netflix documentary, Spare etc.

Presumably they want to be talked about based on that. And the stories keep changing or are published with obvious and verifiable mistakes - so again that gets attention.

It’s like Andrew with his no sweating comment - people are going to reference that forever because it was such a weird thing to say.

Obviously people are worked up about it because it is such a non-event why even mention it.

No sweating is really weird, it doesn't equate with the engagement chicken dinner and when Harry said the words will you marry me. No comparison

Extiainoiapeial · 02/03/2025 18:36

Anyway moving on, this is a thread about Andrew, let's talk about his obvious lies about cutting contact with a sex offender, followed up by proof he kept in contact. Far worse than a chicken dinner marriage proposal don't you think?

Of course Andrew's behaviour is awful - but once you say that what more is there to say? Apart from I'd like to see more transparency about his various schemes when he was supposed to be working on behalf of the country. And I've already said that before.

The only reason I posted about the proposal story issue, was that you asked why people are still talking about something from seven years ago and I was explaining that it's not the story on its own that is of interest, it's when it's brought up as part of a pattern of Harry and Meghan changing the past and either outright lying or making misleading statements.

And re this point of yours:

No sweating is really weird, it doesn't equate with the engagement chicken dinner and when Harry said the words will you marry me. No comparison

I can't tell whether you really don't understand my point or you are being deliberately obtuse, but I didn't say those two stories/statements were equivalent in any way.

I said it was an example of when people in the public eye say or do weird stuff it gets referenced for years afterwards no matter how long ago.

That applies to a little bit weird or misleading (chicken engagement) or downright batshit crazy and an attempt to possibly lie about a crime (no sweat). Weird stuff sticks to you and gets repeated - big and small stuff.

Me too, Puzzled but I'm not holding my breath.

Euge also seen glad-handing in Tokyo on Daddy's behalf not so long ago.

Amazing how the pair of them seem to be able to jet off at the drop of a hat despite being devoted to their thriving careers.

@wordler But not a word on how Andrew lied about how he can not sweat because he is a war hero?

Yep.

According to this article all neatly tied in with a convenient work trip too:

So it seems we have a side hustle with expenses paid by others. Proper chip off the old block 👌

Extiainoiapeial · 03/03/2025 12:11

iIt has now been revealed that the event in Tokyo was run by Andrew’s new company Innovate Global jointly with Startupbootcamp (SBC), a Dutch-based conglomerate that funds start-up businesses around the world.

She tried her best but the company who was going to buy up pitch palace contacts has pulled out so that didn't work.

Can Andrew not travel to Japan?

Also....
Royal family members who use an HRH title are strongly discouraged from pursuing commercial ventures and the deals could prevent Eugenie taking on an official royal role in future

Howzat then, given she uses HRH titles and has done royal engagements?

Just shows other example of royal hypocrisy and continued to highlight how they just do whatever they like and get away with it. It's like those things are there in writing like your corporate values at work but reality is noone gives a crap and its not adhered to.

Well that's a new one on me, @Extiainoiapeial; I'd never heard of Innovate Global, far less that it was a new company set up with Andrew

Off to google ...

Edited to add I'm mistaken; it seems Innovate Global is the name for the international version of Pitch@Palace, and while I was aware this existed I just hadn't known the name

At least it's a small relief that he hasn't set up yet something else Hmm

Tomatotater · 03/03/2025 13:01

I don't think he can leave a Royal property in case he gets arrested by the FBI. Let alone leave the UK.

Extiainoiapeial · 03/03/2025 13:47

I thought he'd sneaked off to the middle east at one point but maybe I have that wrong. I know if he's got his two daughters doing his schmoozing for him over there and in Japan I suppose he's not going to risk it.
I bet he misses his golfing in America and spent a lot of time doing that but of course he can never go there again

So faux royal tours like the other pair get labelled as doing. Why aren't the same people commenting on these I wonder. Why is the purpose, why are they going? Who is paying for them? Why expertise do they have to be talking at an economical forum...blah blah blah
