Ouch that's got to touch a nerve for the Sussexes ! I did notice that VB was respectfully dressed as was only right for the occasion.

Why?

Why were they there? Because of the World Cup etc? Didn't Beckham get enough flack for his links with all that?

Is this for Qatar? Am I missing something? Aren’t women’s human rights totally trashed in Qatar? Why is there a state dinner?

The clip on the News at 10 just now showed Victoria looking painfully uncomfortable. She saw the camera and looked petrified and grabbed David’s hand.

Well I guess the thread could be about the Beckhams and it is unreasonable that they are there as its a well known fact that VB only eats fish and grilled veg for the last 40 years, so quails eggs and pheasant are a no go. Interestingly earlier news reports were that Camilla wasn’t going to the Qatar state dinner and Kate would go instead. Later reports were that camilla wasn’t going to the RVP and no mention of the Qatar reception. My thoughts earlier were that Camilla was objecting rightly to the misogynistic Qatar regime. I’m probably wrong as it’s disappeared from any news headlines.

These state dinners are paid for by us. In our name.

Camilla and Kate split the workload, like a job share as Camilla is still recovering from pneumonia she opted out of the outside bit but turned up for dinner, Kate did the outdoors meet and greet and then went home to get the kids to bed and comfy in her PJs whilst Will stayed on at the banquet. No clue why the Beckhams were there

Qatar government / state should not be entertained at our expense. Whether Charles (with the bag full of 1million) and Kate and Camilla and beckhams there or not. Never understood how the 1 million in a plastic bag through the airport ever just got forgotten?
