With the exection of Sophis in blue and B's husband, I'm sorry but the Royals look ill and sad. It's a shame.

I wasn't being unpleasant about people who are ill. I was making a passing observation. I don't think some of them looked well. Maybe tired, poor light, hangovers....who knows? I would never be unkind about people recovering from any illness.

I may well ask for it to be removed.

Do you just mean they look old? That’s not exactly surprising given the decades the adult royal family members have been in the public eye. Getting older (and looking older) is not a moral failing.

Some people think that members of the royal family are not allowed to age, get ill, ir look less than pristine, even if they've been through chemo.

Starting this thread was unkind to people recovering from cancer, plus their loved ones who no doubt have suffered worry and stress, some of whom have had their own documented ill health, some of whom might well have the same lurgies going around the wider populace, all of whom may not be looking their best right now. Why start it unless you want people to pile on with you about their looks? You are starting to sound disingenuous now.

They looked the same as always to me on the news. The children looked like children who are having to suspend Christmas to do something quite boring under a lot of scrutiny. I actually really dislike the way the children are treated at this - imagine asking a child for a selfie. There are some adults who need to think about how they treat others.

If you want to criticise cancer sufferers and their families for looking "sad" and "ill" as the OP did, knock yourself out. I think people can draw their own conclusions about the people who would start a thread to do that and those joining in with them, and are free to express those conclusions as the OP was free to start this thread.

It's absolutely disgusting how people ask those children for selfies, like they are performing monkeys! Really, what sort of person does this? It's just wrong 😕.

MerryMaker seems to think that the RF should be wandering around with both a walking aid and an umbrella, just to prove to idiots that they aren't anti disabled (although they may well become disabled when they trip over one/both of the two items!)

I don't think for a moment OP was being unkind. Quite the reverse . All have us have loved ones who have had cancer or had it ourselves so I'm sure no insensitivity implied.It's part of our lives. I hear colleagues talking about how the RF look regularly, its just showing concern.

I wasn't being unkind. The original post was a " thinking out loud" moment. ( badly typed) I thought Sophie looked nice in a bit of colour and Eduardo always looks dapper and animated. Catherine always gives 100 per cent it seems to me. Some of the others looked weary and the the dull colours of the clothing didn't help on a December day. That's it. It can't be easy for the children and at least one of them looked like he'd rather not be there.
The RF are humans and I guess like many of us doing their best.

William has lost weight and it makes him look a bit less healthy. Edward looks very thin and pale. He looks like a man not taking care of himself.
Charles does not look well for obvious reasons. He has had cancer for a bout a year so of course he is not going to look well.
The rest look fine, although dully dressed.
